This Tudor Was Good BUT had One Big Flaw....... 

Got it in reversed black panda and it's my favorite watch in my collection. Suprisingly it wears thinner than it looks, it seats super comfortably on my 18.5cm wrist, and it's stunning under any light.

8:30 "It is big isn't it" ... That's what she said. Nearly spat my tea out! haahaha! Absolutely brilliant review Russell!!! I love this chronograph - it packs a mean punch doesn't it! But I'm sadly waaay sized out of this one. I didn't even take stock of it having more water resistance than the Daytona!! Strong watch choice! Love it Russ!

I think Tudor are using the snowflake hand throughout all of the Black Bay range. So that becomes synonyms with the BB (& Pelagos). A nice watch they sell which matches your description of a perfect chrono might be the omega snoopy speedmaster moonwatch. Looks fantastic.

Great episode. Nice looking watch. I agree on the snowflake hour hand as it blocks too much real estate on the subdials. I own a BB58 and I love the snowflake hands on a diver - my BB58 is the most legible watch I own and the easiest to tell the time at a glance. And I personally like the contrast between the snowflake hands and the round hour markers (I'm not a fan of square hour markers). Ask for a panda Daytona next!

A friend of mine just got the bb chronograph and he has a 6.5" wrist, I agree it belongs on a bigger wrist. I would love to see a review of the GP loriato 38mm in the future 🤞

I totally understand why people don’t like a date window, that being said, as a college student i find that everyday blurs together. the date window is a must for me!

I have the S&G version of this.. tried both on, I think the S&G looks a bit smaller on the wrist due to the colour of the dial. love it.

Let's face it , most people who buy this aren't using it as a stop watch. They just love the look of a chrono . I like the black version better as its a bit more legible. But the s and g version is a beauty . Minor niggle the pushers are a bit big, so I will stick to my bb s and g . Great review as always Russell, you always make me smile.

This watch wears like a glove on my 6.75 wrist . I own this configuration approximately one year now . I kept it on the steel bracelet for a while however I am now wearing it on the OEM leather and rubber strap . The watch doesn’t wear anything like it looks . One of my favorite in my collection and the one I get the most complements on

Great job Russell as always. I was fortunate to buy from my AD last year both Panda and reverse Panda🤔. Love them both. Would lean more towards Panda over reverse. Russell if you have a chance look at Premier Breitling line. I have a Breitling Datora in Salmon dial. A really beautiful watch looks ver similar to Patek Constellation. Breitling however came out with Datora back around about 80 years ago. So it’s not a homage to Patek.

Fantastic review. We have the same size wrist and I was very surprised at how big this wears. Agree with you on the date, not really necessary. So much potential, but not a home run for me.

I'm lucky enough to have one, I put it on a black rubber band and it shrinks the looks just enough for my 6, 3/4 wrist. Great video as always.

Nice review! I am lucky enough to have this one and I agree with most of your points. It is definitely not a perfect watch, but I actually like its confusedness. I don't really mind the snowflake covering the subdials. I also saw someone's mock-up of a straight handed version and I liked that one less than the real one. The size comment is right on. This is not a watch for everyone. I am in the 7.25-7.5" wrist category and I think it wears great, but too much less than that and it's going to be tough. I actually love having the date and I also like that that's another thing that differentiates it from the Daytona (and many other chronos). My only real con is the lack of on-the-fly micro-adjustment of the bracelet.

With a 7.25 inch wrist; I love these 41mm tudors. Tried the Bb58, lovely watch but was a bit small for me

My gf took a picture of my computer screen a while ago while i was looking at this watch. She told me on Valentine’s Day that she went to the Tudor AD to get it for me. Being in a big City, they had one for sale at retail and brought it for her right away….then she saw the price tag!! And said she couldn’t believe it 😅 Proceeded to ask me if this is normal and question how much my other watches cost 😂 long story short, she got me a $300 necklace instead which is still great! It’s just so funny to me that she walked into to Tudor to talk me up as a watch guy, but froze up when she saw the prices 😂 unforgettable story

Chronographs are my favorite type of watch, and this looks properly handsome. I do... kind of have to agree on the hands (and the date) from looking at it a few more times, but it just looks so good overall, I could definitely let that slide. A bit beyond what I could get at the moment though but as you said definitely far closer in reach than a Breitling,. That said, this is the Tudor I'd get for my collection.

The 45 minute totalizer is a bad idea. With the normal 30 minute register, one can time intervals longer than half an hour; needing only to estimate the time to the nearest half hour. With a 45 minute register, this becomes very difficult.

I never knew that the snowflake hand was designed for divers and the "Marine National" in particular, never too old to learn.

I totally agree with you on the Hands. The snowflake hand unnecessarily covers up much of the registers depending on the time and it just looks out of place IMO

It's a big-un! I do love this watch but I have to agree with you Russ, The snowflake hands look out of place on a chronograph. I've always thought that. Interesting about the Breitling connection. I never knew that.

Good review Russell, well done for sticking to your principles and avoiding the obvious Rolex. This is a lovely watch but a little oversized for my wrist but well worth a serious look

I almost pulled the trigger on this one several times but not sure if my 7 inch wrist will cope!

Same case as my GMT..... 😁 Astonishingly wearable given the heft..... Next I'd be grateful if you could review the white dial/blue bezel Cartier Santos... Seeing I'm on a long term save for one!

Tried on the Black Bay Pro and felt it was too thick. Shame really, they make some lovely watches looking down, but not looking from the side

This is a nice watch but just imagine if Tudor did a white dial BB Pro with size options. Like 39 -42mm. 👏👍

If you had the choice (which I currently do) would you go for: Option 1: the black Tudor Black Bay Chrono or an Omega Speedmaster; or Option 2: a Tudor Pelagos AND a Bulova Lunar Pilot 43mm.

Nice one Russell. I have to agree with your thoughts. I managed to get the call for one of these a couple of months ago and I love it! My wrist is around 7" and has a hand on the end of it, (depending on the temperature and any fast food that I've consumed) and it fits great. Yes it would be great if the watch went on the watch version of weight watchers for a time (pun intended) to slim down a tad but the proportions are good. The Breitling B01 like many newer 'in house designs' are pretty thick so the watches that carry that base movement will also be thicker but there are case designs that can hide this somewhat. Tudor has gone for the trade mark slab side case where some others slim down the mid case but have a protrusion of the case back to lessen thee visual impact. In Tudors defence using screw down pushers and a larger crown the bulk is really only noticed by the wearer. Oddly I'm OK with the snow flake hour hand as all the Black Bay watches to my extremely limited and probably incorrect knowledge have that snow flake. Anyway waffle over, many thanks for sharing.

Had one of these for a month, then sold it on with no loss. Got it at a decent discount. It's nicer in real life, but it is a bit chunky. Agree with u on those big snowflake hands covering sundials. Thanks for review.

Had one and liked it BUT I sold it for two reasons … 1) it was 178 grams, which is too heavy, and 2) I learned that I loathe screw down pushers, which make it necessary to remove the watch every time you want to time an event (which in my life is multiple times daily). Additional nitpick: the minute counter in the right sub-dial is actually difficult to read. But I loved the aesthetics.

Have a 7.5 inch wrist which would fit fine, and thickness would balance out a bit. Being 40mm Plus sort of spreads out the thickness.

It's a fabulous watch that feels premium without a doubt. The weight is perfect, but you are right, it's for us larger wristed nutters. Love it

I have the watch , picked it up 6 months ago , took me 1 year to get it from Tudor boutique at harrods, it’s up there with my favourite watches I own , it has a real vintage look to it . If you love watches go get one best value for money watch by a mile

Great looking watch...good crisp dial and i agree the hour hand looks out of place. Strange having a 200m spec on a chrono .. what would happen if you accidently pressed a button when diving?... hmm best not thinking of that one. Quality review MCW.

I've got a CW C60 chrono - brick city! - and to wind it feels, well, 'industrial'. Very heavy wind, but it just fits the beefy nature of the watch for me.

I think the snowflake hands actually made sense for this watch. Imo it's a dive chrono with a tachymeter rather than a regular chrono with a tachymeter with snowflake dive hands. Based on the thick slab case, 200m water resistance, screw down pushers and crown. everything just screams dive chrono but they've slapped a tachymeter on it instead of a dive bezel to make it look more like a Daytona ig? The tachymeter is the part that is out of place not the hands.

I don't really get chronographs, but with 200 fluid oz's of water resist you can snorkel and time fish... Which is a possible hobby Im reviewing. I think it is a great Looking watch, a little confused as a diver dial on a chrono, but it works, My issue with Tudor (and a bunch of brands) is why make a 45 minute timer???? Every chrono should at least do an Hour, even just for the silly reason of timing a lunch, the 30 minute ones are even worse. This is why the speedmaster is still king, You can actually time EVENTS not just quick happenings

Great video, this is a Daytona and a BB smashed together. A dive watch with a tachymeter scale? Not my jam. Also, the B01 is a hard wind on Tudor and on Breitling watches, it's weird.

Lovely looking watch but what is it that we are seeing on the side of the case opposite the crown? I do hope it isn't branding.

I like my Bay-tona. I have the black one and I mostly keep it on a fitted rubber strap. Looks like .. well … you know.. on the oyster flex.

The Tudor GMT is 15mm thick so for an automatic chronograph this does quite well.

I actually wasn’t a fan of this watch. I looked at it when I was at Tudor AD. Ended up going with Tudor Royal 41 blue dial. I just that watch is too thick and I didn’t like how the pushers/crown stuck out. Just not my style but it’s a good watch

A very nice watch. Not a huge chrono guy, but I do like the aesthetic and functionality. I really wish, other than avoiding the 'snowflake', that they would revert back to the rose logo on the dial. Next watch? Something OTHER THAN Rolex, Tudor and Omega, please!

I’m totally with you on the snowflake hands being for dive watches 🤿 I’d actually go a step further and say I don’t like snowflake hands on watches that don’t have the corresponding square indeces. It just looks weird to me having that square on the hour hand and round plots on the dial but I accept I’m in the minority there 😂 Not one for me but a great looking watch that seems very popular with watch enthusiasts. Yup, my Daytona right there. I have talked to 3 Rolex dealers, none of them act like they want to sell me a watch and I am over it. I bought a Tudor BB58 at a Reeds Jeweler and got treated like royalty. I am not gonna beg to buy a Rolex when Tudor is top quality anyway. Love your reviews man keep it up!

That Brietling engine is great built in equity. Too bad it’s not in the Heritage Chrono too which has a better two-tone retro vibe and the more attractive Tudor Chrono IMO.

I bought my Oris Limited Edition from Watchfinder. Found them a decent company to deal with. Why not go for something different, like Panerai or IWC?

So, frame the case specs, it seems it is using the exact same case (and bracelet) as the black bay gmt, save for two extra holes for the chrono pushers.

Most Tudors, seem to be slab sided But the problem i had was with that giant shovel hour hand, you can use the chronological functions, when is 3 or 9

Hey.... Tudor. I know you're owned by Rolex and all, but we do love an exhibition case back. Can you perhaps give us some more? The 925 is okay but.... I'll be honest though, I got the B01 Navitimer instead of this. It just wears so damn well.
