Gary Rossington said it himself that all they're is a tribute band. He said that he was carrying on the legacy of all of those that have passed away. Long Live Lynyrd Skynyrd. They all may be gone but will never ever be forgotten about.
I can see the sadness in Johnny's eyes. I"m sure it was a tough gig for all of them. Rest In Peace Gary! I thank you, and all members, past and present, for many years of the best music.

When I saw Skynyrd in Sept 2019 on their farwell tour, Johnny told the audience that there would be a band as long as Gary was there. Well, I'm sure Johnny thinks it's his band now, but let's be honest. They are nothing but a tribute band now. Hopefully, they'll honor Skynyrd's legacy and stop. I saw Skynyrd 8 times. 4 before the plane crash and I still have the ticket stubs to prove it. They truly need to stop. We will never forget the music.
Weird hearing the opening guitar and not seeing that black hat of Gary tilted down. Even to the current times seeing him on stage always felt like a small glimpse of what it once was. Now without him I feel it’s over.
You’re pretty lucky cause I only got to see Rossington Collins band. But they were really cool. Gary and Allen made that band along with Billy and Leon the f course .

Why am I so sad this man I never met in person died. I got teary eyed from this video. I’m so glad I lived thru the musical era I have. Lynyrd Skynyrd was so different from the rest, we will never ever see a legendary band like them ever again. Only Artimus is left, not an original, but an important part of the bands timeline when the plane crashed. RIP to Gary & the rest of the band, play it pretty for Heaven. Maybe I will meet them in my next life 💔

This us the only band out there that gets this much attention still and after all have passed, Skynyrd will live forever and i dint care whos toes that steps on, i was around when the started out and im still around niw that they are gone and i have to say they are legend. God brought them together for us here on earth and he is at a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert in Heaven right now.

Rest in Peace Skynyrd I was stationed in Jacksonville FL 05/79 through 03/82 I was at Cecil Field and it's different when you are able to be right in the back yard of this group and watch tragedy after tragedy take its toll on the group Johnny with the passing of Gary your heart still might be in it to keep playing Skynyrd songs but what you did for Ronnie was amazing show of love and respect and maybe if you listen to the songs and Ronnie's voice they might be saying it's over Little Brother Gray is with us all in heaven now

lynrd skynrd was sort of adopted as the leader of the Southern Rock explosion that took over from the British invasion here in the US and pretty much worldwide

Lots of people care . They are all gone. It's not about the money. It's about respect for the founding band members.People can still hear the music for ever. Just cause you can don't make it right. Many fans have this opinion not all for sure .
