Informative, concise, review with great image and video examples! I'm sold! I swtiched from Lumix M43 to full frame when the S5ii came out and loved that the body was the same size as the G9. But the fast zoom lenses are HUGE and take take a lot of the portability away! This is the perfect travel lens! Thanks for this video!

Thanks Glenn! I also love shooting on m43 but after S5IIX I can’t stop shooting with it, it has so many great features! Yes this is such a versatile little lens 📸💯

I was not really interested by their 18, 24, 35mm f1.8 or 100mm macro, but I'm definitely hyped by this one !

Finally, a good walking around and travel lens for S mount. Too bad about the F4+, but I like the weight/range so I will also carry the 25mm f1.8. I also like the macro capabilities. Thanks.

Yeah it does get darker in the telephoto range but it’s good to see that LUMIX managed to have a smooth aperture transition to f7.1, unlike some other lenses that close down to the smallest aperture half way through their focal length. The weight and size is fantastic. 💯

In your previous video, you mentioned possibly putting the 100mm lumix for macro into your bag. With this one having the macro feature, too, granted, not a 1:1. Do you think you will still choose the 100mm lumix, or would this one be good enough? Essentially I'm trying to decide if its worth having both the 28-200 and the 100.

Hey, I think for macro specifically I still would stick with the 100mm lens, I like the look of 100mm and for the shots I would be getting the 100mm makes more sense but it really depends on what type of shot you're after, 28 and 100mm does have a completely different look. So it really depends from the shots you'll be getting. Another option would be a Probe Lenses, they have a wide field of view, macro and have a few extra cool features built in. (Let me know if you want to see a video about a probe lens).

First!! And awesome studio lighting!

Thanks!! Yeah wanted to change the vibe a bit. Only used 3 lights this time! … compared to the 7 for my last video lol. Studio shot was shot on the Sirui 35mm 1.6x anamorphic with a +2 diopter on it, it pushes the background out of focus nicely👌

@@masterofcamera oh right, yeah i thought the background looks nice!! 7 lights for your last video!!! that's a lot 😵‍💫

Rf 24-240 f4-6.3 lives on my r6ii. I'm waiting for the brand that would release 20-200. This lumix is lighter but I'd take slightly heavier with wider angle.

Loveeeeeee it!! For the lightweight I don’t mind the compromised of the fstop, for travel we mostly use it during the day, since it’s so light we can carry an additional prime ❤
@masterofcamera

💯💯Yeah 28-200 for daytime content and prime for lowlight is the way to go… I actually was shooting some shots with the 28-200 last night and got some decent shots during blue hour 👌

Would you use this lens for motorsports?
@masterofcamera
@masterofcamera 6 месяцев назад
Shooting motorsports as a hobby yes (as long as you’re shooting during daytime). Shooting professionally I would get a constant aperture lens 70-200 f4 or f2.8.

F4+ is really unimpressive. If I find a good deal then maybe. The size and weight is appealing but again that aperture isn't good.
