It's rubbish, they were friends from Northern Ireland. Male couples on this show, and there were a lot, were just mates down the pub etc. The guy from Northern Ireland was just painfully shy and Jim was inappropriate by asking if he was 'tampering' with a young lady. 1982 different times @@Pidcaso
