@@Jordan_elaine I use to never binge but Throne of Glass did something to my brain. I started book 2 immediately also. Have you seen book 3?! 761 pages and the font may be a smidge smaller than book 2. I switched to Kindle for it because she’s a brick
My opinion is, of course, EXTREMELY biased (I'm aroace), but romance always seems to ruin stories for me. Sometimes, it makes me uncomfortable to the point that I don't want to read the book anymore. It's possible that I just happen to end up with badly written stories, though lol
@@Ouroboros-j3l a love story without any intimate scenes. Or does being aroace mean you don’t like any amount of a love story even if just in the most superficial way? so then I’d be curious what books you do enjoy reading? :)
@@Jordan_elaine I don't hate all romance in stories. I can even like it. But given the choice between a romantic story and one where the protagonist doesn't get a love interest, I'll always choose the latter. If by intimate you mean sexual, then absolutely. Those types of things completely ruin anything for me. But wholesome, family friendly stuff is ok (if it's not the main/a big focus of the story) My favorite book series, Wings of Fire, is meant for young teens, so it's very tame lol. It, of course, has a good bit of romance in it, which can get kinda irritating at times. But for the most part, a good story with interesting characters, a healthy amount of platonic love and a little sprinkling of romance is completely fine by me. However, I don't like romance novels (when romance is the main focus). It makes me feel annoyed, uncomfortable and alienated. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me :) (Note: This can vary GREATLY between ace and aro people. The a-spec is a wide spectrum, after all)
