@@teruru7785 And Fritz, if you get the notification: So basically, the little girl was killed when she lost her book her older brother gave her during a flooding or storm, I believe. She said she was asleep for a very long time whilst trying to protect the book, and when she woke up, there was no one left. That's when we find her. We do her quest to find her book, and she disappears after we fail to find the book. From what I can remember. It's been a bit. Her brother is still alive. I think he's in the village with the old people and farmland. Quiche Village??? He's an old man, and he does mention her if you talk to him. I haven't been able to find him yet since I haven't had the time. I overlooked the article and haven't really rechecked it, but you can find him if you search him up on the wiki.

The German word for 'soul' is 'Seele', so when I see the word Seelie, it definitely feels like there's a connection there. I think having those two Seelies there was definitely meant to invoke that idea of them being the parents :) That said, one of the random loading screen messages specifically mentions that they are an ancient race that used to guide humanity but has lost their forms and powers and now just reward adventurers who follow them with small treasures (which strongly alludes to the British fairies called seely instead of being actual human souls), so by definition they can't be the parents, but I still prefer that interpretation because it's sweeter than just two random fairies living there 😉

It is strongly implied that the two seeli's are his parents. The Chinese word for Seeli's are actually lost souls. The mum that died at home so hovers over the tomb stone and the father that is located on the way back to liyue and both go back to the entrance of the house. There's a book you can read near the house which explains all that happens in more detail. Pretty dark.
