I was told I had glaucoma in my right eye in 2018 at the age of 70. I also had tons of tests throughout my life and was told I had nerve damage, and a host of other things. All I was given from any doctor was pills or injections. Was told at age 40 I had the bones of a 78-year-old. (3 spinal fractures) My whole life I told doctors I felt worse after eating. Just sent to one specialist to another. I finally stopped going to doctors and figured out myself what was wrong. Undiagnosed Celiac. After suffering excruciating face and head pain for decades lasting for up to 5 days and nights. I stopped gluten and no longer have any head or face pain. The pain in my eye has stopped and I am confident in time my full sight will be restored. Not one doctor ever spoke of vitamins or checked for cause. Just gave meds. Thank you for this video. I've been upping my vitamin D and all vitamins since I realized the cause in 2020. 💗
Arthritis they called growing pains at age 5. Along with other issues. Finally at age 47, when I found out gluten was the problem, I stopped getting growing pains.
I wish you speedy recovery 🙏. My grandfather lived 106 years. He rarely saw a doctor. He used to say: Grown man is own doctor! I agree that most physicians are very quick in prescribing meds. They don't bother to look at nutrition therapy or strengthen patients' immunity!
Doctors are not trained in nutrition in med school. They are educated to prescribe medications which is what you experienced. Thankfully we now have people like Dr. Berg to educate us in what we need to know to get healthier.
Thank you for sharing your testimony That's fantastic that your eyesight has continued to improve since you started taking 100,000 IU of Vitamin D3 12 months ago. Are you taking it for Glaucoma or another condition? How much K2 MK-7 are you taking daily with the Vitamin D3? Do you take that amount at one time or split it up? The reason I asked you these questions is because I was diagnosed with primary open angle glaucoma back in 2015 my left eye is considered legally blind so I can only see out of my right eye. Just about everything I take to lower the IOP aka intra-ocular pressure, reduce or eliminate oxidative stress and increase blood flow is with alternative medicine except for prescription eye drops that I put one drop in each eye before bedtime to lower IOP. Thank God the condition hasn't gotten worse but it hasn't improved either. Therefore I would like to start taking more Vitamin D3 & K2 / MK-7 I'm currently taking 10,000 IU of Vit D3 & 200 IU of K2 MK-7 daily I Don't fully understand how vitamin D3 can reverse glaucoma but if Dr Berg says it can I'm sure he did a deep dive before posting this video. I'm ready to start implementing the protocol I just want to make sure I do it correctly and safely because these are fat soluble vitamins. BTW I just turned 60 years young. Looking forward to your reply
@@MarshalGerman-sc6bc 10,000UIs not 100,000UIs. I have been taking it as general supplementation, not for a specific medical reason. I only stated this as an observation and I am not advising anyone to take it !
@@MarshalGerman-sc6bc make sure that you are not taking too much vitamins k2. I just found out yesterday from a holistic doctor that too much can cause bruising. My sister was bruising easily and that was the discussion about her nutritional supplements.
I agree! I sometimes wonder how he takes care of his farm (because as a little girl growing up on one I remember it being A LOT of hard work) when he is researching and making all these videos to help everyone. Or even have time for fun, but I guess he makes enough money he can hire some help maybe. I for one am grateful because I didn't know some of the vitamins he's mentioned over the years even existed 😅. Like K2 when I started (I heard of potassium but not k2) and tuddca (I'm not sure I spelled it right & I forgot what it's for, but I remember after a video that I need it). There are a few others, so I'm happy to learn and find which one's I truly need. 🙏❤
while I appreciate him also, actually no... nobel's are given for ORIGINAL research or techniques. Dr Berg is a good researcher of already written research and practices
No Nobel Prize is awarded for already researched methods. What he needs to change is to stop being so clinical and talk Everyday People vocabulary terms !
This doctor needs to be cloned and put into every medical school to re-educate doctors with correct information about health. He is brilliant, and a gem of a person to anyone with common sense about how to improve their health in a sustained way. I just love learning from his simple to understand videos. I respect this man immensely. 🙏🙏🙏
From France, and very sorry for my poor English ! I do agree with your message. What I loved in this special video ? He told to wait a little, to let body cope with this therapy. That is the real thing I did so, about 30 years ago, when a doctor asked me to take LEVOTHYROX. I took an alternative therapy (I forgot what !) then let my body do what it thought the better for me. Six months later, a blood test, everything was in order. The doctor asked : Fine !j how many Levothyrox do you take ? None, doctor, I merely let my body care for me... Have a nice week, Johana !
Re-educate? Every single doctor gets maybe 10 days of nutritional study in medical school. It’s insanity. I appreciate Dr. Berg. I have studied nutrition as a hobby since I was in high school, still, with every video he drops, I always learn more from Dr. Eric Berg.
Didnt lose your take on vit d and glacoma but i couldnt get to the end of it. It kept splicing back to the last few minutess. Whats going on? Is this part of the ban of non medical advise?
At age 60 I took 50,000 IUs vita D3 a day WITH double daily dose of vita K2-M4 (for heart) & K2-M7 (for arteries) AND Magnesium oxide or you will become constipated from the excess calcium on its way out. Then after a few weeks when I began to smell it means your body has reached saturation point. I reduced my dose to 1000 IUs D3 once a or week depending on my bodies reaction. ALL my autoimmune, pre-diabetes, eye pressure and gut issues are reversing and vanishing. My mitochondria and weight is slowly returning to normal. Calcium is very alkalising so if your feeling a little nauseous stop taking the D3 for a couple of weeks, but continue to taking double doses of K2-M7 and Magnesium oxide until this subsides and the smell stops, then resume 1000IUs vita D3 once a day. Both magnesium and K2 must always be taken with vitamin D3. Even if you don't take D3 vitamin K2-M7 & Magnesium taurate or citrate must be taken non-stop to prevent arterial sclerosis as the sun will create D3 in the body. 1 hour in the sun everyday for a week is equivalent to 20,000 IUs of Vitamin D, depending on your age and skin colour. Best Magnesium for autoimmune health is Magnesium Taurate.

My dad’s best friend had glaucoma in the last ten years of his life. He was just the sweetest man and it stopped him being able to play golf his most favorite pastime. He never complained once but I could see his suffering bless his heart. Thank you Dr Berg.Wish I had known about this then.
I was diagnosed 10 years ago. I took the eye drops for a few years before I went for the laser treatment. Best thing I ever did. Took 5 minutes and has lasted 6 years without problems. Highly recommend it.
I would add only one thing. If you need to get the calcium out of the blood and into the bones, you need a sprinkle of boron once in a while. Trace levels. A pinch mixed into some water will do. Almost nobody will talk about boron. It's an amazing element. ❤
@@thediplomasta5891 Exaxtly the extras I take as well. I was told NOT to take calcium with my D3 because it goes into the blood stream and can cause heart problems whereas with K2, it goes into your bones!
It’s what everyone was lacking during Covid, if everyone took vitamin D instead of waiting one year for a vaccine, then the pandemic would have lasted 6 months not 3 years.
I suffered from age 34 to age 69 with severe bipolar! Then LAST AUG. 2023, an artist friend of mine who is also bipolar said: "Nancy, get vitamin B12 with methylcobalamin" Since last Auguste, zero symptoms, I quit smoking cigarettes and had NO withdrawals and have dropped 2 of the harsh antidepressants that were giving me a host of other problems!

I work as an Optometrist in an eye clinic : please, when you try this high vitamine D dose for glaucoma, use your eye drops and go to your checkups ! Glaucoma can cause loss of visual field when your eye pressure is too high. IF your eye pressure will lower, you can ask your eye doctor to stop with eye drops to see if your eye pressure stay low enough. And keep your checkups !
I have glaucoma, I started taking CoQ10 with omega 3s last fall. 3 months later I had my checkup with the eye specialist and I had my lowest pressure readings since I have been seeing him, about 8 years.
I'm on glaucoma watch and using eye drops for eye pressure. I've watched so many of your videos that talk about vit D being the answer. I've already been diagnosed with a vit D deficiency, but after watching your videos, I realize I need more than my dr. put me on. Thank you so much for everything you do.
I can tell you that if your sister has Hashimoto thyroid disease- an autoimmune disease- it will go away after mega doses of vit d then 30k a day- just did that myself after 35 years w vit k2 and mag
My friend went to her doctor and that was the first thing he told her…to take vitamin D. I was already on it and I was the only one in my family who never got Covid.
Thank you Dr. Berg for this amazing video. My mother has Glaucoma, her doctor prescribed for her three kinds of eye drops, which she needs to apply five times a day…she is persistant, she never forgets to apply her eyedrops…despite that sometimes her eye pressure goes up…But, when she is in the sun working in her garden her eye pressure goes down, it is fascinating…we are taking your D3&k2 double dosage most of the days…your B1 & Magnesium….thank you Dr. Berg for your hard work.

Is there a couple tjhings that i should concentrate on to fix this after years of trial and error. More zinc ? Im your biggest fan
I live in a sunny place and I am still deficient. I do have multiple autoimmune disorders and supplement with D3 but everytime I am tested, I am still at 40 or even lower, and lower is much of the time. I should take more then. I was just diagnosed with narrow angle glaucoma. I don’t like that. My eyes are so sensitive to light it makes my head hurt. My sight was 20/10 before my diseases reared their heads and my vision has steadily gone down over the course of a couple of years. Now I am at 20/40 vision. I’m on meat heavy keto. I consume no nightshade, grains or processed food stuffs ever. I am doing all I can to adapt and overcome and hoping and praying I can manage to at least go into remission and help keep myself from going blind. Good luck to anyone experiencing such problems with low vitamin d. Though not getting enough from your diet and not staying out in the sun long enough are some causes of deficiency, if you notice that you eat plenty of food sources with Vit D and you do spend time outdoors and you’re still too low, supplementing may be your only choice until whatever is causing the deficiency is corrected. Disease is a big red flag and you should not ignore it, nor allow your physicians to ignore it. Vitamin d does so many important jobs in your body that you can’t afford to remain in a deficiency status. Be well and pay close attention to what your body is showing you and telling you and address these issues right away. Don’t allow serious deficiencies to create bigger problems because it is hard to come back from that once it has become advanced. Bothersome enough in the early stages too.
Considering all you are facing which I do hope you are able to reverse you Mr post is mostly addressing your concern for others So with that I do hope that you find a way to better eye heslth fast Keep on figuring it out You will find the right solution I’m sure You’re here doing it Best of luck to you
@@garyr1934 I am trying and as I try, I am sharing what I find out with others who might be struggling too. I don’t want anyone to be ill if there is something that can be done to prevent it or to reverse it. And in those numbers are also our children who are now suffering issues that they didn’t used to ever encounter before. I was in a healthcare career before my own illness ended it. I went into it because I do care. Though I can no longer work in my chosen field, it will not stop me from caring and helping if I can. Vitamin and mineral deficiencies are growing quite chronic and common in all ages and this is a major cause for a very large increase in the deterioration of health leading to bigger problems system wide. Also alarming are the environmental causations which lead to many deficiencies. We need more than the RDA of most everything these days it seems because more toxins are being introduced into our environment by way of pesticides etc making their way into our bodies via food, air and water. They interrupt the natural processes in our bodies and leave us vulnerable to disease and disorder. All I do daily is research how these things interfere with specific nutrients, trace minerals and enzymatic and chemical processes that must take place in order for us to maintain good health status. Cellular and mitochondrial health is very important and it is concerning that we now need more than what the RDA is and that it is not being addressed by the so called authorities of health. It s alarmingly suspicious to me.

Thanks so much for this information…..my Dad was taking eye drops for glaucoma in the last few years of his life (he passed away aged 89), so my optician always keeps a check on this condition. I’ve been taking Vitamin D on and off for a few years but I’ll be making sure I get back to taking it regularly again from now on.
Take it consistently, but vary the dosage. Dr. Berg did another clip a few weeks ago about how varying the dosage is a good thing for the body. If it gets the same amount every day, the body builds up a tolerance and it isn't as effective. I think varying the dosage, results in the body not anticipating the same amount every day. It mimics vit D3 natural exposure rates.
I had steroid induced glaucoma, oddly enough..from steroid eye drops used to treat an eye infection. I suddenly lost the vision in the center of my eyes and was seeing lightning bolts in my vision everywhere. I went directly to the eye doctor and my eye pressure was 67 ( they were in complete shock).. they had me stop the eye drops and they prescribed a drop to lower my eye pressure. I went back the next day and my pressure was back to 14. I have had no problems since and have not taken the steroid drops in years.
@DJRenee YES... since then, i have used colloidal silver for many things.. especially eye problems...it works wonders!!! But it turns out my constant eye infections were caused by eating peanut butter and it took about 10 years to finally figure it out! I figured it out by fasting.... every time I fasted a few days the infections cleared up.. and we finally found out peanut butter and black tea were somehow giving me SEVERE eye infections.
I have glaucoma, I would NEVER eat meat. Dead animals is going to cure my glaucoma. |Now I have heard it all. Everyone who doesn't have glaucoma has a cure. internet doctors scare me, doctor oz, doctor phil. Why can't they sstart practices instead of being oprah and trumps colon dwellers.
Or it could be food oils. That’s what is thought to correlate with pigment dispersion, where microscopic flakes spall off from the iris and float around in the ocular fluid until they jam in the angular ducts that regulate eyeball pressure and cause eyeball pressure to spike. At least, that’s one of the major types of glaucoma.
Bilberry is also great for eye issues. I have macular degeneration and my pressure got high in both eyes. My homeopathic opthamologist told me to start walking more which I did. I also started with an additional supplement with Bilberry.

Dr. Annette Bozworth has a RU-vid video on Vitamin D resistance. Her father had a severe case, which she says is common in older people. Her remedy is to go to a tanning salon and use the B light. This according to her it reactivates the Vitamin D receptors in older people. apparently he needed about 10 treatments to restore his vitamin D receptors to normal. My understanding is, that it is illegal for tanning salons to advertise this and that they could be fined as much as $10,000 dollars for telling their customers that this works. The drug companies at work again, preventing alternative solutions ?
I know of two people who on separate occasions were driving their cars and were rear-ended. They both had whip-lash and later were diagnosed with glaucoma.
There are many different types of glaucoma , open angle , acute , congential, secondary to may other reasons such as medications , trauma, cataract surgery....I believe vit d would help for many reasons.. some of the drops help control the amount of aqueus productions and pupil size to allow the outflow to move thru to eliminate the build up of pressure.. i find it interesting that vit D helps ....but it doesnt surprise me....
I work in an eye clinic. Risk factors are family Hx of Glaucoma, High blood pressure, diabetes, eye surgeries, injury or trauma to the eyes, medication like steroids. Can cause Glaucoma, also to add there are different types of Glaucoma. Goodthing is we have treatments for it now surgeries or eye drops to lower the pressure of the eye. If caught early treatment can prevent further damage to the optic nerve

It's NOT calcium. I was reading about a condition called Chondrosarcoma the other day. I couldn't help but wonder if these diseases are really what "they" say they are, or is a lot of this just simply calcification of the body. Yes, too much sugar, yes cellular toxicity from glyphosate and other toxic exposure ruining glycine and collagen production, inflammation etc. Calcification needs much more looking into as a possible cause of the symptoms "they" call diseases 😐 Hope this makes a little sense! Have a great day, y'all! 👊
I agree, so I’ve been reaching this topic from a different perspective. As to what precipitates the calcification? My trail had lead me to believe it’s a byproduct of dysbiosis in the GI tract.
I started taking boron because I have some calcification in thyroid nodules. It's suppose to help calcification (and prevent) calcification in soft tissues. My dads family all have glaucoma so a study was conducted ( in Detroit) and all family members included. The results indicated glaucoma hits every second generation. I'm 65yrs, went to a naturalist years ago because of gestational diabetes. He told me to take Brewers yeast everyday for the rest of my life (and blackstrap molasses.....loaded with minerals and low glycemic). The yeast has chromium that prevents diabetes and glaucoma. I recently learned from a study out of Michigan that the yeast makes IgA in the mucosal airway which prevents viruses from invading the immune system. I haven't had a cold in 14yrs. I work at a care home and didn't get covid. The yeast also has all the B vitamins except B12. Health is Wealth. May you be rich all your life.
Lack of K2 (grassfed butter) pkus low D causes the calcifications. Need both and D needs K2 and retinol A plus mg and even some copper to work properly.
@BNC593you know there’s a tanning bed you can try, and it helps raise your D3 levels if yours are significantly low. It was a Dr trying to help her father with severely low D3 levels. I thought this was very interesting
I've been using Red Light for the past 4 months; no halos nor crazy kaleidoscopes since beginning using it. Used to get it at least once a week too. I did try high dose Vit D (yes, with Vit K) no difference to any problem I had. In my 70's now and began getting the usual aches and pains. What I have found to really work for me is Omega 3's (algae), and GlyNac. I also use Naturelo vit/min supplement. However, I do attribute the Red Light to have done the trick with the increasing Glaucoma episodes, which would last around 45 minutes towards the end.
Dr. Berg THANK YOU for your wisdom! I was diagnostic with Open Angle Glaucoma at age 14 years old. Through out my life I have had 12 Glaucoma surgeries and today at age 63 years of age, I have vision in ONE EYE and that’s with very small peripheral vision. I started taking 40 mg of vitiate D and was told by the doctor that the amount is far to high. I will ADD MORE vitamin D to my diet and see if if makes a difference. Thanks kindly!
A friend of mine works in the ophthalmology field and she told me only last week that there is actually no clear cut data to show that high eye pressure such as I have causes glaucoma and that in fact the data all points towards it running in families i.e. it is a genetic disposition rather than high eye pressure that causes the damage.
Glaucoma is in my family, my dear old grandad had his eyes removed because of it when he was in his early forties. Thankfully he was an exceptionally gifted and talented man and didn’t let it get in the way of the many things he enjoyed doing.

The surgery really is a very efficient procedure. Nowadays you go in to the clinic in the morning and are out by the afternoon, abd apart from. A little eye sensitivity and as long as you use the eyrdrood they give you, there are no side effects except for improved vision. Also they will only do one eye At a time. Both my father and my husband have undergone these procedures and are very pleased with the results.
I just had cataract surgery a week apart per eye. My eye sight now is wonderful. Didn’t realize how blind I was. The brightness & beautiful colors are amazing. No need for glasses to drive, just closeup readers.

I use Glaucoma eyedrops daily but I supplement with doses of Nicotinamide, astaxanthin, lutein and zeanthin. I have also been taking vitamin D and K2 for years.
Curious are you on a low dosage? I know he's mentioning high dosage maybe that's the key? Have you had your levels checked? I asked because I know even after my mom took prescription vitamin D her levels were still low when they checked her it was as if she took nothing.
I have glaucoma at age 28. And I react to steroids, I have to avoid them because after an eye surgery, it spiked my glaucoma and I’ve been on 2 drops. 😟 Glad I’ve recently started your D3 supplements! 😊🙌🏼
please look into studies on nicotinamide being one thing that might actually help reverse damage, not just hold it steady etc. and speak about that. (I am not saying to give up drops. )
