Great video, Abs! Burnout is like an old friend of mine who saps all my energy as he mooches off my feelings and finances. Funnily enough, writing fantasy and playing with a child (my nephew) are already in my arsenal :-)
Abbey Abbey Abbey Abbey. I've realized over the last few months that there are medical procedures I look forward to so much (even though they involve shots) because I'm carving out time specifically for non-sleep rest. I get plenty of sleep, but there's something particular about waking rest that hits different. I have always thought, "TV is a waste of time. Video games are a false sense of productivity." Capitalism and a high dose of Enneagram three, I suppose. I'm still learning to be okay with this. I appreciate the reminder. ❤
Hi Abbey. Could you put all of your enneagram video in one playlist? It's hard to scroll down to the oldest enneafram videos. I find all of them useful. And I would like to binge all of it. I am a Type 5. So yeah we love having to absorb everything.
Your video made my whole freakin’ day better. I’m a 9 and I went and did some sit-ups after watching and now my whole mood has lifted and I feel energised. ❤thanks Abbey
As a type nine nothing stresses me out more than "active rest". Even when we rest we have to be active according to society. Yes rest is different for all types but please let me just close my eyes and listen to relaxing music for an hour while you jog or kickbox. Thanks!
A question for you (or any type 3) - what's the reason you wanted to make your parents proud? As in why is that your motivator? A sibling rivalry or sth similar? A certain way your parents acted towards you (wether good or bad, like did they show you love primarily when you did well) or sth else?
For me, when I received praise for my achievements, it made me feel SO valuable and worthy. My parents did not treat my siblings any differently than me. I just responded to praise and affirmation that way.
