Happy Sunday, June 30th everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Major Hurricane Beryl has strengthened to a Category 4-hurricane this morning and continues to move west into the Caribbean Sea this week. Also, extreme heat and humidity will continue to fuel additional rounds of severe weather across parts of the United States into early July!
The possibility of a tornado? 🌪️ That last thunderstorm we had was weird! The thunder sounded strange. There was a gust that smacked into my northern window that spooked me. 🥹🗽♥️ I’m not brave with weather, it can’t be controlled.

The last 2 weeks have been either hot or extra hot & humid! I have a feeling it's going to be a pretty bad summer for us here in Kansas. Our seasons are now condensed into 2. Winter or summer. You either get 0 degrees or 100 degrees. 😫 Yesterday afternoon I happened to check the temperature to see how hot it was outside, & it said it was 88 degrees, but feels like 100. It was brutal. It makes any outdoor activities absolutely miserable. Unless it's a pool day.
The latest drought monitor released this past Thursday, June 27th shows parts of the Ohio Valley in abnormally dry conditions (or minor drought) currently. It appears drought may develop more widespread in the Ohio Valley towards the middle of July!
The high-pressure is gonna migrate east dragging the hurricane with it like a vacuum cleaner. That means, Wednesday-Saturday this week, as the high-pressure moves out, the jet stream is gonna drop and the hurricane is gonna move with it. The heat dome is about to turn into thunderstorms for the mid-south
You're the best Hunter! I was this close 🤏 to taking my son with me on a carribean vacation for my birthday, from July 29th - Aug 8th! Eeek! Something kept telling me not too. Whew. That would have not been fun! I travel a lot, so I had it narrowed down to Belize,Granada, or Aruba. We just got back from Jamaica not to long ago, so I'll be praying for my new found friends I met while I was there. ❤ I have friends in Belize right now. Hopefully they make it back in time! 🤞 What are the chances it heads towards Cancun/Cozumel area? That's a pretty popular tourist area. Thank you for watching! I appreciate it. It’s likely to be an above-average Atlantic hurricane season this year. For Cancun or Cozumel to be impacted by Hurricane Beryl is extremely uncertain because the storm is just now entering the Eastern Caribbean Sea. But I’ll keep you updated!
