I’m beyond excited that my favourite puzzle-solving gentleman is going to be getting a brand new game, so I tried to pay tribute to all the previous instalments of the Layton series in a big, background-heavy piece that took me way longer to put together than I thought it would 😅
I’m still buried under secret project work this month, so no voiceover today! Thank y’all for understanding and I hope you can still have a nice relaxing time with this one ☕🫖💖

One thing that immediately stood out to me with this video was the pre-speedpaint presentation, the turning gears and steam were really nice to look at. I have not played a single Professor Layton game, but I've sort of been interested over the years, and I really enjoyed seeing this art come together. Especially with the background music, that was really nice to listen to. Also, that little animation with Lief on the endslate is adorable and I love it.

When I saw all the references in the background I was immediately blown away. The mysterious tower from Curious Village, the Molentary Express from Diabolical Box, The big clock from Unwound Future, The Spectre from Spectre's Call, the Mask of Chaos from Miracle Mask, and the Bostonius from Azran Legacy... It all looks absolutely gorgeous in your style

AAAAHHHHHHHHH IM SO HAPPY!!! I DIDNT EVEN KNOW YOU PLAYED PROFESSOR LAYTON!!!! Oh my god this is the best thing I could have seen today!!!! I’m going to cry!!!! Edit: listen I know a gentleman isn’t supposed to cry BUT IM NOT A GENTLEMAN YET! 😭 this game was such an important part of my childhood! All my save files are fixed at my favorite points and one is is always fully completed with every extra unlocked and every puzzle solved. When the announcement came out I bawled and told anyone and everyone. I’m so happy to know others remember this game as fondly as I do! I’ll see all of you puzzle solvers in the new game!!!

I'm not exaggerating when i say i felt so giddy and ecstatic when i saw this new video pop up in my notifs!!!! I love the games, its been a huge part of my creative and artistic development, from the influence it has in my love for steampunk aesthetics, to my deeper love for puzzles and stories! Ive just finished binge watching a playthrough of the first game and I have to say, *IT WAS AMAZING* the characters are so fleshed out and alive and each turn in plot were never expected to me! The team did so well with all aspects of the game and I cant wait to see more!
