As an Italian I did not expect Charlie to talk about this, but I'm glad he did. It's been all over the national news these last few days. I can't imagine the grief of the mother, a child dead because of one of the stupidest reasons ever
Being Italian, would jerk translate into something in Italian that would be far stronger than it is in English? Just curious because I don't speak the language.
@@Skitzodudkids can’t help What They enjoy, They just see a loud funny guy screaming and making faces so They click. Hello, Italian here. I remember watching the news the day (06/12/2023) and being traumatized. People of my age watched them (12-15 yrs old watched them usually) so this was very hard to settle with. the guy that made the clip is called Loiacono, even though it might not seem like that, he was the one that tried to help more (still a fucking idiotic douchebag, considering he tried to help using ice). The terrifying fact is that theese guys after the incident, said to a person (that saw everything) "Don't worry, we will pay the family and everything will be fine". The italian jury sistem is very slow, so expect them to be in jail in probably six months. Also, the driver, Matteo, was high on marijuana. Remeber these guys were for kids. I hope that the things that these jerks (which is a hard word in italian) will discourage others from doing the same acts. Stay safe.
American football player for the Oakland Raiders, a grown adult, was drunk and speeding recklessly and ran into a woman’s car. Igniting it and burning the woman and her dog alive. Bystanders said they could hear the woman and dog screaming to death. The football player is only facing 3-10 years in prison. America and their media are silent. Y’all have no position to criticize Italian teenagers when you have grown adults doing worse and getting away with it on your own soil.

Fortunately we had a quite recent law change here in Italy that allows street crashes to be treated as homicides and not as an incident under the right circumstances, and I really hope this can be applied here.
Maybe the only time it is worth applying, most of the people charged with “road homicide” are just regular sober people driving at speed limit that had some unforeseeable unreactable accident.
@@Exploud Eh, in the US few people who kill people in drunk or reckless driving accidents even spend any time at all in prison. There was the one kid that got probation after killing four while drunk driving. I think aggressive laws like this (within the right circumstances, of course, not if it’s a legitimate accident when going the speed limit etc) are necessary

Thank you Critikal for talking about this horrible tragedy. I'm italian and live an hour away from where it happened. In Italy everyone is talking about this, and I'm glad that you are spreading the news in other countries. Hopefully we can stop this from happening more often

As an Italian I must say I’m impressed you covered this story at all and the level of research made beforehand that shows your dedication to deliver this story to “outsiders”. I just wanna point out a few extra details that probably got lost in translation/journalists writing the news down. Sorry for my bad English in advance as it’s not my first language and it is currently half past three. First of all pretty much no one knew who these people even were before this happened as we don’t have as much of a RU-vid culture as other countries do (too many old people and not a lot of public to share with other content creators [whether on TikTok, RU-vid, Twitch, etc…]) and for those who do have such culture, they’re mostly interested in far better channels than that. The dynamics of the incidents are still under investigation but what is clear is that the mongloids (I’ll try to avoid using other, way harsher terms) hit the other car directly on the side (I believe you guys call it T-bone [?]) with a Lamborghini Urus against a Smart ForFour which is the equivalent of an heavily armored truck against a paperclip where the little Manuel seems to have been sitting on the passenger’s seat on his mom side when they got crashed upon. The mom and the daughter got immediately rushed to the hospital where they were red-coded until not so long ago and whilst they both recovered to a safe state, the mother hasn’t released any declarations nor has she spoken to the police due to the psychological shock. RU-vid started a special procedure to block any advertisements to ever be shown on the channel since they didn’t set any of their videos to private/unlisted (yes, even after they published that apology video) and were still getting revenue that was increasing massively due to the mediatic echo of the accident. The video from TikTok you saw was an extra they did (gotta milk that content when you spend thousands to rent a luxury vehicle) that was supposed to represent “How today’s kids act when they get a luxury car” which, funnily enough, they ended up representing way better than one would’ve imagined. Also the very first day of the accident one of the guys (I believe the one from the TikTok video) went as far as being sorry for the accident but immediately clarifying that he was not the one driving (cause that will make you look better). Finally the two idiots had to move out of the neighbourhood as they were receiving lots of death threats and there’s voices that the TikTok one might’ve even fled out of the country.
Welp, there's no coming back from that one. Even if they regretted it. Taking an innocent life is a sin you can't wash off. Jeez, they should've follow mr beast recent video and made a video about helping disabled people.

Killed by a group of selfish people who serve ZERO purpose, and absolute wastes of oxygen. I hope they live their lives knowing the fuckery they did to end a child's life and create a massive scar on a loving mother.

Hey, fellow Italian here It also appears that right after the incident they got out of the car filming the whole awful scene not understanding the situation at all. I feel just disgusted by this whole thing, Manuel riposa in pace❤
Oh my god if I got into a car crash where my child died and 5 douche bags hop out of a Lamborghini with cameras pointed at me I think I would catch a murder charge. That’s not ok in the slightest
The fact that right after the incident took place the first thing they thought was about how to convert what happened into content instead of making sure everyone was ok is so messed up.
Ikr the kid was laying on the ground with people trying to revive him because he was in cardiac arrest..and they were successful but unfortunately it wasn't enough and the kid passed away from his injuries later in the hospital...and in all this chaos those assholes were completely unfazed
As someone who lost their mother at a young age, I couldn't imagine it the other way around. Someone with so much life ahead of them so abruptly cut short. My heart goes out to this mother and her other child.
It's very difficult to describe the sheer hatred I feel for people who not only speed, but record themselves doing it, in an inhabited area. I stopped halfway through the video and noticed my teeth and fists were painfully clenched. It genuinely brings a tear to my eye to hear a young child perished due to the actions of these morons.
People like this should genuinely be locked up. They’re so selfish, closed minded, and inconsiderate that they should be considered a danger to others. It takes a good 2 seconds of shallow thinking to realize that driving a car at very high speeds is a bad idea but they’re so self obsessed that they can’t think of any consequences that their actions might have on others.
Im Italian, and i have an incredibly sad thing to tell. After they crash, one of the crew members was still recording the scene. The only thing they were caring wasn't even the healt of the child, they were only thinking about making "content" By the way, the word jerk can be comparized to "rincoglionto" that is a very aggressive word to use.
I'm Italian, and just for the record, witnesses say that after the fact they kept filming outside the crashed car laughing like schoolgirls while people gathered all around (all of this happened in the road in front of a kindergarten). They really thought they could post this shit. Imagine the level of alienation of certain people.

Did they show any remorse?? If not, I think it should be fair for any random person to hit them with their vehicle if they're seen anywhere on the streets. Im glad he covered the whole classification of what to call them. These people were not "jerks". these people intentionally and knowingly did something dangerous that would and did affect others. These people are killers. Anyone of them could have said, "hey this is too far" or "hey lets think about this", but no. People are doing more and more dangerous things and I don't blame the Italian people for reacting in horror due to what happened to this innocent family. Italian culture is very family oriented and tight-knit as a community. Italians reacting as if it was their own baby brother isn't a surprise.
Seeing the picture of the mother and her children made me so emotional. That poor child lost their life at such a young age because clout-chasers wanted to be assholes. I hope the family recovers from this the best they can.
They're getting exactly what they deserve. Permanently losing your license and access to social media is nothing compared to the guilt of having killed a child due to your own behavior. As an Italian, I say that there's a good chance these guys will most likely see very few years of imprisonment if they ever go to jail. Cases of people killing someone, even children, during car accident because they couldn't bother to follow basic rules are not that uncommon and they often lead to generally light punishments of at best a decade in jail. I hope what happened with Michele Bravi doesnt happen here just because these guys are famous cause these people are seriously dangerous and they should be locked up.

The actual Oxford Languages definition of “Jerk” is a contemptibly obnoxious person. So, while it’s a clinical definition, it perfectly describes these people.
potential reasons for the perceived weakness of the jerk comment: 1. he might have wanted to say something that would be considered highly unprofessional and couldn't think of a good word swap 2. what was actually said might not translate well into English and the closest equivalent is might be "jerk"

I genuinely believe that we need to start passing laws that massively increases the severity of crimes committed due to wanting to film a video for social media. Some sort of "pre-meditated reckless endangerment" sort of thing. Because the fact they're filming and recording commentary and whatnot about the reckless, dangerous acts (and outright crimes - Looking at you, "robbing a bank as a prank" dude) proves that it was INTENTIONAL to put others at pointless risk all for personal gain. We really, REALLY need to start taking more action against terminal stupidity. I shouldn't have to fear for my life when doing literally anything because someone nearby is the kind of genius that thinks a book is going to block a bullet from a D.eagle.

This wrenches my heart apart, as a mother, I can't even begin to imagine it. The mere suggestion is horrifying. Yes the average world wide height of a man is 5’9 and the woman is 5’4, but that doesn’t mean that being 5’4 automatically means your tall because you are a woman-your still pretty fudgin short. And being 5’9 is pretty tall-literally being a few inches away from being 6ft

That’s unacceptable. The death of a child because of someone’s reckless driving and disregard of other peoples’ lives shouldn’t be worth only 4 years in prison
Just wanted to say this: on top of everything that happened, this incident was most likely caused by the fact that the driver was not only driving extremely fast, but also apparently under the influence: I don't think a person could be much worse than these guys

4:14, actually, here is Rome, and all over Italy, it's 10-15 years that this attidute is spreading between younger folks, here in Rome they are called Bori (boro singular), in other parts of Italy they are called in many other ways (the italian language has like 100 different dialects so it's usual) they act stupid in public, wear street clothes but expensive shoes, a massive total of 2 haircuts to choose from the pool (either 0.1mm on the sides and ceasar-like on the top or 0.1mm on the side and short curls on the top).
