y'all need to listen to this - I'm 48 hours removed from doing this recipe and it was GREAT! This is my 4th Lamb Saag youtube receipe, but this was the best. I even messed up by adding too much water, and I didn't allow it to reduce (the bhunning process as she calls it) at the 7min mark. But man it crushed, even my picky American-ized children liked it. (I'm Indian btw) Honestly I was a little dubious of putting the meat in w/ the onion BEFORE the dry spices, I always cooked down the onions and the cooked out the dry spices BEFORE adding the meat - but this step does work. The meat has enough time to absorb the flavors which I have always struggled with.
This is one of my favourite dishes, I grew up eating this as my mum cooked this regularly, a family favourite. I'm cooking this today for the 3rd time in 6 months following this recipe, it always comes out like it should. I'm pairing it with chicken palou and yogurt raita, delicious. Thanks for the step by step instructions and classic pakistani recipe
I made this in the slow cooker (as I was a bit time poor) and it was absolutely incredible! I added a little more chilli as my husband is South African so is used to a bit of a spice kick. He loved it and I’ve added to our monthly menu on a weekend. Thank you for sharing ❤
I have cooked this tonight and it was just so great a taste. Following your recipes for a few different curries and have never had a bad one. The other curry which is really great is the chicken liver one, it so nice to have a recipe that uses chicken livers.
Wow.....no wonder we could never get a curry to taste right......the way you explain everything is superb,a symphony of colour and finite detail, it's a work of art.Thank you❤
Another one of your recipes that I've made....and honestly it was delicious..... a real hit with the family! I absolutely love the step by steps in your videos..... And the commentary during your taste test..... 👌 spot on!!! Keep em coming girl x
All I can say is WOW!! Cooked this for dinner this evening and it was absolutely delicious. I first had Palak Lamb in Southall at the Brilliant and never found anything to compare until now. Thanks a million

Awesome I have literally cooked along. My spinach is currently wilting - I'm so excited for it to finish. I didn't have spinach but I'm using home-grown Chard. I diced up the stems and threw them in with the second bhuna of the meat. Oh and don't forget the Bismillah before eating 💚🙏🏽

Hi Shamsa, love the video thank you. I have subscribed and notified. I love palak ghost and have had it at several Asian weddings I was invited to. I notice you don’t use any jeera in your recipes, is there any reason for that?
Thank you for your comment, and please do subscribe - keep watching and please do share my videos to your friends and families, so I can grow the channel. :)
I've followed this recipe three times now. The first two exactly per the recipe, but tonight I subbed the lamb for tandoori chicken. Hmm, all of them so good but I particularly loved the chicken version.
Looks fantastic Shamza, I will defo be giving this a go. Do you think pureeing the spinach is essential or would you achieve the same flavours if the cooked spinach was drained and then chopped, so it's a bit more leafy?
Honestly, it's all about how you like it. This is how I prefer mine as I don't like it stringy but if you want to do it the way you stated it's fine, the end product will still taste amazing.
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes yep, i've made it twice now, fantastic. We moved to Cairns in Australia last year, sadly a good curry is hard to find out here, so you've really come to the rescue! Struggling to get a few ingredients, but still tastes good substituting funugreek leaves for powder and the special chilli powder you use, I just used a nice paprika.

Just tried this last night and it was soooo good! I couldn’t find the right chili powder so I got what I thought was an appropriate substitute (but was not) so mine turned out to be a bit more spicy than expected but was still good nonetheless 😂 so happy I found this!! I’ve tried making lamb saag a couple of times but they never turned out this good.
Your cooking is so easy to follow I have done several your recipes by following as a Indian women who is learning new recipes each day thank you - keep enjoying and sharing your wonderful dishes!! PS can we do this with Pork instead of lamb? I recall my mom used ?
So true! You definitely need more subscribers because your content is really top class. You started in 2017, which has been good 5 years and your channel hasn’t grew that much, what can be the reason? I’m finding difficult to understand. I hope it does, my best wishes are with you.
I took some time out after I opened my channel as I had a baby so wasn't making videos for quite some time. Slowly but surely we will get there. Please share with your family and friends 😊👍
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes alright, good to know. I always like to give credits to my you tubers, whose recipe i have followed and made something i share the links on my Facebook and WhatsApp.
