I think the mural came out really cute. I actually love the tiny boat details and stuff. The only thing that I might have done different is to extend the darker mountain so that it doesn't stop at the box with the water pipes but make it come out from the other side of the box a bit. Just a little triangle of mountain in front of the bigger light green mountain. I love how you turned that box into a little shelf with the wooden top. It looks so much more finished this way. (also If you make the dog bedding a light blue it would look as if the ocean went on to the floor and the dogs are 'swimming in the ocean. I think that would be really cute as well)

Hi Erin! Professional animator and illustrator here! (This is my personal account and I haven't changed anything since I was 15, but I am I promise) I love your mural! I think it's adorable and it reminds me of those very simplistic children's book illustrations. I only have two comments, but otherwise I think it's perfect. 1. The orange of the sun is very vibrant and saturated compared to every other color, so I would've personally cut it with white 2. The sponge technique is great and I use it myself whenever I paint clouds! If you want your clouds to show up better, you can dip your sponge in white paint, then they'll be more vibrant than removing the paint with water! I wouldn't recommend going back as it's still very good as is, but I just wanted to let you know that you're being too hard on yourself! If I saw a picture of your mural on Pinterest and the caption said it was done by a professional painter, I probably wouldn't even think twice about it. It's adorable and I love it!

Maybe if you rescue some foam from cushions from a second-hand armchair or couch, you could put a blanket or fitted sheet over top to make it a giant bed. ❤️
