Probably it only translates a third of the ad text bc it’s partly in french, german and english (german, french and luxemburgish are the official languages in Luxembourg). I grew up in a german village only a few kilometers from the town where this dealership is located - as you mentioned Luxembourg is an incredibly wealthy country (many Germans, French and Belgians are working there because the salaries are much better) and it has a super active and dynamic Saab enthusiast community with incredible cars (even more impressive when taking into account how small the country is). From what I experienced with this community I can tell that the share of VERY wealthy people in it is probably the highest of any national Saab communities… and in general Luxembourg people put a lot of emphasis on distinguishing through their car taste and what they consume in general. So I‘m quite sure that there could be an enthusiast on the local market willing to pay that price just for the sake of owning a somewhat „unicorn“ … maybe a bit less, but I don’t think the dealer just made this price up just as a joke or sth like that, but offers it with the crazy luxembourgish Saab community in mind. (Btw the 9-5 NG they offered is sold meanwhile … I bet they asked crazy price for that on too 😉)

Wow, thanks for the clarification there! Hopefully it’s not a joke, but idk…
@s.hutzel7617
@s.hutzel7617 10 месяцев назад
… ya, totally get your point 😅 … it’s not too unlikely since this price is extraordinarily out of range … I‘m kinda tempted to just give them a call and ask what it’s about but I guess that’s what some ppl from the community already did ^^

I live near this dealer and I often see this car on multiple secondhand car sites, it's been online for at least a couple months because I sent a screenshot to my friend in july/august I believe. Also looks like the price isn't really the asking price, i've seen it listed for €100.000, €123.456 and stuff like that... still a nice car tho

I sold my Saab 9-3 2006 that had 95000 kilometres with €5000 last year. The reason I sold it so cheap is that many things started to break. I spent €2000 here and €1000 there. Plus I spent €150 per mont h for the parking place in a city. I think I might've made a mistake but my Saab 9-3- 2006 was costing me A LOT. (The problems with the car also raised my insurance costs a lot.) The 9-3 Convertibles are quite cheap here in Finland - as they were all made here in Finland. I would absolutely own a Saab 900 1987-1992 again but it's almost impossible here in Europe at leas for a daily driver. It wouldn't pass the exhaust gas test that is done yearly. In Europe you can't just buy and drive old cars. If I would register on older Saab as a 'museum car', I wouldn't be able to drive it.

What kind of Saab did you have? I have a Saab 9-3 2.0 t aero, 2006 since 1 year (5000 km drive since then, 130'000 km on the tacho) and it was well maintained from the previous owner and runs fine so far. I hope I don't have to change my opinion soon 😊

I had the first Model Year (Late 2003) 9-3 Sedan from 2017 to this spring, when I chose to swap it because it started having issues, just like yours. However, I swapped to a 1998 Saab 9000! OK, it has some issues, too, but I hadn't gone more than 163,000 Km when I bought it. So low a milage is almost impossible in a 9000. The 9-3 isn't a bad car as such, but (to me), a 9000 is THE Saab, one of the best long-distance tourers. I've had the engine mounts replaced, swapped some no-name alloys with all-year tires to steel rims (last original new set in Europe) with winter tires. In the spring I'll get some Saab alloys with good summer tires. The cabin heater leaked, so that was changed a month ago (the last one at the spare parts dealer). I also got a cruise control refitted. Next year it will get a little rust work done (not that much) and get an undercarriage treatment. It also need front fog lamps. And. If I can find a decent set, I'd like to get leather seats, too. Luckily, brakes and exhaust are quite new, so I don't have to worry about that for some time. There are some other minor issues. It looks like I have to replace the antenna cable (sigh!) because the signal is bad, and the lamp in the boot doesn't seem to work. But that's about it at the moment. Oh, and one of the head lamp viper motor's doesn't work and should be replaced sooner or later.

The wheels, grill, front lip, rear diffuser, could all be picked up for less than £3500 A fully rebuilt, and uprated v6 manual engine, HD clutch, and reconditioned 6speed manual box, another £2500. A hirsch leather dashboard, hirsch flat bottomed steering wheel, hirsch big brake upgrade to 345mm discs, another, £2500. A decent one owner manual v6 2011 convertible, £6000 Thats only £15,000 And would be a superior car.

Y'all crazy with those american prices even with that 100k car from luxemburg, i mean, I bought my 2004 Arc with 180000km just for 500 euros. I know it's crazy cheap for that car, but even the second hand market here in Spain has saab convertibles from 3000 for the least optioned ones to 8000 for the most wanted v6 manuals
@thackerybrown2860
@thackerybrown2860 10 месяцев назад
180000 kms is a big difference from the 5-20000kms examples he just reviewed. Also, a typical saab 9-3 is probably $3000-6000 USD depending on all the details. That being said, I am shocked how cheap Saabs tend to be overseas based on the forums - people in the UK seem to be scrapping them like used soda cans 😞

Seen the car I believe 40 to 50 is more reasonable given the value of it. Saab prices are wild I've gotten 6 speed v6 aeros for 800 or 3k. There is also a turbo x out there automatic for 4.5k so 🙃 go figure lol
@nedlerswedlers19
@nedlerswedlers19 10 месяцев назад
@@Lamster66 yeah you got a point sad to say but discontinued cars shouldn't bring that much value. Perhaps someone Saw the Saab logo and thought it was like a Porsche or something exotic and priced It that way. Which don't get me wrong here in the States Saab is a rarity just not an expensive one. No more than 15 or 10k is fair for sure. It's not even a Carlsson or anything rare.

It’s beautiful, but I’m surprised the body was modified and not the performance? Then again, I don’t know much about what’s possible for 9-3s of this MY. It does look like the last ones produced and special editions are getting pricey. For this one here and from where I am in MA, I’ll give you $9,393.93 for it! (Hmm, I see what they did there…🤔) Just saw a woman driving a yellow NG the other day, and we waved to each other. My true blue, or rather frost grey, ‘99 OG cv 5spd w/MapTun S2 is more fun, though.

No V6? Automatic?? Without the V6, a manual like this would likely only get $20k on CarsNBids here in the US, and even less in most of EU. If it were the same in 09 V6, it might get up to $35k on CarsNBids, if it were a manual shift. Clearly clickbait. Nonetheless I would certainly welcome it into my stable if it wandered into my yard. there is also the problem with "ordinary" cars with low mileage , i have an 1993 Saab 900 2.1 4-door which has only 8K miles on it, full 100% original with ALL factory extras and car is like new,no rust anywhere.I`ve been storing that car for 25 years now, in last 25 years in warm carage i have drove it for like 100 miles, few times per year. Now , if i would sell it, how would i price that car ? A:nobody is interested about 4-door sedans B:how do you price cars you propably have only few left in world, even if car is just bland average model ?
