Brawl Stars recently had an update that I was not expecting. We got Surge, Super City Rampage, balance changes, emotes in game, and a lot more. I'm going to be reviewing everything we got in the update and talk about some of the issues or things that were missing that come in this update. I'll also give my 100% honest thoughts regarding it all, and then rate it on a scale from 1 to 10.

Look at the top of Spike. There is a faint cut-out hole. This means that: 1. Spike is a costume. 2. He is the mascot of the Brawl Stars theme park (hence the costume). 3. This is why there is Spike merchandise. 4. This is also why Spike doesn’t have a voice! (People in costumes at theme parks aren’t allowed to talk.)

Omar 112 MarioKart 7 ruined Koopa Cape and Maple Treeway. I also think that it kind of ruined Coconut Mall just because MarioKart 7 is so much less chaotic than MarioKart Wii, which was why Coconut Mall was so good for me. Mushroom Gorge was remade well though!

e d g e m a s t e r true but the game wont let you emote the no wifi button if its happening because of.. well.. connection, unless the game puts a no wifi bar above your head for everyone (team and enemies) so they know your not a useless random or a easy showdown kill though the showdown part will still result in a kill because no one cares if you have no internet they just realize you cant fight back XP

Even though this update may be a bit mediocre compared to other updates, supercells skin game keeps getting better and better. The amount of amazing features they keep putting into 150 gem skins just make them more and more worth the buy every update. Supercells art team is doing AMAZING and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for skins next update. Also, great outro 😂

For the cost of those silver and gold skins, I'd love to see them be applicable to each skin on a brawler as like a separate colour scheme instead of being their own skins outright. So instead of all that gold spent just on skins, you spend it to upgrade the entire brawler to silver or gold.

Dude yes I completely agree with that the extra event slot that was added made a huge difference, if Bounty, Heist or Siege was your favorite mode but you hated the other 2, then too bad, but now you get to play your favorite mode more if that was the case and completing quests for those modes will be easier now too. I love this feature!

The new rotation with 2 3v3 modes each really changed the way I looked at my quests. Before, three modes would be jammed up in a slot and I would receive a Bounty quest but since Bounty was just out of rotation today, I would have to wait for another 2 days to be able to play Bounty again to complete the quest.

I totally agree about the 6 event slots. Im the same way about my favorite modes (hesit and siege are my favorites) so having 1 of them up every day is one the best small changes they could have made, for me personally.

I think they should add pins that help communicate with randoms, especially if you play again. There could be an additional slot that changes for the game mode, so you can tell your teammates your plan, like if you should rush the safe in heist

They added the new environment and returned the jungle one! But... they took out both the City environment (I’m not sure if that’s its name, it’s the one that used to be of maps like Hot Potato from Heist) and they also took out Darryl’s ship. Hope they return soon without taking out other environments 😞

The thing I hate about pins is that I see even more teamers in solo and even duo showdown now... Honestly I dislike the Chromatic names, they're fine I just like my normal orange the best. I'd love an option to select normal colors. One thing I really hate is how the last passes quests were deleted once this season started, I thought they'd stick around since it said new quests wouldn't arrive for a week 😢 They could of made it so that the rewards didn't add to the new pass and just get you big boxes for every 500 tokens like normal. Finally I hope they adjust the quests you get cause I swear the last 2 weeks of the pass (including dailies) I got only 5 game mode quests, 4 Tic quests, and 4 Sprout quests >_> A variety clause and/or a once a week quest refresh would be really nice. I agree a 5/10 is fair.

Happy should be able to customize using all the yellow ones and then happy face brawler if you have it. Sad would be the blue ones and sad face brawler. Angry would be red ones and mad brawler. And special is customized through any other brawler pin you have. I also think we should get a free lag pin. That would also go nto special slot.

I have what I think would be some good balance updates for Surge: When Surge dies, instead of going back down to 1, he loses -1 level from the one he died on. If he's at level 4, his super does something special. I don't know what that is yet, suggestions would be great.

I'd say he should go down by -2 otherwise someone with a saved super could immediately get to 3 again on respawn. For his 4th use give him a slightly bigger smash radius (1 to 1.5 tiles), a 400 damage buff (1800 at max brawler level), it's able to break walls, and it knocks back enemies +1 tile.

Heya kairos I found a weird and pretty broken glitch to win super city rampage So I was playing a normal match of Super city rampage as 8-bit, and I had a colt and a frank for the rest of the team, ok I'll cut to the chase when frank used his stunning super on the monster it stunned him for the rest of the match but when ever the monster turned mad it could move, unless frank used his super again on the monster. Well keep up the good work

Fact: Brawl ball is a crowd favorite because us Europeans love soccer so much. Both Brawl Stars and football is popular in Britain, France, Finland and Russia. Opinion: "White Crow" borderline sounds like a supremacist movement. Speculation: Serge will get a small health [and/or] damage buff with each super.

Great vid Kairos. I can understand why you gave the update a 5 out of 10. The update itself wasn't bad. It was a fine update. But considering just how big the previous two updates were, I was expecting a lot more. Hopefully Supercell does release a much bigger update. I still love Brawl Stars, and it's amazing as to how much retention the game has. I've been playing the game for about 2 years and 2 months now, and by this point, I basically quit Clash Royale and I only log on to Clash of Clans occasionally. My point is that the Brawl Stars dev team has yet to make an update that I would call bad. Clash of Clans had the TH 11 update which caused a lot of players to quit. Clash Royale had at least two bad updates like the "Touchdown update" and the clan wars update which effectively killed the game for me because of how underwhelming the updates were.

Surge :- seems underwhelming without starpower unlocked Supercity rampage :- totally trash Gadgets :- 1 every week ,enjoy waiting time of 34 weeks. Brawl pass :- totally worth it. I will give this update 4 out of 10.

I honestly can't imagine rampage being made fun. The weekend events are in general not fun. I hardly spent tickets for over a year until I had to so I didn't have to exchange them for gems. I think an interesting idea for the weekends would be typical game modes but modified in interesting ways like bringing back original siege (aka the better siege) or making a heist map with the safes in the middle or maybe 2 gem minds for gem grab. I'd love weekend events if they did that!

Would you like to know another problem with this update. In rampage you can trap your own teamates in the corner for however long it lasts for. I get its a glitch but there is so many better ways to do it

I would love to be able to strategize using emotes. Something as simple as a ball emote in bb to ask your teammates for the ball or a gem in gem grab to settle the designated gem carrier

Good thing is I saw 6 teamers sticking together when using Carl on high rank... I decided to team but not stick as there was tara spinning... The thing which I feared happen.. The tara charged her super and killed 2 teamers... 4 of them survived and they never team in the whole match... Lmao

i don't know if im' a weird or normal player but my favourites game mode are : heist > hot zone > siege > brawl ball > bounty > solo showdown > gem grab > duo showdown I have 10k 3v3 win, 500 solo showdown win and 14 duo showdown win so you know how much i hate duo Inconsequential but just wanted to share it

Kairos is a legend. He puts so much work into his video so that we have a good understanding of things. In other games I didn't feel like playing because I wan't informed what was the best thing to do but herein brawl stars we have Kairos whose help is insane. Keep up the great work Kairos

I actually am so excited for the extra event slot as well! Just like you, I also am a massive Siege fan, and really feel sad when ppl are always hating on it 😂 I feel like it's very unique and requires really good team synergy and skill at basic parts of the game. The extra slot shows that the devs care about what everyone likes, and doesn't just dump all the other modes into 1 rotation because the majority prefers BB

i have some predictions/ideas for surge’s 2nd star power. 1st idea = when surge dies, he still has one upgrade with the S P E E D 2nd idea = when surge reaches his 3rd upgrade, his super will have a wider radius so it has a better chance to damage enemies 3rd idea = a 4th upgrade. this will put use to his lightsaber (default skin) or lance (mecha paladin skin). if an enemy is within 3 tiles or surge, the lightsaber or lance will whack them and surge will deal an extra 1000 damage to them. this upgrade will also b labeled by a pentagon or an infinity sign

Kairos I completed INSANE 16 by using a glitch. I didn't know about the glitch before but when I saw someone else use it I realized that there is a glitch that stops the monster permanently.

My only problem with Pins is how to obtain them lol. A fix I thought of is making them a very small (like 1%) drop rate from boxes so users (like me) who only get coins from boxes will have another incentive to grind out the purple boxes at the end of season

Clash royale has different areas of interest on screen which allows using more emotes. In CR your opponent places units in the top half of the screen so you can cover bottom half with emotes menu relatively safely. In Brawl stars important things can happen anywhere on your screen (like Penny sneaking to your IKE in bushes at the edge of the map or enemies appearing from multiple sides in showdown) and thus emotes menu must cover as little space as possible. Additionally, CR requires much less reaction time. There is at least 1 second deploy time plus most units have to walk closer to your tower. In BS you need much faster reaction. All things combined it is more dangerous for the player to open a huge emote menu in BS.

Nanis attack splits because without the splitting auto aim doesn't work.. Dealing half damage would make it useless and would make auto aim even worse than the other brawlers which is just unfair

In clash royale you can use all your emotes but the 8 emotes are emotes on your first page of emotes. So basically you can put your most used emotes there so you don't need to swipe alot and seek for the emote you want to use.

For the chromatic username they should make it so everytime u buy a brawl pass it gets more and more flashy or if u buy a certain amount of Brawl Pass like 5 or something u get like a special chromatic username color. Tell me what u think, obviously the 2nd option doesn't have to be 5, it could be lower or higher.
