His wife was messing around behind his back. Then she took the kids to go live with the man she cheated with. Think that won't cause no psychological issues to the children? It does. Especially when the father was raising them while she was fooling around. Then bring them back to the same city where they biological father is & start this nasty custody battle for months. Although she already made her child a statistic by being a single mother. The daughter was the product of an environment the mother created. The mother ruined the family household by not practicing what she preach. Stability, morals & strong family structure.

What makes it even worse is that after Daniel was killed by the daughter, that cheater addressed this issue during one of her campaigns and blamed it on Daniel that he was an abuser and abused the daughter so she took the drastic step. In fact went on to say her daughter is the actual victim here. How low some people can stoop is just unimaginable.

Update: District Judge Tierra Jones sentenced Sierra and Guerrero to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 22 years. The defendants also were ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution. The two defendants pleaded guilty to all the counts they faced: murder with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit murder, arson, robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery and four counts of fraudulent use of a credit or debit card.

THIS WAS ON THE NEWS. They barely scratched the surface on this story. Showing the video, saying that the young girl and bf stabbed her father over 70 times. Anchors said their thoughts and condolences, then moved on to the next segment. I had no idea the background to this story was this… extensive. This makes me so very worried to the extent any human can fall into depravity despite a humble beginning. I pray that Daniel’s soul is able to find peace despite how much loss and betrayal he faced within his life. The world lost a magnificent soul that deserved nothing but love and comfort

Remember, we are hearing Mr. Ballen's story, and while he is an incredible story teller, he has to fill in gaps to make it interesting. We have no idea what Daniel was actually like behind closed doors. We have no idea why his second marriage fell apart or why his first wife seemed to have such distain for him. Nothing justifies the end result, but I'm willing to bet (not claiming any proof, just a guess) there's a lot more to this. Tragic either way though. Just food for thought.

I wouldn't be surprised if the mom completely poisoned the kids picture of Daniel, my uncle didn't get to see his kids til their 20s and they had an absolutely warped view of him because the mom had serious substance abuse issues and was a massive whacko Odd that she would stay with him regularly, idk that the hell would spark this besides just rabid teenage insane love haha, maybe the ongoing issues she needed help for mentioned in the custody court case aggravated this

Daniel was a good friend of mine since Western Oregon University together back in 96. We lost touch through Covid and this video was how I learned of his passing. This was an amazing man and father, and he reminded me so much in critical moments of my own life to remain a good human and that I mattered. Can't say enough good things about this man. I have to admit. Of all the Mr Ballen’s this one was maybe the most heartbreaking. As a father, I cannot even fathom my daughter doing this to me, and I am sure he couldn’t either. As a man, I was sick to my stomach hearing how his ex wife put him through the ringer and had him live out the rest of his life being registered as a sex offender. As a human being, I cannot comprehend how special this guy must have been to- through all of that- maintain a positive outlook and try to raise others up despite everyone around him trying to tear him down. He told one just like this before. Even this father's DAUGHTER had MENTAL HEALTH issues as well. There was also a custody battle in which the TEEN RAN AWAY to live with him too. Wow I'm just thinking about the similarities. This teen however murdered her father. Moved her friends in and threw a big party. The roommates had found her dad in like the shack outside where she forbid them to go. Curiosity won out. I believe they called the cops right away. Their roommate who killed the dad was with her mom that she ran away from. If I can remember the mom defended that little pos daughter. The dad was the one who tried so hard to do everything for her. ...just like here. I was so angry listening to this one. I was hollering at the phone.

I can so relate. I was an orphan and abused in the 'system' (group homes), I have never known a home really. I was in hospital for three years (7 months in intensive care) in my 20's, I am disabled, and in March of this year I lost my Husband of 33 years, then 2 weeks later my Cat... I'd say I was due for some good luck if I believed in it anymore . . . Now I am alone forever (there are people like these kids out there, not a good time to be making new 'friends') ...

In other words what does just looks have to do with it, even though we like it. The devil was behind this entire thing. First of all his wife should never left him with the children in the first place even though some of you may not agree with this in these modern days. Did she do this job just to get away from him and the children, but it really doesn’t matter, he should had never went along with it. At the sentencing in October 2022, Sierra offered no apology, while Guerrero did. Both teens pleaded guilty to murder and were sentenced to life with the possibility of parole after 22 years. Imagine having no remorse after killing your own loving father while the other guy actually apologized.

Wait, so let me get this straight... Elizabeth cheated on and lied to Daniel about it after he supported her like crazy, then they fight after he confronts her for cheating on him, which then results in him getting probation and a sex offender status after a false claim without any evidence, which then in turn makes him lose the custody battle after the divorce. It does represent the state of America (and most progressive/western cultures). We absolutely worship women here. They are beyond adored and venerated. They can do no wrong legally. People will whine and cry for years about ways women are "oppressed" like feeling unsafe when a man whistles at them, when in reality women have all the same rights men have + indescribable special privileges (in particular lessened or no convictions for committing the same crime as a man because our entire society is filled to the brim with white-knight men and man-hating women.) Every attempt to change our absurd legal laws has been met with "But what about the WOMEN!? We have to protect them!" and virtually all women as a collective + their white knight enablers all band together, agree, and then do something like decide a divorced man owes 250% of his income per month in child support to his ex wife (please think about the math on that for a moment.)

@@bakedinthekitchen92 yes it does. Western legal systems favour women in a sickening unjustified level. The total abandonment of men is leading to them being undermined, persecuted and ultimately suicide due to the lack of support.

They must have had their collective heads in the sand to have ever thought actress Asia Argento would be a good choice in leading the charge who was embroiled in her own SA scandal some years before. But the notion that we need to "believe women" - some or all and to suggest women should not be treated the same as men because not believing is damaging (and has resulted in legal changes in many cases where now only a "preponderance of evidence" as opposed to evidence beyond a reasonable doubt is needed in order to prove an allegation of s**ual misconduct) only promotes a patronizing view of women as child-like figures who always speak the truth and must be protected from scrutiny. It's bad for women's equality and is bad for justice.

This is one of the saddest stories I’ve heard on Mr. Ballen’s channel. That girl is going to realize, after her boyfriend stops writing to her, young “love” usually isn’t real. Just a flash in the pan. Her dad would’ve loved and protected her forever. So heartbreaking. Rest In Peace, Daniel. ❤️

Daniel was such an angel that none of them deserved... especially his youngest daughter. I'm so disgusted and angry how someone can be that careless, evil, and insensitive to someone, especially someone who has loved you unconditionally since you were born. I can't believe this. I have no empathy for Sierra or her boyfriend. I hope they regret everyday what they did. May Daniel Rest in Peace. He was the father every child would love to have.

I lost my daddy in a plane crash (his plane) when I was 7 and it changed my life for the worse for a long long time, still even today I am sure I am affected by that loss. She is evil, I am also so disgusted and angry seeing this makes me feel sick inside. I also have no empathy for Sierra or her boyfriend at all. I also pray Daniel (what a beautiful name) is resting in peace as well.

True, but it was Daniel's fault too to become such an easy target. Part of being a human being let alone a man is to yes be an angel but also to be a protector. Sort of like a guardian angel. Which Daniel failed multiple times in his life. He should had never let his wife accuse him of sexual conduct to begin with.

@@JVBL1 I don't think he was an easy target... he was doing his own thing and living with his daughter in which he thought loved him, how would he have known? I'd see if there were signs, but clearly there weren't for him. He didn't fail at that either, he literally protected his family as much as he could, AND he could defend himself all he wanted yet he still got accused of it so it's not that he simply let his wife accuse him of sexual conduct lol, no one just "lets" someone do it. I'm sure he fought to speak his truth, yet she won that battle. No matter how much you defend yourself you don't always win and in that case that's what happened with Daniel. So no, he didn't "let" her do that.

@@seanking1775 shit, really? i've not see anyone make the claim that it's "never," only that they're telling the truth the majority of the time -- specifically because statistically it's less than 2% of claims of abuse/assault by women are false, and even when they are they're usually a cry for help regarding another issue and it's the only way they can get someone to investigate what's going on in their life -- but if anyone has actually said it's literally never a lie, then that's definitely not true. unfortunately, a small amount of women throw all others under the bus in terms of suspicion by making false accusations.
