For the first question Kevin is right.... Why in the world would u be a better singer than beyonce than faster than Usain Bolt... Just because you're a better singer than her, don't mean you'll become as successful as her. You know how many people who are better singers than her in real life, and haven't done shit. Dear Tonight Show: you should do this in reverse. Give the audience little vote machines like from Who Wants to Be A Millionaire when they polled the audience. Then the audience members have to guess what Jimmy and/or the guest would rather do. If a majority of the audience guesses correctly for at least x many questions, they all win tickets for whatever movie the guest is promoting. (Also can I be a writer now pls? :P)

For all those confused as to why he ate the cricket: You really shouldn't be, like at all xD It's the obvious one that the audience would rather see him do, so he can't let his audience down by just holding some dirt lol.
