Another ideas for possible purchasables: - Exclusive voices (words/phrases) than the default ones, maybe exclusive when facing specific brawles. Eg: when Nita kills a Bo she says something different. - Possible to change how you Brawler appear on the beggining of the match, when it shows both teams in the scream before the game starts. Maybe the portrait could be different, or the frame, or adding details to it.

For someone who has awful luck with brawler unlocks (only 19 brawlers at 6000 trophies, last brawler unlock was three months ago), the removal of season rewards was a hard hit to my progression. Needless to say, I think everybody, including myself, would love the rewards to come back

As a f2p who obviously isn’t maxed, I very much preferred tokens as the end of season reward more than the star points. My reasoning is simple, skins won’t really help me progress in the game. Upgrading a brawler from power 8-9 takes 1250 coins which is a “lot” as you only get an average of 20 coins from the small boxes and the big boxes on the other hand take too long to obtain. What I want to say is that the overall progress is hindered in my opinion.

I think a good idea to get star points would be giving out challenges like kill a certain amount of players or win 10 solo showdown matches

I think that another way supercell can give out more star points is by letting players earn them through getting "star player" in every match, that way players with more skill will earn more star points🙃

Maybe if they implemented a quest system that you would get like 1 or 2 daily quests for a couple star coins it would help to get them a bit easier. Things like "Finish a gem grab match while holding at least 6 gems." Or "Outlive a total of 30 opponents in showdown." "Do a total of 10000 damage to heist safes." Maybe have increased rewards for the weekend modes, like "Deal the final blow to a big brawler." Or "Survive for at least 5 minutes in robo rumble." Just some ideas

Getting 45 star points from season reset and no tokens was honestly a huge slap in the face for me. I wish they gave out star points retroactively and counted all previous season resets.

The trophy change is 100% a good thing. Supercell fell into the mobile game trap of choosing an Elo system for trophy gain/loss, and while it would take too long to get into it's precise pros and many cons, the long and short of it is that Elo ultimately at high levels results in top-level players playing less, getting more negative experience from games, and even quitting. At high levels, an Elo system penalises top players massively for losses (especially in binary game formats where it's win or lose every time) and under-rewards them for wins. This is an inherent flaw in the Elo system and why many people among the chess community (where it is commonly used) feel it is a bad way to rank players. Supercell really should've went for a league format, where wins gain you rank gradually and losses simple get you nothing. That eliminates the negative game experiences and makes it more likely you will keep playing to get better, rather than keep playing to gain back your lost trophies. This opinion above is 100% based on having played a mobile game with an Elo-based PvP system for 5 years, and seeing its playerbase slowly stop playing that mode because of how flawed it is. It has other flaws which are probably a greater problem than the win/loss system, but all the flaws combine. The new trophy system is SC finally recognising that 99.9% of its players are not 'pro' gamers. We are not 'top' players, to use a horribly overused term, but we are not noobs either. We want to get some fun out of casual Brawl Stars play, not constantly grind just to retain or win back what was lost. This change no longer makes it so risky to play your brawlers between 300 and 500, now there's a REASON to push hard, in order to get star points. One complaint about this update is that they've totally removed getting tokens at the end of seasons...so now anyone below 500 gets nothing. They have mentioned this directly so I expect this to change.

I'm a little behind here...I guess you released this video on July 3rd...oh well...Holiday and all. Ha. Anyways, Thanks for your review. I agree with pretty much everything you said. I think as a player that did not have anyone over 500 (I do now have 2 brawlers over 500..yay), I was very disappointed to not have the season reward as before. I think what they could have (and should have) done is give you season rewards in tokens up to 5000 or 10000 something like that...and then also give the star points as well for brawlers over 500. Or I know it would be a little more complicated, but they could have an algorithm that takes your total trophies minus any trophies on any brawlers that are over 500 (that way your max would be 27*500=13500) and then distribute token season rewards based on that...and then star points based on brawlers over 500. Anyways, it will be interesting to see if they do change the season rewards at all. I think right now a lot would be forgiven (so to speak) due to all the other changes that were introduced that are great. I think if they came back and said "ok, we are changing season rewards based on feedback" everyone would be ok that there are 1 or 2 seasons that they didn't get rewards. :) Thanks Kairos!!

I agree with what you pretty much said. Kinda sad about no end season tokens and I dont even have a level 9 brawler. Closest I got is a poco at 600 trophies at level 8, i feel star points could be like. 1 trophy = 1.3 or 1.4 star tokens, so if i have let's say 100 trophies taken away i get around 130 star tokens, they cant give crazy amounts but idk how i feel about grinding for one skin

Supercell please give us star tokens because most players are under 500 trophies for each individual brawler

Mine and (pretty much) my entire club's opinion: The trophy progression changes suck. I used to grind the game a ton, maybe 10+ hours a day, and I'd see gains, and trophy reset will bring me down a thousand or so trophies. However, I also had friends who didn't play nearly as much, but managed a decent trophy level exclusively from winning a lot more games. With the new progression, however, the latter type of player is entirely excluded. The trophy gains no longer depend on skill, and if you ask me, the upper echelon of a game *should be the most skilled, not the ones who have the least lives*. If they want a fix for the ridiculously difficult to get star skins, either A, lower the price, or B, earn more star points per trophy than the current pitiful 1. I liked the overall update, but I absolutely hated this change, and many other top players do too.

In terms of Star Points, I'd like the star point skins for the really expensive ones (10,000 to 50,000) to be halved so it's not straight up robbery.

Bronze league: 500 Star Points Silver league: 1,000 Star Points Gold League: 1,500 Star Points Brawler league: 2,000 Star points (With the exception of extra star points based on trophies) I'm with Kairos on the diversity of Star points being given to hard working/Trophy pushing players.

This reminds me of the character idea (centered around the beach) Her name is “Queen Darya” She has shell armor, Red hair and is a similar size to penny and Jessie.... she wields a trident which has an attack width of 1 but a range of 6, she has 3 ammo and each attack does 1300 damage... her super is called “whale warp” Queen Darya waves her trident and a portal in the floor quickly appears, a narwhal leaps out and leaps in the direction she casts it, breaking walls and dealing 1600 damage to enemies in its way, when the narwhal reaches its stoping point it dives down into another portal... Star powers: pointy porpoise- Queen Daryas narwhal gets a sharper horn, now dealing 2200 damage instead of the initial 1600. Second star power: Track and Trident- when Queen Daryas ammo bar is full, she moves 15 percent faster.

they could like to introduce "prestige" as the oldest call of duty online, maybe after 500 you decide to climb more high in cups or to rank by prestige 1 --> 2, that takes u to 0 trophies with the brawler but you actually gain reward or new weapon or new stuffs.. (the prestige doesnt influence ur trophy count by took them to 0). That's a draft but if they actually think to improve the game that's one possible path to follow.

At first I really thought they were replacing coins with star coins and then they didn’t, now I’m mid to late game havin a few level 9s and 3 level 10s but those end of season rewards provided gold and points for my lower brawlers like bibs and tick so either the star coins or return of normal coins at the end of the season would be nice

Great video as always Kairos! This update was amazing and it's really good that pushing trophies is easier but they should award us more Star Points and also we must be able buy items like Boxes using them!

The removal of those maps was unfortunate. Siege is broken too. Trophy inflation was awful. They rushed the star point “fix” and it wasn’t thought out well.

The new trophy system is amazing

I think we should have 3 things for star points: 1. daily rewards. in daily rewards, when you log on you can access the daily reward screen. daily rewards could consist of 4 things star points gems coins power points I think this is a good idea because every day you log on you could be like "oh 10 star points" or oh "5 gems" its the smallest idea but could make an impact. 2. Daily challenges Daily challenges are pretty self-explanatory. you complete challenges and depending on how hard the challenge is, you get better rewards like this: Use Poco 5 times in gem grab= 15 star points Win 3 games on any 3v3 mode= 25 Bull powerpoints Win with Rico 3 times on solo showdown= 30 coins Become star player 5 times= 7 gems this is a good idea because it will give people a reason to play brawl stars a lot more throughout the day. 3. Weekly challenges Weekly challenges will reset every week. there will be 5 weekly challenges to complete and will be VERY challenging here are some examples: gain 50 trophies in 1 day= 15 gems get a brawler to rank 10 or above= 100 star points gain 30 trophies without losing= 110 power points get Rosa to rank 12 anyways I feel these are better ways to grind star points! :-)

What I liked about the end of season were the boxes because I need more money and power points (and the chance of getting mythic or legendary brawlers, but that never happens)

Making clubs more useful should be cover in the next update... Maybe every 100 or 500 trophies gained every season by the club = 1 star point

I think tick is ok in showdown, and not as bad as people think, he can kill boxes fast, and he can plant his mines so people can’t get to him, and he can check bushes well. He is betting in duos tho, cuz teammates like piper or colt work well with him

They should add a multiplier of around 5-10 times the trophies that you have above 500 for all your brawlers. For instance, you’ve got 100 total trophies above 500 for all your brawlers, so the 5x multiplier would give you 500 star points at the end of the season. They should also bring back the key rewards at the end of the season. Everybody should feel rewarded for pushing trophies, and not just the people that are pushing above 500.

I was happy about the super exclusive skins for 10 and 50k star points but now that they made trophy pushing easier it doesn't mean anything I liked how only players who've really been working for months could get the skins

As you know, Kairos suggested giving 6 star points (sp) to winners and 3 sp to losers above 500 trophies. I have a change that will give players an incentive to push even higher. My suggestion is that players will gain as many sp as they win trophies, and gain as many sp as trophies that they lose, still above 500. This would continue until the point in trophy pushing where you gain less than you lose. At this point, if you win, you would gain the amount of sp of trophies your opponents lost, and they would gain the amount of sp of trophies that you won. This encourages players to push higher to get more star points. For showdown, the amount of sp gained would start at 10 for first place, and go down by 2, so only the top 5 players would even get sp. 1st would get 10, 2nd 8, 3rd 6, etc... For duos showdown, it would be simpler. Only the top 3 players would get sp. 1st would get 10, 2nd would get 6 and 3rd would get 2. Let me know any suggestions or changes you may have to improve my idea.

It was a really good idea on supercells part for releasing them all weekly. Really has me interested in the game way more. If they keep adding stuff like they are now people will be alot more intrigued

Before update: you could get away from total noobs by reaching a tp of 360+. You would have a safe plateue at 500. So even if you didnt play for a while you would still be playing with good players when you got back. Now: you have to always push far beyond 500 (700+) to keep away from noobs. The noobfest will be sick at 500.

Have you or any yotuber asked if any or all of you could give some sneak peaks about whats to come, because brawlstars is on a little crysis after the update atleast on the middle ground, so that there wouldnt be need to be worried about trophy inflation or about some useful season rewards, weekly quests or something to keep interest in the game :)?? My 100% honest update reveal IN A NUTTSHELL: 1.Tick : I don't play him too much,but I think he is too weak;one buff will be good 2.2nd Star powers : Not care too much,mainly because I'm far away to max any hero to got one 3.Star points : Again not care too much,but I agree with Kairos that it is too hard to get any. 4.Removing season rewards : HATE THIS!That is one big and powerful slap into the face to the most players. 5.New shop : Indeed it looks cool.The only thing I don't like is that you can ONLY buy the skins that are there. And overall,I expected way more cooler update,I can even say that i feel disappointed.Hope the next update is WAY more better.

we need club wars and daily missions to make the game more interesting and diverse... the rewards from club wars and daily missions will make up for the removal of season end rewards and the slow progression of getting star points

The 3 small boxes werent much, but hey it was something and it felt good. Without it it just feels less achieving to reach a certain amount of trophies

Kaboom canyon (which is one of the best maps in the game in most ppls opinion) is still in the game and hasnt been released in MONTHS

I think the season reward should be tokens and then it switches to star points when you have like 5 brawlers up to 500 trophies because you have probably max out most characters

Kairos I’ve heard matchmaking for the pros can take really long, I feel that the pros should earn more star points for winning and losing due to a loss of time from matchmaking. Also, for solo showdown when you just got a new brawler, people could just quickly lose intentionally and take the star tokens. Maybe you can only get star tokens from matches after like 200 trophies?

I really like the new star powers, but I am really unhappy with the trophy changes. First, it devalues a lot of the pushing I did earlier, which is a relatively minor problem but is still annoying. Much worse, however, the changes force me to push a lot every season in order to play with decent players. In addition, playing with randoms from 500-800 trophies will be really bad since many of them will have pushed just by playing a lot and not by being skilled. Altogether, these trophy changes are really bad for anyone pushing above 500 trophies. They may give more rewards, but they didn't need to change the trophy system to do that. They could have just made each trophy worth more star points. This, along with taking away end of season rewards has made me dislike pushing because it just isn't very fun especially since I need to do the same process for every one of my brawlers every season before the game feels like it was before.
