My mom was pregnant with me at a Metallica concert and almost got caught in a mosh so security rushed her under the stage for protection. She got to meet the band backstage after that. 21 years later I took my girlfriend that was pregnant with my daughter to see them.

Ecstasy of Gold has been used as a show intro by Metallica since 1983. Out of the 14 Metallica shows I've personally been to starting February 10th 1989 and the latest being July 9th 2017 there is only one I can think of that they did not use it. That was summer 1994 Florida State Fairgrounds when came out to Thin Lizzy's The Boys Are Back In Town. Metallica has also recorded their own version of Ecstasy of Gold. Pretty cool. You should check it out!

Hi Ron yeah saw them year after in the UK in London at the Lyceum I traveled 625 miles from the highlands in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 then ride the lightning tour in 85 at Monsters of Rock at Donnington park I think they were on 3rd on the list after Ratt and Magnum then it was Bon Jovi and a great Scottish band called Marillion and ZZTop headlined

Jean Michael Jarre had a larger concert in Paris a year before this with 2.5 mil and a few years after this show in Brasil with over 3.5 mil people but the significance of this monsters of rock show in Moscow was huge.
