i'll remind everyone: the biggest thing to take with a grain of salt is the "two protagonist" thing, the leaker that leaked that wasn't midori, it was the other one who is notorious for being wrong and getting information from hearsay unlike the more reputable leaker
@@unicorntomboy9736 if you want trustworthy leaks, midori knew about persona 3 reload way ahead of time, head on the block just makes wild guesses or steals other peoples ideas and i can't ever recall a moment of them being correct unless its sheer luck
With the Semi-Open World thing, I think they could do a really good job if they kept the status quo formula in the "real world"/visual novel part of the game and instead make whatever the equivalent to the palaces/tv world/tartarus is open world instead.
I don't really want to have to play as two different protagonists in one playthrough because I like the idea that the mc is a self-insert for the player so I feel that the having two mc would break that idea, I would much prefer being able to choose the character at the start although I would not be opposed to having the other mc be a character in the story.
never understood the self-insert MC vibe. Not a fan of a mute, blank expression character. Anything writers have them reply with, often isn't what I'd say or do in a situation, i cant project to anything like that. I would rather have a fully voiced lead with their own personality and backstory instead.
@@HyouVizer Tbh, I never really understood why a series like Persona went the silent protag route. I normally don't mind silent protags at all as long as it works for the type of game. And to me, it never made sense for Persona given how crucial this non-linear social interaction system is to its identity. You sacrifice so much control over the mc's contribution to character and group dynamics in the linear story progression because of it; The result is always so awkward and immersion-breaking for me because of how little the mc can actively contribute to major story scenes and discussions. All while the other main characters keep referring to you as a reliable leader or the rock of the group.
Never thought I would play a longer game than Fallout and Persona 5/Royal. Until I played Infinite Wealth. Now that game Is MASSIVE! I would think a game like that would take as long to make as the Persona games, but I heard it was only 4 years to make
If there are two protagonists and they are twins one a girl and the other a boy as some leaker said it might be I'll be really pissed of if they don't make a social with each other where they can get tougher cause we know that persona has no problem with fucked up relation ships like between teacher and student.

What I'd do for the two protagonists is you can pick each one and just play as one of them from the beginning, while a second playthrough you'd pick the other. Then ultimately getting a final ending at the end. A bit basic maybe, but I'd rather that than swap back and forth personally.
I just hope with the two protagonist thing, they're not going to cut/shorten the gameplay time of each protagonist. Something like that happened to Mana Khemia and it suck, makes the game feels rushed
It's hard to imagine how the dual protagonist would work if you had to play as both at the same time. Cramming them all into one playthrough seems very messy when you consider a lot of other things that make up a Persona game. The most ideal way for me would be to give you the option to choose which protagonist you want to play for the entire game, where they have their own goals, specific companions, and obviously different social links. Both protagonists and their gang could later meet and even fight each other before eventually teaming up in the end. The best example for this would be Scarlet Nexus, but going in this direction is wayyy too much work for Persona considering how massive the content scope for these games are. Atlus is essentially giving you two games in one which i highly doubt they'll be that generous lol.
4:27 maybe you play as the protagonist and antagonist at the same time? Then later in the story the 2 parties have to team up to save the world from some bigger evil
oh and when they met and the confrotation happens... ends that the one you choose is the "protagonist" while the other is the "antagonist" of the story(like not good and evil but oposite sides)
first thing i thought of when hearing dual protaganists is something like kiryu & majima in yakuza 0. two characters that ultimately contributes to the plot but mainly plays in their own "main area" with some crossovers. that'd be pretty sick considering yakuza has a TON of fun minigames if they were to implement that too alongside their own social links stuff
I agree that the social interactions should have more of an impact on the story and not just granting you new abilities or benefits like in combat and dungeons. It annoyed me so much for no reason when I had Akechi’s confidant to 4 or 5 and then he walks into LeBlanc like “hey you look familiar you were the one that spoke up at the interview”. like sir… we played pool together and went to a jazz club🥺 just one of many examples in that game. I know the social interaction/confidant systems were more fleshed out in Royal than in the other games but it still felt incomplete. Same thing with romances. I wish it was more apparent there was a relationship other than the very few scenes where it’s allowed. like basic interactions, not cutscenes and whatnot. it was weird when the s/o found out we got drugged in royal and was like “oh nooooo that’s awful” like everyone else. Just hope the social and confidant systems feel more impactful outside of combat going forward
I mainly want to know what the main color and vibe of the game is, like 3 was blue and the menus were alright I guess...combat menu was themed around a revolver not sure about main menu Persona 4 was yellow and themed around a Tv even down the the combat menu being one of those Tv turn thingys Persona5 was...I'm not sure it kinda reminds me of a comic

I will never buy Atlus games until years later and half price with complete golden Royal or whatever version. Sick of them making fans double dip to get a full version. I know unpopular but, whatever. F Atlus/sega’s 🐂 💩.
I don't think that putting 2 playable protagonists in a persona game would be a great idea, players must focus on social skills and social links and this could be a little cumbersome. The time is limited and players may want to focus all their energy in one protagonist to complete most of the trials. I do agree that they could put both characters in the story but depends on who we choose to use, the other will be just a side character, just think at the pokémon games, you choose a character and often the other will be your rival/friend. I think this should be the right thing to do, if they put 2 playable protagonists in a restricted game like Persona, players may will find this a little too tricky and maybe even boring
The two protagonists angle makes me think they'd be rivals. So you'd have a central team that could split into two seperate camps depending on differing views.
If they do have a lot of DLC, I hope that all of it is paid. That may be controversial, but look at what happened with Final Fantasy XV. I really enjoyed the free events that were like holidays in the world and also had exclusive rewards, but they stopped being accessible after a few years and have been permanently lost.

No vanilla switch port, no royal edition instead a R/X version rebundle and dlc(you pay for the dlc if you have vanilla already or buy the ultimate edition separately) 1 year ish later. Possible ultimate edition on ps6 with the dlc included when the ps6 comes out. 30fps 600p on the steam handheld
I would like more persona fusion customization, more in depth shadow/demon negotiation, 3 separate endings (like a unique version of the alignment system from SMT)

I think a solo female protagonist is whay is needed in the next game, as a smart way to shake up the formula Also make them a canonical pansexual female protagonist too while you're at it for good measure
I think i prefer having only one character to play as tbh. I dont want to know how annoying it would be to have two main character with each there own team, social links, length of the game there's just to much all at once for me. I just dont want to play another 150 hour game. And thats if you skip all the extra Content. I just dont have the time. 😢
If we are indeed going to have two protagonists, one boy and the other a girl and I'm sure this is true because this leaker has never been wrong with Sega and Atlus leaks. Then this is the perfect way to introduce bisexual relationships into the series. A lot of fans have been asking for this since the series started and by that I mean since persona 5 because let's be honest 80% of persona fans started with 5
Doubt that would ever happen. It is only the western audience that wants that and Japan is heavily against gayness (rightly so). Atlus aint gonna infuriate their main audience in Japan so some weird western people can have their weird Yuri/ Yaoi fantasy come to life.
the problem with social links, it feels like they're each set in their own world. Anything you do in them doesn't directly affect the main story often. You just see their upgraded persona. So all that character development gained during them isn't showcased in main story cutscenes. P4G hunger arcana tho, it actually unlocks a different ending, I want more of that. While P5 locked usual JRPG features behind their social links, which I was not a fan of.
