I don't think this is a bug but a fix. This should be how weapon actually works. Is not a Buff making the shield works properly. Is what It has to be done
They fixed the most important game ruining issue: If you hold forward when leaving grizzco, you will immediately walk back into the door and be forced to stare at the loading screen and contemplate your life decisions. In all seriousness this was a legit pet peeve of mine, its one of my go to responses for when people ask about minor Splatoon nitpicks.
Important detail people are missing: the dynamo buff specifies fewer gaps in inking and *attacks,* which means its damage hitbox is about to get a lot more consistent.
Awwww. I really enjoyed the no contest time. It gives you some time to meet up with the enemy team and have a squid party to commiserate about the match getting cancelled last minute.
Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of reducing that no contest time, that's not the issue with that. The issue is how long the ERROR MESSAGE lingers, THAT's what needed to be shortened. It takes forever for it to disappear, way longer than you need to read it and you only would need to read it the first time you ever got a disconnect, and there's no way to speed it up, you just have to stare at it and wait it out. At least with the time before that message appears, you are still actually _playing a video game_ and can goof off and party with the other players for a bit, but with that stupidly long message there is NOTHING. That message is what they should have cut short.
i really like that they're aiming to reduce visual clutter, i hope they address the ridiculous amount of splashing when ink hits the floor sometime though; the effect is a lot more pronounced in this game than 2 and it can be really distracting for me also that carbon vertical hitbox buff should've gone to swig man 😭 at least it combos with pencil slightly better now?
I don't think it will be the current season going overtime. I think it will just be a catalog that will last forever (getting a mystery box every 10 catalog levels), and X Battle resetting every 3 months.
I’m excited to see if anyone starts to pick up douser after the buff. I there is another buff to it like shortening the frames of end lag after a roll, I really think we will see it more in comp.
I feel like this patch is a really great “setup” for the next patch It fixes a bunch of smaller stuff that overall makes the game feel better to play (ex brellas, vac, slider cheese) For a smaller patch, it’s not bad
Honestly, I feel like the Slider cheese nerf might just be a 'we'll do this and see if we need to tone it back more' situation. Which, honestly, is the strategy I would personaly prefer to see in place. Since they can always change things again until the final patch
Well someone pointed out the “end of current season” section didn’t mention adding “new” content or features, like previous season notes. Maybe the catalogues will cycle and count as a “new season” for X rank
Their plans at the bottom said next patch would be focused on nerfs, so unless they decide to gut every strong non shooter I don't see s2 meta coming back
As a Carbon main, I’m very happy about the hitbox buff as I’ve had so many issues when playing the game and just barely missing people because of the range.
I think a really cool change to bubble would be so enemy shots cant go through either side, so you could basically bait enemies into the bubble and they cant shoot out of it
@@zekkomite itd make bubble easier to play around, since now mid range bubble weapons would have no weaknesses since they can't be run down, also roller would be unkillable and if you place a bubble on objective the enemy team cant take it over
I feel like there’s still a problem with i VAC and sometimes I’ve been encountered this when explosion hits something like a pole on the other side of the pole when it explodes, it does no damage, even though visually you were inside of the explosion
That's just the hitbox being blocked by the wall, though I do think it would be nice if they either changed the visuals to show that or made it able to hit through them
yo this is SO good visualising stuff really helps to take it to mind. saying that, I think you might have put right and left douser duelies ff wrong as in the mock ups they show em using more ink instead of less
I’m curious to see how the buffs turn out for everyone. Also I realized yesterday (4AM as of typing this) that the bubble is a beyblade reference, ripcord and all. And I’ve been playing since launch 😅
i've always gotten the impression that no matter what nerfs they do stamper still remains on top so like either they'd go HARD on it or they've completely given up
Wait if the brella opens sooner on other peoples screens wounldnt it mean that if you hold the fire button but release just before opening the brella it wil open on the opponents screen anyway. I don’t know if this will be useful but it’s definitely weird.
Congrats to all the Dynamo players, that buff was sorely deserved. And if the S-blast buff carries over to salmon run I could see that being a kind of significant buff to it's horde fighting capabilities.
2 years and they don't seem to think a telegraphed special that catapults you into the firing line of 3 enemy players should destroy bombs/projectiles in its explosion lol
huh, it seems that special Weapon Triangle theory that's floating around regarding the Special Balance has some merit (also im now even more sad that Hydra didnt get a bubble)
Hot take: In splatoon 4 there can come a third type of chargers; no scope, with scope, and detachable scope. In this way you can switch tactic mid-fight if an enemy for example comes to close. But this would be too op if we dont do some balance changes on that, first of all you wont get the range buff when you switch to the scope mode, and an own nerf to this type eliter and splat charger. Let me know your opinion of this idea in the replies please, thank you in advance.
The carbon buff isn't the same biff as the other rollers because the other rollers got a radius buff while carbon got a fall off buff. Which is a buff carbon also got already
I honestly really hope that the next patch is going to tone down a lot of really powerful subs and specials and the really powerful weapons and give buffs to a lot of the weaker ones, like giving cooler slightly less buffs overall or slightly less time it's available making zuka have more time in between shots making snipe Rider have a little bit of time before it can shoot each shot etc etc and then hopefully we see weaker weapons get some variety of buffs you know getting to jump in with super chumps or like wave doing like five waves that come out at random intervals and the special itself getting like two times the hell to make it harder to dodge etc etc
I will happily take any buffs to big bubbler. It constantly gets shredded so fast that it's no better than a splash wall half the time. Heck, Splattercolor screen is more effective. Now they just need to make it so tristrike and booyah can't damage opponents inside the bubble and it might be halfway to being a usable special.
I feel like we’ll be getting patches for longer than we expect, I mean Splatoon 2 was updated until late 2021, after content was stopped in 2019. Who knows, maybe Sheldon’s Picks will come out later, just not tied to a season
I'm still fully convinced after sizzle ends they're just gonna start repeating the seasons. Probably going to get the very first one again come September
bubbler buff against zooka is very much welcome, sure it would still be up after the three shots but end shortly after, it being a trade off isnt fair when one special gets a lot of value and the other doesnt, bubbler being able to tank and still b up for a while makes it a lot more respectable
If you could give kraken that compensation buff ,what would it be. I have an idea of slightly reducing knock back when you're not charging an attack (meaning kraken will slightly move better when swimming)
You've said a short while back that pro players were starting to stop playing the game because of the state of the meta. What thing was it that made them come back to "One of the best metas the series ever had"? Was it the meta stabilizing into Midline focused?
I don't know why you think were getting a season 9 when in previous parches they specified they were adding fearures. To me, it seems clear there is no 9th season, but balance changes will continue for a bit
I hope instead of nerfing squeezer they rework it. This is what I hope they do. Nerf the squeezers ranged attack by nerfing damage to 35, making it strafe slower after two tap shots, and take a few frames to recover your ink, but I would like them to buff the painting by improving ink efficiency , increasing fire rate by 20%, and range by a bit.
I’m a brush main, and I was really hoping they would do something to help us out and am a little let down. I feel like they keep buffing mid range and it really hurts brush users.
It almost feels as if they’re trying to buff every weapon so that each weapon has a certain viability when put in the proper setting. They should nerf cooler a few seconds and put trizooka back at its original damage. For a buff I think they should buff super chumps and ultra stamp. Would love to see what they could do with 3rd kit ideas.
