I read this comment just before the video started and thought wait a minion outfit what's going to happen in this video but then it started and I think I've seen his in my nightmares
After watching moistcritical try to attempt the elden ring zip speedrun last night for hours making barely any progress, it is definitely 100% skill nailing 13 frame perfect zips in under 7 minutes. Definitely not something anyone can do in just a single day of practicing.
@@rygriff4688 it is kind of boring to watch something just fly across and skip everything, I'd be more impressed with a end warp than just zipping around
Distortion2 also has a video up of him beating malenia, rune level 1, with no cheese or cheating. I find it so strange that people think he isn't one of the most skilled people playing this game, with or without glitches. He literally streamed 12-16 hour days for weeks to master zipping. And that's with perfect conditions and as one of the best souls speedrunners.
It's always funny watching his videos and seeing people calling him bad and "just exploiting the game, it takes no skill" the guy literally has thousands of hours in the souls series and probably 500+ hours in Elden ring alone. People are just jealous they're terrible and can't beat the game even with a cheese build
Yeah they are just stupid. You see him just walk while blocking and think to yourself it's easy. Those saying "no skill" wouldn't be able to get a single zip after practicing for hours. And the fact he does these frame perfect and double frame perfect zips in the span of 7 minutes is insanity.
nah the Jar head with the name "let me solo her" are the greatest enemy of Malenia. he helped hundreds of players by beating her non stop, that is a true champion of the people
I really want to see Lud play celeste. the movement is easy to learn, and I think he would have a lot of fun with it. Speedrunning it would be even better.
@@Kai-ez1gf Similar difficulty curve as jump king? Well okay i havent beaten jumpking but if you just do the story in celeste the difficulty is extremely gradual imo. In jumpking you are instantly thrown into doing the same tech as advanced players, just failing miserably at it. Not saying that getting 100% in Celeste is easy I'm just saying the way the difficulty ramps is not even comparable. Sorry if I seemed annoyed or annoying, I agree that it would be amazing to see Ludwig play Celeste lol
@@Kai-ez1gf lol idk about that if you fuck up once in jump king youre dead and lose so much time and all your dignity if you fuck up in celeste you lose maybe 5 seconds and a bit of dignity
I remember watching "Devs reacts to Speedruns" video and there was one level in the game where the Speedrunner beat the whole Level in Seconds and one Dev. said something like : *" WE MADE THAT LEVEL IN 5 MONTHS !?"* and you can just hear the Pain in his voice lol
One of the coolest things about set seed MC is probably the seed itself. Infinite seeds and people find ones they can exploit in just the right way to get sub 2 minutes, that's insane. The preparation is so cool, to find a seed not only with that portal glitch and a village spawn, but the correct recourses available to go super fast.
For those wanting a further explanation on how Distortion's able to beat the Elden Beast easily from Godfrey's arena: As he said, Elden Beast and Radagon are already loaded in when the Godfrey fight starts. By zipping far enough away from the Arena, he manages to cause it to unload so while he's falling, Elden Beast and Radagon are all falling to their death (along with Godfrey too for phase 1). When you're falling you have 13 seconds before the game kills you but when you swing your sword while falling it resets that 13 second timer. Distortion does this just before the timer ends so that Elden Beast will fall for longer, so that way when the game eventually kills him and sends him to Godfrey phase 2 the Elden Beast will have fallen to it's death just as Godfrey finishes his grab attack and kills you. Also, Radagon is falling a bit ahead of Elden Beast, but the game only requires Elden Beast to die to allow you to access the ending, meaning you can finish the game even if Radagon isn't killed yet, only the Elden Beast
@@glioblastome since elden beast died and he got the "God Slain" notification pop up right before he died, the game teleported him there since that's what automatically happens when you kill it
honestly the coolest thing ive seen is the speedrun for beating every single dark souls, bloodborne, sekiro, etc all in a row without getting hit once, now that shit was fucking crazy
@@jamescordenofficialaccount Yep or it is just taste for something i like .It is quite preposterous to believe that if you like orreference something then you are a STAN! You just used an apple emoji so by your terminology are you an apple stan? Possibly !You are playing into a stereotype that if you like minecraft you are lame. Maybe just maybe take a moment to realise that 1 TRILLION people have watched minecraft videos and you are included so if i like that i am clearly not the only one! Quite ridiculous.I hope you have a good day but also this is the internet and so you can give your opinion as can i about yours. Oh btw if you know that phrase then by your standards you are also a minecraft stan lol . have a nice day bud :) I am dropping a sub
Of all the speedruns I've watched, the Celeste speedrun is my favorite type to watch. All the speedruns are insanely hard and deserve praise, but to me it's those like the Celeste run that just get me.
with the elden ring speedrun the impressive part is landing the zips so perfect. you even see how he struggles with the second zip at maliketh because at how hard it is to do in the first place, and then you need to time your landing also, otherwise you just fail the zip and have to reload.
The most astounding things about those crazy speedruns is the fact, that the game just doesn't crash after all those specific events (inputs, positioning, frame timings, etc.) and even finding those strats
8:12 there actually is a ton of rng, just no seed rng and stuff (1/240 or so for perfect item drop directions, 1/8 or so for good iirc, 1/10 for flint 1/13 for instance perch, etc.)
Pretty sure he was just going through the spreadsheet his mods gave him but idk maybe he was checking chat to see which ones people wanted him to watch first
Basically what happens is that you load the boss (Elden beast and God) in, then zip out of the area which causes the area to despawn. The Elden Beast and Godfrey is now falling to their death. Godfrey dies which then spawns Hourah and takes you back into the arena. Elden Beast is still falling to their death. You use Hourah to kill you which gives you enough time for the Elden Beast to die which triggers the game to spawn you into the tree.
I didnt even notice that the minion suit was weird until the guy pointed out in the end, i legit watched 14 minutes of someone wearing a minion suit and didnt even bother.
I did acknowledge that he was wearing a minion outfit subconsciously, but i didn't even question it and completely forgot he was wearing it until the end of the video
In Jumper, they can teleport to what they see in their mind. As long as they clearly picture where they want to go, they can teleport there. Or they can teleport to what they’re looking at.
I haven't watched any speed runs in this category but I think elden ring glitchless is the best one because it's truly a test of who is the best at the game and can beat every boss as fast as possible
