It's actually unknown why the deck is called that, that was the joke. There is a theory that it was supposed to be called "nice fit" because the person who originally built it thought it was a nice fit for a bunch of cards they liked and the name got either misspelled or misread but nobody really knows

@NastierNate I thought a guy named Nick brewed this. He ended up selling it to a friend so that he could afford a gym membership to get in shape. Hence Nic Fit

That intro fits nicely. For the question at the end, rather than asking why have the nic fit package in this deck besides grief, I'd ask why we're playing fluff like Ensnaring bridge and rather old Nic Fit tech like Pernicious deed instead of it. The nic fit package makes more sense when you consider that a reanimator package will add 4-dropps and 6-drops into your deck for the long game, rather than trying to stall the game for a combo win and play to board control that are just dead draws against actual control and combo matchups. Hang on, I think I'm just going to make this deck myself.

That 4 Leyline draw is why I perfer the "weaker" Faerie answer for Graveyard stuff. Drawing even a 2nd Leyline after you already have it in play feels so bad to me. At least with Faerie if you are drawing too many of them, you can in a pinch have a 2/2 flyer.

I have been liking 3 or 4 faeries and an Unlicensed Hearse. The Hearse is actually pretty great in some of the Loam/Uro or Delver matchups where you wouldn't necessarily want a Faerie.

@derekcline950 yeah, 3 Faerie and 2 Hearse is my default graveyard hate. Great VS exhume where you can Faerie their target, get your flyer and later use it the crew a big Hearse.

The reason its called nicfit is that the nic is short for Saint Nicolas, aka Saint Nick, aka Santa, because this deck is always such a gift and the fit is short for fitness because the deck always works out. Hope this helps :D

Round 3, 31:50 Green Sun's Zenith for Dryad Arbor doesn't actually thin the deck (GSZ gets shuffled back in). Though I still think you made the correct play

I added the chain of smog combo to my turbo depths deck after they banned probe and deathrite. Its nice with the turn one kill and 4 hymns

Thoughts on swapping profane tutor out for something like Shed Memory? It costs 1 more and can only find ~1/3 of the deck, but gives you the card immediately instead of after a 2 turn delay.

Sometimes I wonder if it's time to play guttural response in legacy for green decks. It's probably not but I still wonder. Edit: Nevermind I just realized veil is strictly better. Also do you think innocent blood would be a decent replacement for cabal therapy in certain matchups?

It is really good, except when it isn't. If you overboard for the combo aspect, it is relatively easy to lose to fair cards like Stoneforge and Urza's Saga.
