ND resident here. Burgum has been an outstanding governor and has pushed energy and agriculture production hard and it’s payed off in spades for ND. He has a strong business background and started a tech company. That being said, we need him as energy secretary more than VP. Inflation is a top three issue, nothing will bring prices down faster than strong energy production. That will take someone who gets it done.

I've been leaning towards thinking that Burgum might be picked because he has lots of experience with the oil industry in ND. Trump would have him turn the taps on and get those spigots flowing.
