I'm not massively interested in designer brands Sophie, but I just stumbled upon your content a few months ago and I do enjoy listening to your insight into the industry. You are such a lovely kind being - it really shines through. Much Love! x
Love the longer Dior skirt on you and i think you nail them both!!! Can you do a video regarding designer ready to wear. I'm not sure if they are actually worth the money. I can justify spending that kind of money on slg or a bag that I can have for ever but im not sure if clothes are worthy. I would really appreciate a video dedicated on the matter. Thanks in advance! Lots of love
I love the Dior skirts, the first one almost looks like a Japanese school skirt. Ooh, I also love the trousers you got 💖 My goodness me, I almost liked the glittery Chanel pullover until you said the price. I love watching your mailtime, I still watch your older videos when I need inspiration/ motivation. I wish you, David, the cute bunnies, and everyone in the comments a lovely week!
It’s great to speak to you here as always and such a sweet message! Yes I agree, I love the styling and whilst it feels a bit “educational”, I’m kinda ok with that! I hope you have the nicest rest of the week. Hugs❤️❤️
Hello Sophie! It’s been a long, difficult day but I passed my exam! And this is of course the cherry on top! Love your shopping vlogs! Finally the new dior collection looks good after a long time of there being nothing interesting ! I love both the long and short skirts and think they both have a time and place. The long one looks really elegant and could be dressed for work or even for a nice dinner or night out. And yes that Chanel logo was ginormous 😂. Thanks as always Sophie! ❤️
Another great video! Can you do a video about your own personal style and how to choose pieces that go with an overall vibe? I feel like my closet has no direction. It's all over the place.
The Dior skirts looked so cute on you, I actually really liked the longer one and thought it looked so sweet and ladylike! But I personally prefer knee-length or just above, I think the one you ended up with is still very cute and very you. Thought I'd also raise my hand as someone who still is wearing heels! Somehow the lockdowns had the opposite effect on me and even though I mostly wore flats throughout - grocery shopping and walking the dog were my primary "going out" activities - all I wanted to wear were heels since I didn't really get to much. I did a bit too much online shoe-shopping in the last couple years, and I've been loving wearing all my beautiful heels out now that there are places to go again!
You are right about the heels. Previously I used to dress up for work, I work in corporate. Had matching heels with all my outfits, even on fridays. And now we go to office once a week and everyone is wearing sneakers, i too don’t feel like making an effort and just be comfy, there are hardly any people around and comfy look with flat shoes or even sneakers feels like a good enough effort.
Completely agree. I found that where I used to work at the University, heels felt like they were being phased out in the years before the pandemic. Although it felt like it wasn’t so much about the effort (we all still wanted to look well presented) but the practicality of running between buildings throughout the day made heels feel a little redundant and out of touch. I’m happy that the ‘ugly’ sneaker phase is coming to an end and I’m very much hoping to find some footwear that has the elegance of heels and the comfort of sneakers....maybe we will be lucky and there are some designers out there ready to revolutionise this part of the fashion industry 😊🤞🌸
I love the jumper and the skirt on you!! And the short skirt with the lace! So gorgeous! I love the outfits you got! The outfit with the leather jacket and skirt with tights is my favorite! Love it!💗
Absolutely loved the 2 jumpers & the other items that you selected Sophie - such a treat to see! Thank you to you & David for sharing your shopping & car trips. Greetings from Durban, South Africa 🇿🇦
Sending love from Macarthur, Australia 🇦🇺😊🌸. I loved the jumpers too, although I’m always worried about jumpers on my hourglass frame as I can look a little boxy lol. Hope you’re having a lovely afternoon too I always appreciate these videos
Omg Enrique looks gorgeous, I have no idea what he does with his skin but like wow 😊 definitely wishing I could get that glow 😊😊😊. Please also pass on my sincerest appreciation for all the styling efforts he does for us 🌸
I adore that skirt with lace details on you Sophie! This collection is out in New Zealand today so I can't wait to go check it out! Also OMG when you show the buildings in London, my heart... ❤ the obsession is real!!
You got some really nice Dior pieces. Especially the trousers looks really nice on you. Always wonderful to see a little of Harrods and surroundings. 👍
Knitting is therapeutic and you don't have to follow a pattern- just practice stitches, unravel if you don't like and start again:) Carolina Herrera has some stunning crochet and knit pieces this season in very large stitches- dresses- stunning:) Love the slacks- do they have a pleat? The little pleat skirt mini is beautifully made- it looks very neat and slimming. Gorgeous with a polo and long boots too.
Watching this on Friday afternoon as I munch through a homemade chocolate brownie. As always I am thoroughly enjoying your blog, so a big thank you Sophie. I have to say I’m also guilty of rarely wearing heels these days and I too attribute that to lockdown and I’m really annoyed with myself about that.
I adored the skirt you bought, and the trousers too! They both looked incredible on you! I’d love to try them on, but unfortunately there’s no store close to me and I cannot bring myself to buy them online without seeing them in person. Much love❤️
Omg for me, those skirts look exactly like my old school uniform of 12 years! You look great in all of it! I'll never wear that skirt no matter what name it is!😅
I loved this vlog thank you for sharing Sophie! I feel that the skirts from Dior and a lot of ready wear just don't look special enough to warrant the price tag. Quality pieces replicating the styles can be easily found at affordable prices. Especially the chanel pullovers... Those I feel don't warrant the price at all XD just my thoughts. x
I really like the skirt! I can see how the skirt would look school girlish with sneakers. I think you could also pull it off with the right boots too. Very true about outlet offerings. I always ask for the items that came from the boutique. I will say some brands have gotten better with their factory bags. You have to pay attention to the details. I was looking at Launer last year. Aren’t their bags still handmade? I would purchase one too!
The long Dior skirt fit you very well, it was really classy. Just last Sunday I was at Harrod's, apart from the wonderful long evening dresses (but on what occasion could I ever wear them?!), I didn't see anything that caught my attention... Maybe because now we are bombed by advertising, instagram, youtube, everything seems to me to have already been seen and a product tires me even before I buy it. Now I feel attracted to exclusive things, which however are for the most part not very affordable... A Launer bag would be a really nice purchase, here in Italy practically nobody knows that brand, it would be something unique and valuable... Sophie, maybe you could talk about it in one of your videos 😘
How was your trip?! Did you have a lovely time? I hope so, and I don’t think it rained which helps 😅 I know exactly what you mean about what has been in stock recently. And the gowns (whilst beautiful) are not practical of course. Launer is such a beautiful brand, yes I should talk about this xx
Hi beautiful sophie I hope you and david are well babe it's so lovely to see you again thanks so much for sharing your lovely luxourious vlog have lovely time shopping stay safe xxx
you look great in all the clothes. Both the grey skirts remind me of my high school uniform. we had grey pleated skirts haha. I would pass on that but you pull it off. I do like the shorter one better than the long one, i loved the jacket, if you wore it with jeans it would be cute.
I actually preferred the longer skirt on you. I think the shorter one definitely looked better when you put on the heels and the jacket I could imagine something more. With the jumper and the sneakers....you just looked like an older cheerleader. Yay go Team Dior! ;)
I've only watched it to the 9 min part so far and got too excited, I love how the Dior skirts look on you!! The leggings weren't bad, but I know that's not your style. Pairing it with boots and trainers will definitely give it a more edgy look which is always nice (and comfortable!). Gave me boss lady, badass vibes
Hi Sophie, can’t wait to watch this when I get home. I was out for some very un-luxury as I have a wedding coming up soon. Especially excited to watch as my parents want to goto London soon to shop (€30 flights lol) and want time to come to show them around. It’s actually cheaper to visit on dates we checked than staying in Dublin plus the flight is local so saves on petrol
Thanks so much for your video. Your content is fantastic and the team of SA you work with gives such a realistic opportunity to experience luxury and styling
Hi Sophie I’m a store manager in luxury as well in Zurich! I woul wear the grey skirt with some electric color like fucsia/pink so it will give you a fresh modern look! Then the trouser I would wear it with a slim fit t-shirt and with a cross body bag instead of the saddle! ❤ 😘 have a nice day and an amazing week end!
Your so sweet ! And a inspiration to all us that are luxury junkies. Thanks for the hard work and keeping me informed on all aspects of luxury buying appreciate your blogs very much !!!
I have been waiting for someone to talk about Launer! I really thought The Queen was carrying older Kelly’s until I did the research and that is where I discovered Launer. Queen Elizabeth is absolutely iconic and funny story-I was driving home and saw a white panel van with a large picture of her on one of the back windows! The driver was a young woman covered with tattoos jamming to Metallica and I just had to laugh-this was yesterday.
