It took me a minute to figure out what you were trying to accomplish, but those shelves came out looking nice. Even stacked up with each other. Great video, great set up. I do wanna see your finished shelves though.

I’ve used an L fence for many years. But I’ve never used it as you showed; something for the memory. Another great video. I think what sets you apart is your ability to deliver a message in a logical, concise way that is easily understandable for most.

Hello, i'm Linda from Belgium. I wanted to thank you for your L-fence tip. I use it almost every day! Now i had to miter my pieces for a knifeblock. I always found a 45 cut very scary. Not any more! I cut a scraps to the width of the inside the knifeblock and use it to cut the miters! Awsome!

Good demo. A thought: if you made the cap of the "tee" on the L-fence the right width and positioned it properly, it seems you could clamp the L-fence at the right height for two oft-used wood thicknesses without using the 1/2" shim. This would be especially useful if you tend to make projects with only one or two thicknesses.

So I surfed up "L-fence" to see what you saw for this idea. I came across a video about an L-fence made by Van Dyke. Awesome looking fence. Not sure how long it took him to make it but I'm sure it was longer than yours took. His materials list was way longer than yours. Yours looks practical, simple, effective, and not so costly to make. I'll go with yours. Thanks as usual.

I have watched a few videos on using a L-Fence but they never actually made anything with one and I didn't make the clear connection of the benefit of using one. This video cleared that up really well. You take the time to set up your camera to make it very clear as to what is going on each step of the way. Thank you!
