This so much applies to health professionals. So often we feel shy offering more of our services because we fear of being viewed as predatory sales people. A real mind set change that needs to happen ASAP

I think its great that Jay Abraham, who has made enough income to have retired long ago, continues to teach his concepts and his business ideology. Regardless of whether or not its "no shit" advice, Its something I find priceless and commendable. Thanks Jay.

Hi Nemisis99 - I hear you loud and clear. You apparently missed the most important piece though, and that is, if you want to get clients begin by offering tools, advice, knowledge they can use in their lives BEFORE they become your client. As another great man said ..."You can get anything in life that you want, provided you first help other people get what they want".

Interesting! The strategy of preeminence describes exactly the relationship a physician has to his/her patients! Exactly. As a physician, this is nothing new and it is surprising - or maybe not - to see this applied to business. Love it!

muenzerus1 It's not at all the relationship a physician has to his/her patients. It's the relationship a physician SHOULD have and not enough have this fully applied. I've gone to various physicians over the years and had maybe 50% of them convey a sense of caring that backed up Jay's philosophy. I even had one laughing and making jokes about me behind my back to his assistant (under his breath), literally as I was getting a treatment. I also saw a lack of caring while going to doctors with my brother as he was dying of cancer. Most were considerate, but some were clearly uncaring. To onsult with a client/patient and know they have maybe 2-3 months to live and not exhibit a more caring nature is appalling. Physicians are ultimately human beings like the rest of us and as such are just people more educated in a specific area. They aren't astronauts or physicists or plumbers or house cleaners who all have a relative importance in society. Your assumption that all physicians behave this way is VERY inaccurate, but I wish it were more true.

Great presentation. But sad at the same time. None of this stuff is rocket science, yet so few businesses get it. Much of this is deeply rooted in knowing your WHY? and living in it. A genuine, authentic care for others comes so naturally when you "get it" that you cannot proceed in business any other way. Everyone around you is affected positively by it and cannot help to be a champion. But it all starts with YOU. You must truly look inside or you will never be your best nor offer it.

Remind me of the c.a.r.E. business model, created by a businessman who had owned operated businesses for over 40 years. Does anyone know of this model, and who the author is and what the book is called? I cannot find it anywhere but it changed my life for the few days after I read it and tried out it's lessons.

alot of people confuse simple with easy...this is not as easy as it sounds...like losing weight...burn more calories than you consume...next time you go to a mall, take a look at the size of people and see if they get it!

Coach Cijaye; yeah, but why not deleting also the words, and mentalities giving rise to them, like "get it", "knowing your WHY?" -- all those things cannot but make things more complex in the minds of those who aren't "getting it". Seeing "your why" or "it" doesn't point at "care for people" -- let's forget everything BUT words like "care for people". "getting it" should be substituted by "caring" and "knowing your why" by "doing business with heart".

Can someone help me out here, just to make sure I have this correct. "I don't let my prospect learn less then they should about a certain subject. If doing so, would be a dis-service to them?" So another words, don't just show them the mechanics, give them tips along the way that will save them time and money?

Thanks Jay but no shit. You're basically telling us to respect our clients. Problem is, I can't execute my "fudiciary responsibility" when I CAN'T GET CLIENTS in the first place. Every single guru I see, they never talk about the most important thing, which is GETTING CLIENTS. Show me specific ways to get clients, thats all I care about right now.
