Just an advice, try to create amazon links from mainland Europe also, if you can. People from EU have to pay taxes and customs for UK import, they won't consider that a good idea.
@@telelaci2 definitely! It's a shame that Amazon works differently in every country and separate links have to be created. I was planning to do links to USA and Spain but I have no idea what location would be best, say, for people in Hungary. Do you know? :) Thank you, really appreciate the advice!! 🥰
@@danielazziptrips It's not because of Amazon, but because UK left EU and they are not part of the EU customs union anymore, they have different terms now. Little countries like Hungary or Portugal can use other EU member Amazon contries, like .de, .fr, .es, .it Personally I use .de because that is the biggest in EU. If you have one Amazon subscription that will work on every Amazon sites on the world. You can buy things anywhere you want, but without customs and taxes only from EU countries. Therefore .com, .jp, .au, or .co.uk will be an expensive choice.
@@telelaci2 got it! On my case, in order to add the links to different countries on Amazon, I need to have separate accounts on each of them (works different than as a customer) so it is a bit of extra work. I didn't know that .de was the biggest in Europe so it's really good to know that! I will get an account on that one so that I can eventually add more EU links ☺️
Thank you for your kind words! God is good and I believe that! ☺️ The surgery seems to have been a success since I have since went for a swim and didn't develop any infections!
Hello Daniela, I've been following your channel for quite a long time now, but I think this is my first comment. Your videos have really improved in quality lately, especially the Hungary series shows this quite clearly. (It's so easy to sit in front of the monitor and nag about quality. As I recently made my first attempts with videos myself, I can only say: My utmost respect for your work). But back to the reason I decided to write a longer comment. I find your life path outstanding. The positivity and joie de vivre that radiates from each of your videos can only serve as an example for everyone. Also, the courage and determination with which you pursue your goals (leaving your home country at a young age to study in Poland and then going to England) is very rare nowadays. So I hope that your surgery was successful and that you will soon be able to do all the things you have been unable to do until now. Who knows, maybe the next time you go to Portugal you won't fly from London but swim the English Channel first and then fly from France. I would definitely watch the video. 😉 I wish you the best and fastest recovery and that the surgery does what you want it to do. Kind regards from Germany
Hi, this is definitely your first comment as I don't remember seeing your name/face around before 😉 Really appreciate you sticking around for this long, leaving a comment and becoming a Patron 🥰 As a perfectionist, I always try to do my best so I am really glad to see that the viewers do enjoy what I create and appreciate the improvement on quality too! And thank you for your kind words! The surgery was a success but now we're still waiting to see if I can actually swim or not as this will be something we will only know with time. I believe that things don't just get handed out to you (not most of the time at least), and if I am not pleased with something, I look for solutions and generally won't stop looking until I find one - and I think that's why I get out of my comfort zone so often. As for swimming to France... Not too sure I would do that ahahahah but the idea is here, so who knows eheheh kind regards from England and wishing you loads of happiness and success in your life too! Hope you continue to stick around for a long time 🥰
Hey! Don't you know that seeing a pretty girl cry is contagious??? lol. I'm so sorry that you had to go through that as a child and wish you a successful surgery and a speedy recovery!
Eheheh thank you so much for your kind words! I wouldn't say it was a major thing, so many people go through real hardships, but it was a bit difficult at first accepting that I wouldn't be able to swim anymore. So this surgery was certainly life changing in that sense :)
I hope with all my heart that you will get to whatever you have wished for so long...And speedy recovery, inshallah !!! Thank you so much for your work.
Thank you for such kind words my dear, it means a lot! I am currently still on recovery (it's taking longer than expected) but I am hopeful it will work in the end! I can't wait to be back to posting videos 😊 hope you have a lovely weekend!
Thank you so much! I hope so too! I have been for now practicing in a public pool as I am no longer used to swimming, but am quite excited about it! :D
Hi Daniela. That was a difficult video to watch. Seeing you so upset. 😢 This is a 'bitter - sweet' situation. Very sad that you have to have the surgery, but just think that in the very near future, this could change your life. How amazing will it be in 12 months from now when you can go swimming and diving. Just look to the future. This is just a little blip on lifes road. You seem very strong & grounded, & I'm sure you'll be back to normal in no time at all & making your videos. Much love & good wishes from myself & my family. Please keep us all posted on how you are. 🤗😊
Hi Matthew, I just want to say once again "thank you" for always being so supportive and kind. When I got told about this surgery I was extremely happy, and was mostly crying from feeling grateful to have been seen by someone who offered me a way out of a situation I never thought would change. I have been to a pool two times ever since and been trying to go more frequently as I am not used to being comfortable in the water, and I am excited to hopefully one day visit some underwater locations I always wanted to 😍☺️
Thanks for sharing this with us. It's such a cool and great step for you. Good luck with your surgery and have a quick recovery because we would like more cute videos from you. All the best, from Hungary! :-) xx
Thank you so much and apologies for such a long reply!! I have tried swimming ever single more than once actually and it has been amazing. I missed being underwater for sure! Now I just have to practice as it is no longer something I am comfortable with
Having suffered from Cholesteatoma myself - it's a tough process. I did suffer some facial paralysis from the surgical removal. Three surgeries from ages 10 - 13 and still dealing with the small nuances associated with it. Glad you're on a journey to get better!
Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that! The thought of having facial paralysis at the time was so scary, can't imagine actually having to experience it. I thought cholesteatoma was a very lonely experience - I practically never met anyone that went through the same and everyone always had a million questions regarding why could I not swim or why did I get dizzy when in pain. I was definitely luckier than you with just 2 surgeries (3rd one would likely lead to facial paralysis) from 11-12. This surgery was a success and I had the opportunity to snorkel for the first time a couple of months ago, something I could never imagine doing. Would this surgery be possible for you too?
@@danielazziptrips I actually had the repair done on the final removal of my Cholesteatoma! I just deal with weird uncomfortable pressure when dunking my head under the water. I've only known one other person to deal with Cholesteatoma which was my father, so it was random when your video popped up (loved the videos you did on Hungary) and the title piqued my curiosity. I'm happy to hear that you were able to enjoy snorkeling!! That's such a great experience for someone like us who dealt with this!
@@brendanzwiefel2256 that's great that you had it straight away! Since no one mentioned the repair to me for years I have this tendancy to assume the same thing has happened to others who have gone through the same - I guess not! Interesting you mention that, is it always when being underwater or just when going deeper? I can't seem to be able to dive deeper than 1.5m without feeling an incredibly painful pressure on my good ear and my head starting to spin. Thank you so much for your kind words, really appreciate them! 🥰
Desejo que a cirurgia seja um sucesso e que você te há uma ótima recuperação!! Que sua vida tenha uma reviravolta para a felicidade que você tanto almeja!! Torcendo por você!!😘
People can't appreciate small things in life like swimming until they lose the ability to do it. I'm happy you found a solution to your condition. Get well soon and make us more amazing content. :)
That's so true! We are all blessed with many good things but we take them all for granted because we don't know how much they actually mean to us and how hard it would be without them. Thank you so much for your kind words! I am excited to bring more videos soon 😊
@@danielazziptrips You're welcome and thank you for your reply. 😊 Yes, you are right and that can be also applied to people. By the way if you still can’t eat properly then you could try to have some baby food. It sounds funny but it would add some variety to your diet. 😊
@@belloq4506 I actually never tried that! I tend to just eat soups, mashed banana/avocado and stuff like mashed potatoes with minced beef, but it's always a good idea ehehehe. Fortunately I can eat well now!
@@telelaci2 hi, thank you for your kind words and for joining my patreon, it means a lot! 🥰☺️ I am a lot better, the ear is still not fully recovered but I am feeling normal now (just not sure yet if the surgery worked or not as we have to wait for it to heal to then try it out). I actually wanted to be back a while ago, but I started upgrading my maps in the meantime and need to finish that to come back with videos again as I won't be able to do both at the same time. I am almost finishing though! Should be another 1-3 weeks max!! Hopefully I will be back sooner than 3 weeks. Thank you so much for checking in and I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!! 🥰☺️
Hi there! I had that for many years after my cholesteatoma removals, but not after the mastoid obliteration. The recovery from the mastoid obliteration was actually pretty fast!
@@AnjanaBudhlakoti have you spoken to your surgeon about it? My mastoidectomy was so long ago I actually don't know how long it took until my dizziness stopped, but I would say possibly a few years :/
Hi! I had two cholesteatomas when I was young. I can't quite say I was suffering from a specific condition afterwards, but more so that I had to live with the consequences of the them (which included not being able to swim, having to go to the ENT every 6 months, etc.)
Wow, maybe there is a cure for my chronic nosebleeds. Is the healthcare system in Portugal worse than in the UK or is it just a coincidence that you stumbled upon someone who claims they can reconstruct your ear?
So sorry to hear that you have that! It must be annoying on your daily life. To be honest, I think the healthcare system is pretty similar, except NHS has a much bigger budget and is a lot more innovative/advanced, so I am not surprised when I hear about procedures I never heard about in Portugal or when I realise that they consider one procedure to be necessary in order to improve your life quality (so it's covered by the public health) whereas in Portugal they would not mention that option or they would, but the public health care wouldn't cover it. The only thing I would say I think it's better in Portugal is the fact that follow up appointments are a bit better (NHS can forget your appointments quite easily) and sometimes you are meant to be seen regularly but in the NHS a random doctor sometimes discharges you even though you should continue to be seen. I hope I answered your question correctly!
@@danielazziptrips More than correctly. So in Portugal they care more but in the UK there are more resources if I got it right. And here we have Hungary where we have neither, the anaesthetic is often the nurse calling you a btch if a procedure hurts :D
@@redactedcanceledcensored6890 uhhhh that's not nice :/ We needed a hospital while we were in Hungary (nothing too serious) and the reviews were pretty bad in most places - we ended up giving up and went to a private clinic. As for the UK/Portugual situation, I wouldn't say they don't care here in the UK, I think it's more like maybe they have too many people or just the system they have it's not as good so they lose appointments and the next doctor you see doesn't really know what the previous one did, etc. It's a bit messy sometimes.
