Also, I don't think MVC2's UI is appreciated enough. It's small, compact, and stylish, and leaves SO MUCH ROOM on the screen. I love it. Every other fighting game seems to be obsessed with big life bars that just cut off the top, like, 1/4th of the screen, and gauges on the bottom to take up another 1/5th.
I once saw a Ken, rouge, colossus team that absolutely wrecked house during evo. Everyone showed up with their sentinels/magnetos/ironmen, etc. and got destroyed. Rouge got super armor from kissing ironman or sentinel and Ken has dodge frames in his ground roll and shouru-reppa that makes sentinel damn near useless against him. Real spit.
@@theWIIISEguy Yes for real. If it's timed right Ken's shouru-reppa perfectly dodges sentinel's rocket punch super. Mind you I witnessed this back in the summer of '07 or '08 on an arcade cabinet machine so it might have been patched out since then.
This man, Max, beat a similar but not exactly the Strain of COVID-19 and makes Jill look like a Tier 2 Character. ANYTHING can be done in Max's Hands....

That's a very "horror" team. i love the theme teams in this game like: "fake robots" (ironman, WM, Doom) "spiders" (spiderman, venom, spiral) "real robots" (kobun, MM, sent) "animals" (sonson, felicia, wolv) "captains" (ruby, cap am, capcom) "glasses" (charlie, cyclops, capcom) "headbands," "Russians" etc
I can understand the love for infinite's gameplay but, man, if they ever make a new MvC, they need to give it a roster like this one. I was looking at the gameplay and I'm just captivated by the magic that its in this game...but maybe that's just my nostalgia kicking in.
Even just a roster like UMvC3. I was replaying it recently and the roster is fucking nuts dude. You have super goofy characters that are still fun with a mix of classics. Most of the original members of the roster were really cool addition. It also helps that everything looks amazing. MvCI wouldn't have had the issues it did if it looked like MvC3 or had a similarly good roster.

I loved playing as Jill in this game. I once stopped Juggernaut's Head Crush with a grounded zombie and parried Jin's Blodia Punch. Those were the two hyped moments of my fighting game life

Capcom still keeps the mvc2 servers running even though the game isn't available for purchase anymore? This really makes me respect Capcom so much because I can't see another game company like EA or Ubisoft doing this.
Keep in mind, Disney initially pulled the license for other companies to make Marvel games in 2014. It's been 6 YEARS, and Capcom has chosen NOT to shut the servers for this game down. A game whose last port was on 7th Generation consoles.

Shes like the absolute epitome of mid tier. Shes not slow but isnt moble she got basic air combos into super built in but not much more than that and her normals are utterly average. She has a gimmick with limited effectivness in the zombie calls that gives her a niche over the low tiers. Her assist and DHCs are passable in mid tier gameplay. Thats it thats just Jill
MAHVEL BABY, its back! I can still play this on my PS3, but I still pre-ordered the MvC Collection for PS4/PS5 and plan on getting it on Steam when its released.
I've noticed a lot of these lower tier teams include one x-man and one street fighter... And I know that Street Fighter and X-men make up a lot of the roster... Its just something i noticed.
I saw Yipes use Sabretooth Ken Thaos did a infinite loop with Birdie Assist into ken combo then Thanos bubble loop. Many low tier can be mixed up just takes time in the Lab 👍Awesome work Max‼

Not only does MvC2 still function well online, it still looks fantastic graphically. Fighting games should stick to sprites so we aren’t cursed with more hideous titles like SFV and Infinite.
I can’t be the only one who loves the capcom vs snk and marvel vs capcom art style from back in the day. If only we could get more games like these today😪 and don’t even get me started on the music
Remember when I could do a combo with Spider man, guile & iron man that could kill almost any character from perfect, using only 1 bar. Hulk, colossus & sentinel where the only ones left with a silver of health. In ps3, repulsor blast, akuma/Ken tatsus between others attacks, where broken since they did tons of dmg in combos. My bro always sweat hard when I pick them.
Even though I own it for Dreamcast and XBox you have to remind me that I. Annoy buy it any longer for modern consoles. Thank you Max 😂🤣. I love this game.
Seeing Jin's intro and the one super... as well as that one desert stage tells me this was not meant for wide screen I do wish there was a way to play this game, able to buy it digital, i really want to just try it out, but i am trash at fighting games so i prob will just try the easy CPU or something
