This really hurts... 💔 Oshi No Ko Episode 6 REACTION/REVIEW! 

In memory of Hana Kimura, a victim of cyberbullying, I heard this episode was based off of the events which resulted in her losing her life. one of many... also this can happen to anyone.. celebrities, content creators, friends, family. WORDS can damage. The cruel reality is it is easy to fall victim of cyberbullying because people can hide behind usernames. It is sick. This episode was hard to watch because many fall victim and feel lost, and hurt. You can only break a person down so much before they give up. Please remember your words can hurt people. On a daily I get sent hateful things. It is sad but the truth that one negative horrible comment can do more damage even if you receive 100 positive ones. Just remember we all have a life, we all have feelings.

What makes Oshi no Ko so good is how much it brings a lot of realistic moments and feelings towards how people are IRL, Akane didn't deserve all of this hate, really feel bad for her 💔💔💔

This episode is a dedication to Hana Kimura. She was a female professional wrestler who had committed suicide due to the harassment online after she slapped the hat off of someone in a TV reality show, Terrace House. A show where six people live together to find love. It’s a similar case that happened months before the chapter for this episode in the manga was released. Unfortunately no one was there to save her. The comments we see in this episode are actually taken word for word in Twitter from the cyber bullying Hana received. This is an excerpt from an article that talked about how the incident was staged: "Producers wanted Hana to act violently towards Kobayashi, and told her to slap him. She refused and settled on knocking off the hat instead. She told her family and friends she wanted to be a professional on TV, but producers wanted her to be obnoxious and play up a heel character to help the ratings. Kobayashi has since confirmed that the moment was staged." This ultimately led to Japan passing a bill that makes cyber bullying punishable by up to a year in prison or a fine of $2500. After me warching this episode, I almost shattered with tears because this is so true to those who made a mistake.

I'm happy they included a helpline, throughout this episode my heart ached and I near cried. It shows reality this episode, and unlike this episode people don't have an Aqua to watch over them or save them last minute, so they disappear silently alone. People should know even if the world seems like it against them, you are never alone.

I really love your message at the end, as someone who grew being verbally abused by my parents and then got bullied during high school, yes words matter. and I thank those who know how important words are. words can hurt and there are times that they can kill.

Oh man this episode was hard to watch seeing Akane go through the hate and see her mental health deteriorate. It’s good lesson to always treat people with respect and choose your words correctly because you never know what the other person might be going through. Glad Aqua was there in the end.

Cyberbullying is absolutely ruthless, the veiled anonymity of the internet makes people feel like they can get away with insulting someone they don’t even know personally without consequences. I see now why manga readers were hyping up Akane

It’s so sad to see how mean other people can get, especially when they can just hide who they are. It’s awful to just break someone down like that. No one deserves to be piled on like that over things that don’t even really matter. It’s one of the reasons why I use my face when I comment. Because I try and treat everyone online the same way I do in person, with kindness and sincerity. I would never tell anyone online the things they said to her in this episode. The crazy part is that this happens all the time.

The things that make Akane such a likable character are what made her an easy target for the keyboard commando dipshits. She's sweet, timid, a bit unsure of herself, and she wants everyone to be happy. Sadly, not everyone who feels like Akane has a Aqua.

Oshi No Ko really showing the darkreality of the internet. Not just showing it but explaning it in such a upfront way, really putting it all on the table. People think noting of the comment they make, without knowing how hurtfull their words can be.

This show is completely wild. I was SHOCKED the whole time watching this episode, I'd never think it would go into this topic let alone show it in so much detail. These comments seemed so exaggerated and hyperbolized that I found it comical for a sec, but moments after it hit me that it's as realistic as it gets, it's just that I have never been at the receiving end so I don't know how accurate it is. And then there's Hana Kimura's story and the fact that some of these comments were taken word for word from the drama she was involved in made me lose faith in humanity a little

Story telling 101: if a character is suddenly getting infodump backstory something tragic is about to happen to them.

I find it really interesting that Yukipon says "They aren't filming so Im obviously not lying" or something to that effect. Because in breaking the fourth wall like that, it guarantees that if footage were to be taken, it probably can't be used, which begs the question is she trying to protect Akane and have a positive moment with her in private, or is she trying to ensure the end product is dramatic and that the apology is unusable. We never really get a confirmation as to who Yukipon really is and I REALLY like that about this episode.
