The quality of your reactions to the tracks as a whole are second to none. I love how nf dosent just say "your not alone there's other people like you" and instead says "there are people just like me AND you" and hes not isolating himself from "millions of us just like you" US talking about him and someone. that small difference makes everything (Edit: I recommend slip by elliot moss, it's a good song and I think youd like it :) )

I had no idea who NF was until, in 2016 I was playing Madden 2016 and kept hearing a song in the menu background that I was loving. I looked it up and NF-Intro 1, loved NF ever since. Great reactions and insight on the the lyrics.

The last chorus is the most unifying heartfelt moment. Only Nate could take such a seeming “cheesy” cliche, but make it sound so so honest and genuine #nffamily

I don't think NF is saying to set emotions aside, but rather you don't let your emotions overrule your intellect. The intellect and emotions should be held in healthy tension and give the nod to the intellect because emotions can tend to cloud clear thinking. So, it's listening to both, but have them ordered right. At least that is how I take it.

@@testimusicali6445 It's the only tattoo I have (so far) because of the meaning. A semicolon ; means something continues, it's not over yet, just a pause (or bump in the road). Project Semicolon was started by a young woman, Amy Bleuel, whose father had committed suicide in 2013. She struggled with mental illness as well. Sadly, she also committed suicide four years after her father... just a short while after a group of seven of us went and got our tattoos. One got a butterfly and another had it intertwined with her sons names, my son got his as the eyes of a skull because he really likes skulls... It basically means (to us) that no matter what life brings, we are choosing to keep going.

I personally think it’s a combination between emotion and logic. I feel that people utilize God (or whatever deity someone of any religion idolizes) for an emotional moral compass and that is what helps keep emotions and logic in synchronicity. It’s the moral compass of a person’s internal thought process that keeps them in line.
