Thank you so much for featuring my team! It is definitely an honor to be on your channel because not only do I watch you everyday, but I every time I make a team I always think, would Cybertron use this team? 😂. When the game dropped, I heard of people using Hariyama with normal tera guts and facade. I thought flareon could do the same thing but cooler 😂. The team is definitely hard to use but it is so fun to pick up kos with flareon and to put on immediate pressure with life orb azumarill instead of taking a turn to set up. Arboliva also hits super hard after a tera and a throat spray boost. You also can use tinkatons feint to deny protect on the last turn of trick room, or if you think somebody will protect on your fake out, as it will still go first and break the sash of whatever mon it hits. I also caught the shaq meme for flareon “I’m sorry I wasn’t aware of your game” 😂 thanks again man as it is an honor to be featured on your page.
You'd know Aaron is dedicated to his craft if you followed him during the last quarter of SWSH, using all he could to switch it up. He is one of few, that's for sure. Bless him.
Sorry if this has been said but a slight correction on your weakness for the team: Tinkaton can fake out vs Tsareena (& Farigiraf or Bruxish) due to mold breaker ignoring the ability. This also allows feint against them, too :) Love the videos and you're as informative and clear as ever! QOTD I'd love to buff Espeon, but I'd have no idea how. Time to look into it for a team I guess, to see why I never see it! Again, sorry if the correction has already been said. I couldn't see it in other comments as I was scrolling.
Ikr, as a Gallade lover since gen 4 when I caught my shiny Adamant boy Ralts on a chain of 1, I am so happy to see him get the love he deserved. All he's missing is a bit of speed but I think he's found a lovely niche.
QOTD: I don't know how broken this would be, but i would give all Eeveelutions their respective Weather/Terrain Ability. So Vaporeon would get Drizzle, Flareon would get Drought, Jolteon would get Electric Surge and so on. Umbreon is the odd one there as it doesn't have a fitting Ability, so maybe it could get something like Prankster? The Eeveelutions are some of my favourite Pokemon, so i'd just like to see them become really strong.
Dang this format is just full of options isn’t it. Super cool to constantly see new things. For todays question I’d give every Eeveelution (except Sylveon which already has pixelate) an -ate equivalent from their type. I think every special attacking eevee would love the stab hyper voice and the more physical ones having facade pressure seems nuts.
On the phys side, Flareon and Leafeon would love Quick Attack becoming a Fire/Grass priority move too. I think this would be surprisingly effective for a simple change.
Flareon is my favorite Eeveelution - thanks for uploading this set! Also, I had forgotten Arboliva learned Hyper Voice. It seems like a Pokemon that could have a very interesting role in the metagame.
I would recommend if running Tinkaton in Trick Room, to consider Ice Hammer. Coverage against ground type weakness while also lowering your own speed. Also decent power when not using Gigaton Hammer and Fake Out.
I love how versatile of a player you are Aaron. Able to pick up and pilot any team. It's truly impressive. And the constantly switching of teams makes it harder to do so
On game 2, you didn't need to fear yawn from Sylveon at all because toxic orb would have activated on Flareon, preventing you from being put to sleep the next turn.
I have been using that exact same flareon set for awhile and haven’t been able to build a consistent team around it. I’m so excited to watch this video!! Thank you for all the great content you always get out to us!
14:05 did the calc out of curiosity -- helping-hand facade is a guaranteed OH-KO onto Murkrow in that situation, even if Murkrow were 252 HP, 252 Def eviolite
Been rewatching your content Aaron. Rough time in my household atm and your content has been helping to get me through. So thank you for all the uploads over the years. I greatly appreciate you and all the hard work you put into tour channel. These are my favorite kinds of episodes; the off meta and anti-meta teams. Also the episodes where you feature the team that crushed you previously 😁 Always a blast with you. Keep of the great work my man 🤘🏾
You questioning near the end if that was choice band reminds me that I really miss the option to see the other players team after a match. Thought it was a cool feature, specially when you run into a really neat or clever team.
Honestly I think a minor buff to their Base Stats, like all eeveelutions from 525 to 550 would give them just a small enough nudge to be more viable or enable other sets, but not enough to break them. Vaporeon: +15 speed, +5 Def, +5 SP.Atk Jolteon: +10 Sp.Def, +10 HP, +5 Def Flareon: +15 Speed, +10HP Espeon: +10HP, +5 Def, +5 Sp.Def, +5 Speed Umbreon: +10HP, +5 Atk, +10 SP.Atk Leafeon: +15 HP, +5 Sp. Def ,+5 Sp.Atk Glaceon: +10 HP, +10 Speed, +5 Sp.Def Sylveon: +10 Speed, +10 HP, +5 Def
Yeah this is good, although it would be borderline broken. it has good bulk and in snow it's physical defense uninvested is bananas. Only weakness is a garbage movepool
To respond to the QOTD, I think the main thing that is holding back most of the eeveelutions are their bad movepool. The too main examples are Flareon and Jolteon which are kinda interesting and they have some qualities but their movepools are just not good enough which hurts them a lot. Nice video as well. It's fun to see uncommon pokemons when we normally just see the same 20 pokemons out of the 1008 pokemons that exist.
Hello CybertronVGC I have been a Pokemon fan since I was 4 years old, and have been playing Singles on Pokemon Online (yes, pre-Showdown) since I was 11. My cousin taught me about Smogon and EVs and I had a few in-game teams but I was never really "good" at the game. Just a fan who had peeked behind the curtain. Just today, I reached Master Ball Tier on Battle Stadium Doubles and I feel ecstatic. I used a MonoDark team that I trained up myself. It was a ton of fun, and I had to force myself to adjust my team and my movesets in order to respond to the meta. It's not a huge achievement in the grand scheme of things, but it means a lot to me that I have concrete proof that I _have_ gotten better at the game after all these years. I directly attribute all this to your daily gameplay videos since the start of Scarlet and Violet. I've learned so much from the Teambuilding phase and from the actual gameplay, from good prep to reads to meta knowledge. You articulate your thoughts in a really clear manner that makes the content educational as well as immensely entertaining. You're my favorite Pokemon content creator on RU-vid. Please, keep it up! Thank you for this awesome content
This was one of the most fun episodes. So many battles, and so many moments where we got to see Aaron in sticky situations, I'm so used to him being so in control. Credit to Aaron too, because this team doesn't actually look that easy to pilot.
@@tinyt.w.i.m7291 wouldn't sacred sword be better since it's new ability makes it a stronger cc without drawbacks? Or is the other ability that much better?
I’ve been using Flareon most of this season and it’s honestly so strong if you get it in the right position. I pair mine with a Toedscruel for redirection and trick room. So cool to see it here! The only thing holding back Flareon imo is it’s low defense but it’s special bull is honesty insane.
I think Eeveelutions should get access to the terrain/weather effects as abilities (example Drought on Flareon) I think that would be a interesting buff.
I had this answer ready, just had to tweak a few to for SV xD Vaporeon: Drizzle and Defog, Eeveelutions need a way to get rid of hazards so the meme team can work. Jolteon: Icy Wind (I miss HP Ice, might be busted tho), Electric Surge instead of Quick Feet . Flareon: Drought would make Flareon viable as a support mon and Wild Charge would be a cool coverage which also lines up with the other recoil moves it have. Clear Smog would also be cool. Espeon: Psychic Surge, Espeon already got pretty cool coverage and moves imo. Umbreon: Dark Aura and Knock Off, Knock Off would make it more viable in VGC and Dark Aura would make its moves at least somewhat viable damage vise. Sucker Punch could be interesting for Singles. I would rather give Umbreon utility then coverage. Follow Me would make Umbreon busted. Leafeon: Grassy Surge, give it back Knock Off and maybe give it Leech Life. Then you can run a Bulky Leafeon with Grassy Glide, Knock Off and Leech Life and just be annoying, but not impossible. I really want Earthquake on it, but I cannot justify that. Glaceon: Snow Warning, Aurora Veil. This would make Glaceon an intresting support option. Slush Rush could be fun but also busted. But I really want a coverage move preferably Earth Power. Sylveon: Misty Surge just to line up with the theme of the other suggestions. The movepool was perfect til they removed Mystical Fire so I'd give that back. Also Sylveon firing of Scarf Misty Explosions sounds like hilarious trolling if it gets that back in a future DLC.
I love seeing you win one that you didn’t give up on. It’s like you’re in an anime 😂 Even though you doubt Flareon your character growth with it was huge this episode.
I feel azumarill is a completely different pokemon after adding fairy typing. I can remember playing emerald in Gen 3 when azumarill was just a water type, and it's stats were much to be desired. And now the past few years I've seen plenty of teams were azumarill is one of the main sweepers / key pieces to the team. I just love how unique pokemon is in that way, and the way they update / rework some pokemons' . Keeps the game fresh while not having to 100% wipe out the old pokemon and bring brand news ones every year. Nice mix of nostalgia and Shiney new toy lmao. I love it ❤
59:46, I'm not sure what the calc of Flareon quick attack onto Arboliva is, but if it's not too much, you could quick attack yourself to activate grassy terrain faster for energy ball boost, or even just to reduce earthquake damage, including on prior turns when t-tar is out. This should work better with Azu as you should take even less damage from aqua jet
Although it wouldn't do much for its competitive viability, I think it's pretty absurd Umbreon doesn't have access to Toxic anymore. Pokedex entry describes it using a toxic spray. I suppose the easiest way to make Umbreon better competitively is improving its movepool and maybe giving it a different hidden ability. The first thing that comes to mind is giving it Trick Room, since it has Inner Focus.
I wonder how coalossal would do without gmax, dragapult seems to get along fine without it but we’re not seeing a whole lot of it. Hopefully we see a few meta shifts develop before they allow paradox and ruins Pokémon and every team just gets built around them.
People finally get to see how good Arboliva is! They be sleeping on Arboliva. Besides Meowscarada and Tinkaton, its definitely in my top favourites Pokemon from gen 9
Wow! Seen Flareon in VGC is like a dream come true :D I always loved Flareon but its so hard to use. The only buff I could think of is to give the eeveelutions +15 to all the base stats that arent 130 and 110 and + 5 to the 95 stat. Would make them over all bulkier. We need a Steel type Eevee that has the 130 in HP and 110 in defense haha :D
QOTD: Not exactly what you asked, but I honestly think a Past Paradox Eevee would've been so funny. Like an Eevee that was the one that evolved from the regular one or something.
Everyone has been sleeping on Arboliva. It's been my Dondozo answer forever now. It really does good against a bunch of things. It has incredibly Sp.Atk and Sp.Def.
I think it'd be cool to see one team on the channel for a few episodes. Just to find all the intricacies and modes that terrastalization allows for that maybe you don't get to explore in the current format. It's been fun though, Gen 9 has got me excited for the future.
I think Umbreon getting trick room would be interesting as it is already pretty slow and bulky and is immune to flinch with inner focus. It would probably be too passive still though... I'd also give glaceon slush rush (this still might not make it fast enough to be super usable lol)
[QOTD] I would give all Eevee's a next stage evolution, adding the unused types to the best of their movepool or combination, hope someone like the ideas: Eevee -> Wyrneon [Normal] [Dragon] Flareon -> Souleon [Fire] [Fighting] Vaporeon -> Sireon [Water] [Ground] Jolteon -> Zhepeon [Electric] [Flying] Espeon -> Solareon [Psychic] [Rock] Umbreon -> Lunareon [Dark] [Poison] Glaceon -> Misteon [Ice] [Ghost] Leafeon -> Slasheon [Grass] [Bug] Sylveon -> Shyneon [Fairy] [Steel]
@@empresscarrie6230 X-Scissors, and I can't see another fit honestly... I imagined it going from Bulky Physical to Fast Frail like Leafany. Also imagine it with fake cicada wings and the face more to a silk moth or just a eye change and littles antenas on head
What a great set of games! It was fun to see such an unusual team. For QOTD if Flareon could somehow be able to get burned despite being a fire type that would be useful :)
This is one of the most diverse and enjoyable VGC formats I've ever seen. A part of me hopes they never allow legendaries and paradox pokemon to compete because I think things will become much more stale
At least, this has helped a lot of other Pokémon being explored before the others block everyone else. But the game did say they were menaces as they were, and not a single edge of that statement was false...
Let them have more coverage from other Eeveelutions' type, like learning Play Rough, or giving Flareon Wild Charge. Also, It's weird that Eevee have 2 normal abilities but its evolutions have just 1. Give them all another ability to experiment with. Fluffly Flareon, Rain Dance Vaporeon, Slush Rush Gleaceon, etc.
I fought a team that was almost the same as this except they had a sap sipper azumarill that they buffed with the arboliva. Surprised to see the same off-meta mons in a different team.
QotD: I'd give Umbreon Sucker Punch so it has surprise STAB pick-off potential, because no one expects a bulky support to move first. Love the Guts Flareon.
QOTD: Jolteon needs another special attack. As an electric type Overheat might be quite fitting. Leafeon needs a ground move, not sure we can justify high horsepower but even something like bulldoze would be welcome. Glaceon would probably want it's Special Defense swapped with it's speed, though I guess you could run it as a bad trick room pokemon.
I’ve always loved and wanted to watch VGC games but never found a youtuber/streamer I enjoyed. Thank you for appearing one day 🧎🏽 I get so excited everytime I see you post a video
@@empresscarrie6230 it’s not generic it just fits their theme as Pokémon. It’s any normal move we have normal physical moves? Terra Faccade boosted would be enough. Otherwise they wouldn’t have gives it to Alolan Golem
@@danielmidolo8992 I didn't say it was generic I said it was basic and would gentrify them into being largely the same, they need things to set each other apart not just lul normal turn into type and isn't even useful for half of em
Wait. Just looked up sharpness. Yall it boosts Behemoth blade. Zacian can’t get this as a second ability it just shouldn’t for all that is good! Absol should tho. Just like Kyogre shouldn’t get mega launcher, Zacian shouldn’t get sharpness!
