I love how on RU-vid there's Matthias Krantz, an engineer who ended up getting into piano, and Joel Creates, a pianist who ended up getting into engineering. *And both built pianos that are electrified in horrifying ways*
Amazing that you commented on this video and Amazing that Joel vill ha lite fika med dig 😀 This would be a really amazing collab. Also: I want this piano
[piano being played frantically, intermittent electrical zaps] "Pauling here. Spy's teaching me piano. Apparently, it takes a person...ugh, seven years to learn, but Spy says that with electroshock he can teach me in an hour." [grunts of pain and electrical shocks] [Spy: Again.; piano plays a slow melody] "Huh. Okay, that's done. Here's a contract."
I'm actually really curious if you could also implement a system where not pressing the right key was punished, rather than simply punishing pressing the wrong one. Like, if I don't think I'll hit the right key, I could just, not hit anything. 10/10 music player because no wrong notes..... No right notes either, but your system doesn't seem to punish that :P
My music teacher taught me that air notes are infinitely better than wrong notes, recognizing that you're going to make a mistake before you make it is valuable even if you don't have time to correct it.
@@Leadvest that's fair, from a learning perspective that is probably much better. I was more saying that cause I noticed there would be no circuit loop for the shock to travel through unless you touched a key
@@Zhisaoka I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean, but as I mentioned in the other reply I left, the way it works is by passing the shock through the key itself. If you don't touch anything it physically can't shock you, given the current setup. Rhythm or not, no key means no shock
God I need one right now. I don’t even play piano, but because it shows on the computer what to play, this looks like a great experience to play with friends.
@@user-gl1ls1jx3h Actually, reporting should be fine. This has happened to quite a few channels that I watch. Everyone reported the videos, the channel was temporarily terminated, and then it goes back to normal a few days later.
for challenge mode, instead of them creating the notes and you playing back what they played, they must be able to play back what they recorded to make the challenge meaningful.
8:50 AchShuALLy, this is positive reinforcement. Positive doesn't mean good, it means added. Negative reinforcement means something is taken away. Punishment and reward are the terms to disambiguate whether the stimulus is desirable or not (or more accurately, whether the reinforcement is intended to encourage or discourage the behavior.)
I kinda love this idea problem is I mess up everything I play in my videos, I have been working on a tune for around 2 years now and still not getting clean notes so the term try and try again really true on this keyboard. It's unlikly you can play the whole tune without being effected by the shocks so any mistakes you make you have to start again until you get it right. OK I would have it on 1 nearly all of the time :D but this is something I would buy to improve my playing
Great idea but notes is only half of playing the piano you also have to play louder or softer or deeper. So you could have it also record the volume of the sound and require you to play to at that level of sound
Pretty sure Joel is gonna have to install some better locks on his house, actually. Micheal is either gonna try to steal the taser piano or go all goblin mode about Joel stealin his shtick.
