Yay! So glad you enjoyed it. 🙂 The instruments are the vargan (jaw harp) and the two stringed instrument is a Khomys. Yes.... I looked it up . Thank you for this!
The similarity between Siberian native music and a lot of North American Indian music shows why it's not unreasonable to theorize how the ancestors of Native Americans crossed over from Siberia thousands of years ago. The relationship is deep.

I love this group. Another video of theirs to check out is “Phenomenon.” I’ve heard some of their live shows and it’s roughly pronounced Oh-tau-ken. 😊 Azyan, the singer has an exceptional voice! I’m really into traditional music and instruments fused with modern instruments or even classical orchestras. I actually compose quite a bit of these fusions. Here are some bands to check out. The Hu Wagakki Band Heilung Deloraine Some older groups are Hednigarna and Afro Celt Sound System.
I have another recommendation for you on your fearless journey to international music. The Hu, a mongolian rock band who combine traditional mongol instruments (like the Morin khuur and Tovshuur both which I absolutely love the sound of and are also featured in Otyken with a slight variation) with modern rock instruments and mongolian throat singing. They performed at Hellfest 2023 and you can find that gig in good quality on RU-vid. Many great songs like Black Thunder, Tatar Warrior, Yuve Yuve Yu (which was the first song I ever heard from them and fell in love with) and Wolf Totem, among others.
They are out of Siberia, The throat singer is the only one who has received professional training, the rest are self taught. They practice in between their daily chores around their village. The sanctions place on Russia has prevented them from performing on America has talent, the sanctions also hit them hard in the wallet and they have not been able to tour for the past two years.
Yo this is Spiritual music for them that's why one man starts praying and if you look in the background you can see a Witch Doctor with some branches in his hands and shaking them! This music speaks to all because it deals with the spirits it is not your regular normal music it is something else!🤔
I love this band. Storm is likely my favorite but Genesis is damn good too. 🤘❤️🔥🤘 They swept through Europe a few years ago becoming quite popular.👍🌹👍Glad you enjoyed. 🥰🥰 Best wishes from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦
I love Otyken. They are just so out the gate and can have created such a incredible mash up of awesomeness! If your interested in more cultural mash up check out Stan Walker 'I Am'. He's from Aotearoa (New Zealand). Very different from Otyken though. The song is from the movie Origin
Heh, nice 😁 Kind of reminds of one of the Finnish native Sámi heavy metal bands from Lappland, i.e. the Somby: "Where the f#ck is Vuotso" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8KsroV3kiEk.html
I'm so glad people is listening to Otyken already, another song you should react to is "My Wing", "Legend", "Genesis" is a must, any way, you get my point, start filling your ears with something totally different and try to be open minded about this, you'll love it, guaranteed!!
