According to the DBD wiki, blocked generators freeze their progression until they cease being blocked, meaning a blocked generator is not affected by Ruin. Admittedly I didn't know this either so I've definitely run gen blocking effects with Ruin 😓
I wouldn't call it busted at all. Maybe over tuned but it's actually fine and should be a good perk. It definitely helps killers like Pig and Clown who lack map control or stable slowdown. If they wanna tweak it tbh idk what they could do. It's still extremely early before we really call something busted
I think grim embrace won't be a good perk for this killer, because survivors (good ones) will just go to print emps/reset. singularity is one of those killers who dont really get genrushed by survivors refusing to participate in other objectives due to how heavily will he punish them for it. singularity works best with gen regression because survivors' progress on gens gets reduced rather than paused which accumulates more pressure on them.
Ruin and Surv will tell you which gens to go to after grim embrace goes on cooldown, you can see that in the video. Makes it so you can immediately pressure the gens that were being worked on.
Pain Resonance applies its usual regression, and then once you walk 16 meters away from the hook, Grim Embrace blocks everything, stopping survivors from undoing the scourge hook regression.
@@JakeColbyy correct. However Pain Resonance activates ON HOOK, but Grim Embrace only activates AFTER hook AND walking 16 meters away. So Pain Resonance activates before any gens get blocked
I think the point of this Grim Embrace buff is it creates pressure without you having to tunnel. If you tunnel someone out and then lock the gens for 40 seconds in a 1v3, its just a win more button. You already have the pressure of 1v3, you don't need more.
@@Daventry85 a win more button is when you've already won/have everything you need to win, and you're just tacking something on to make it quicker. Survivors have second chance perks, yes but those are not the same as tunneling someone out nor are they win-more things. You're not getting much added value if you tunnel someone out before using Grim Embrace. This Grim Embrace change makes it so you can get pressure without tunneling. You still can tunnel, but then Grim Embrace is a bit of a wasted perk slot.
I think thats what they wanted the perk to do, but the unfortunate thing is that there is no downside to tunnel and then just get your 3 other stacks later. I think if a survivor dies you should not be able to use anymore stacks.
Yeah I know, but when they get unblocked they will be white do to the ruin and surv combo, telling you what gens WERE being worked on before they got blocked
What I always wonder is why killers powers are more of hindrance than helpful sometimes like with this guy wtf can’t you just shoot a survivor from your hand cannon to get a pod on them instead of wasting time aiming them from a dam camera and one detail stops me from playing that killer and it’s the same with all the rest of them as well like why tf does survivor see your box as pinhead before you do? And the chain is hard to control. Why?
because it makes a killer more interesting and skill-based. shooting people with pods with the arm cannon would be boring and uninteresting, having to scan with cameras is what gives him complexity and a high skill ceiling. pinhead's box being revealed to survivors is necessary, otherwise you would win every game because they could never solve it. thats why you also cant see it, cause you could constantly activate it without them having any counterplay. pinhead's chain being hard to control encourages you to place the pointer right on top of a survivor. why are you firing the chain from range? these killers are balanced around these conditions, they are given strength in other areas to make up for it. pinhead's chain hunt is very strong if it's not dealt with, singularity's pod spreading is forgiving and fast paced. this is just inherently how PVP games are designed. what you're wanting is kind of lame and skillless, and i mean no offense by that.
You're confusing hex ruin with corrupt intervention, corrupt intervention now stays up even when a survivor's down and killed its back to its old status pretty much
@@immunic since when did ruin deactivate when a Survivor was killed I never play with it I thought that only happened with corrupt intervention I thought ruined stayed up until the totem was cleansed
@@pokemaster1478 no it's not that I always thought ruin only deactivated when it was cleansed I don't play with it so I've never realized that and when I play against it and I realize that it's in play I normally go out and immediately take it down
