This Was Inevitable 

Nazuna's (and Henya's) designer here. It was an absolute joy to have worked with her on her VShojo arc, and while I am sad to see that come to an end, I wish her all the best in her future endeavors. While it may have been short-lived, I'm proud of the work that was put into Nazuna's debut and am thankful for the opportunities that have arisen after that. ꒰ঌ(っ^ω^ｃ)໒꒱🍭

I heard the talent behind Nazuna got a job as a Voice Actor, so it's no surprise she's moving on.

To be honest, I forgot that Nazuna was part of VShojo in the first place. But I'm glad that she'll be continuing as an independent. But as for Mika, I nearly cried during her graduation.

This is about as peaceful as graduations get. She only joined in the first place because she left her previous job unexpectedly, and still wanted to be part of something. She seems to be doing very well now, and Vshojo's JP branch seems abandoned anyway, so, no reason to stick around.

Hajime is so non-existent rev straight up called her "Syndsnap's model" 😭

It was bound to happen to Nazuna. With her rise as Mineneko, she was going to be leaving eventually.

Inevitable as it was, at the very least it’s peaceful and seems there’s no bad blood. Also glad to see Henya was correct where even VShojo original talents will keep their IPs. Also thank you to Mikeneko/Nazuna for Sodalicious.

Vshojo really did nothing with Nazuna and a pink haired cat girl who sounds just like her was getting far more traction anyway. It was honestly a matter of time when she bounced, although it’s disappointing to see Vshojo JP not come to fruition

This is the nicest graduation ever, no drama, not nothing. Also w for vshojo for letting her keep that nazuna persona.

Mikeneko is incursioning in voice acting. She joined voiceore and ponycanyon. Makes sense she finishes her contract with Vshojo since she has other priorities now.

Vshojo never had a strong plan to expand into JP. Having Kson and Nazuna doesn’t really make a JP presence since Kson streams mostly in English, as does Henya. So there was no real way for Nazuna to collab with the rest of the company and appeal to their EN audiences.

No bad blood, no sniping, if anything it reflects well on VShojo and Nazuna.

Yeah this graduation was bound to happen with nazuna being more as mikeneko. Also finally people can stop doubting the vshojo talents when they said when they vshojo let's them everything. Good graduation no drama now wondering what will vshojo do on the jp i see no jp vtubers who would be willing to join vshojo. As for 2024 for vshojo people already speculate selen or mika will join them

Two other things might be worth mentioning. One. The implication was Nazuna and Kson joining was that they'd be part of a "Vshojo JP" push that would include more members than just her and Kson. Right away, however, there weren't any other JP talents, Henya came MUCH later, and even now, Kson and Henya are bilingual. Nazuna is not. This huge communication barrier might leave one to feel a bit alienated. Two. In terms of popularity, RU-vid is much more popular in Japan than Twitch is, and JP independents would have a hell of a time starting up there compared to RU-vid. Why she didn't do what Kson did and just stream wherever she wants to? Maybe there was some platform exclusivity in her contract, requiring her to be Nazuna on Twitch, and allowing her to remain Mikeneko on RU-vid. I don't know. But I could definitely see it as a factor, in either case.

And because she was part of vshojo this is a non issue. Allowing talent to move on without excessive and needless drama is a good thing.

I sometimes forget, that she was apart of Vshojo since she barely interacted with the other girls, but then again she is part of the JP branch Sad to see it, but at the same time this is why I prefer Vshojo because she gets to keep all the IP and just "Move onto her next journey" Ill always respect Vshojo for giving respect to there talent and not just saying "No that character is now Donzo"

I hope she adapts the nazuna ip into lore or whatever It was a good model

Slow news day, she's been focusing on Mikeneko and wasn't really using Nazuna at all. Not a big deal. I hope she gets the help she needs for that parasocial need for validation but otherwise godspeed, little lady. o7

Nazuna made a lot of sense to me at first. With her being terminated for a contract violation I honestly doubted she’d be able to cut her way with any Japanese corporations given the culture there, so Vshoujo seemed like the perfect support net for her at the time. Unfortunately VShoujo JP never coalesced into anything due to the only other associated talents being able to speak English for the company’s already existing English speaking audience leaving it on her alone to try and build a JP exclusive audience. And surprisingly she proved she could find career success in Japan still despite her history, which allowed her to stand more independently in Vtubing. Didn’t think it would turn out this way, but regardless I hope for the best for her going forward.

The situation always seemed strange, you'd expect that part of her contract for Vshojo would include not streaming with her other account or something like that because this was bound to happen, but hey they at least deserve some recognition for not ending the contract in a public drama.

Vshojo has been very good at getting talent to get a boost and then move on to their own creativity. If that's the position they want in the space, more power to them.

I'll be honest, I was not aware of Nazuna before this, I thought that Rushia had just gone straight to Mikeneko.

I’m more directed towards the girl behind Nazuna and Mikeneko, knowing she’s not, mentally sound and frail in tough choices. I know full well Kson knows that girl, I just hope she can learn from her mistakes.

The problem were the fans (especially Mafumafus fans, her own were a minority, stop spreading misinformation, she had no problems with her fans the entire time she was Rushia in Cover, it had nothing to do with her fans or her GFE, heck the same but less severe drama happened to Suisei who had neither of those) going nuts to a life threathening degree (dozens of death threats, damaged merch and a damaged bus with her face on it, which implies pretty much that they wanted to physically harm her). The NDA break for sure is a big deal, however I dont think Holo was completely honest either, especially when they stated in their termination statement that they got nonexistent reputational damage (she was mostly the reason along with other members why they got one in the first place), because of her which was a big lie. Its honestly hard for me to believe that a 2, 7 years associated talent reach and vent out to outside help instead towards her colleagues and company, if there wasnt any big problems behind the scenes in Cover, that could explain this lack of trust. Its easy to say she is mentally ill to absolve Cover from any blame (what many people forget is, that we dont know the vtubers personnaly, just because Rushia was very open with her mental struggles doesnt mean the other talents doesnt have issues, which they dont show on screen however. According (if this Korekore is to be believed) she also reached out to him about bullying going on within the company, which is also worth mentioning). So while I have no problem of her firing but the way Cover acted was very hostile, to a point they supported a cyberbullying campaign against Rushia with that (which hasnt stopped), their unwilingness to admit their own mistakes by basically stating they did nothing wrong (unlike Rushia) and that Mike had to be incredibly vague doesnt sit right with me either. If Cover really thinks they did everything right in that situation then they could have let her speak out freely about why she did what she did, what happened behind the scenes etc. but instead she could only say this, which pretty much implies legal pressure. We saw what happened in the Zaion situation, not everything is black and wite.

Just yesterday I remembered Nazuna even existed and started I to wonder what happened.. Her announcement was so hyped back then

I think, where the Kson misunderstanding is concerned, is that when Kson was announced to be joining Vshojo they said she would be helping them establish their Japan-based streamers. That implies a degree of hands-on managerial activity, but it turns out she is more of a mascot for Vshojo within the country.

The writing for Nazuna leaving was on the walls for months since she was more active on her old account a lot more than on Nazuna, good for her, being in VJ was what she needed at that time, now it is time to move on and grow bigger again.

It’s honestly not that surprising Nazuna’s graduating very soon especially considering how inactive she’s been since her debut at VShojo. I see some people in comments stating things which to me are adjacent to the idea of group loyalty. Nazuna being nazuna is a business decision, her joining Vshojo is a business decision, and her leaving is also a business decision. She is currently a VA and it is likely that her time as a VA would eliminate any chane for her to stream, except for when she is not in the studio as a VA. Let's not think it was any other decision. By the way this applies to everyone else, be it Matara, Kuro, Geega, or Henya. They all made business decisions regarding joining Vshojo and will eventually make one to leave it as well, sometime down the line.

I promise this isn't to sound cruel or heartless, but I'm starting to get to the point where I don't really feel much when these happen with her anymore just because it happens so often lmao

I hope that she finds success in her next endeavors and I wonder what roles that she will get.

Not surprised to see her move on. Been watching a lot on her Personal Channel, and it was pretty clear that she was looking for an Independent career and when she also joined those two other Agencies it was pretty clear when the announcement came that it was her own decision and that's she's going indie. Looking forward to more streams from Mikeneko and gonna be fun to see what she decides to do with her Nazuna model

I keep forgetting Nazuna is Rushia, even more that she was in Vshojo to begin with - she never co-operated with the Vshojo talents that I see daily as they stream in English, Matara, Zentreya, Henya (counts as she's bi-lingual) Ironmouse and so on. This is the best way things can end really. No real drama, she keeps her stuff, and indirectly Vshojo simply get's a W - peaceful split and her assets are indeed hers. Indirectly, Niji (and every other agency that does this) takes another L from this, every time they boot someone and take away their models and names.

oh this is crazy. I was just talking about her to my friends who were interested in Vtubing. Cos she's a rare case of someone who could happily stream as an Indie and as a corpo Vtuber. I'm glad she got the opportunities she got I suppose. She didn't deserve what happened when she was Rushia.

Nazuna always felt temporary to me. Vshojo was there when she needed help and now she's moving her career in a different direction.

Vshojo treats their vtuber company as a talent agency so they don't have graduations they just end contracts.

I clicked expecting drama - was pleasantly surprised at how civil it was on both talent and the agency sides.

It's sad to see Nazuna go, but as the saying goes: 'Death is a part of life'. What's got me more worried is Selen. She says she's in Hospital after an accident, but after what happened with Gundo & Zaion a while back, I have a fear that she's been stealth suspended.

You failed to mention that Mikeneko has just recently joined the very important music label PonyCanyon which is a huge deal as alot of major artists such as Kana Hanazawa are apart of. Not even members of Hololive could get this type of contract. In fact her Vshojo graduation came coincidentally shortly after she announced this. Also it seems you may have some misinformation about Voice-ore They are not a musical focused company but a voice acting company. Recently Mikeneko has landed a major role in an upcoming isekai anime. It's safe to say Mikeneko has had alot of very recent success through her own efforts.

Well, at least she owns her model and stuff. So there's something positive out of it.

The only thing that im unhappy about with the graduation is we wont get to know the lore that was for nazuna's character. At least i was interested in seeing where it was gonna go.

Not surprised since Nazuna has been busy with her other persona, and seemed to be going all in with going Pro using that persona. I would've been surprised if she could keep up the Nazuna persona while working on all that stuff.

She really lives a harsh life man. From Rushia to mikeneko, then to nazuna and back to mikeneko. In general, I really wish she finds a peaceful point in life where she could just stream and work on what she loves. Life is really ruthless.

Ah, I was wondering why she stopped using Nazuna and started using Mikeneko for everything. Not too surprising. I have to wonder, though, why create the whole Nazuna character in the first place? She could've just as easily joined VShojo as Mikeneko, and now that Nazuna's contract is done, she still gets to keep the IP, so what's going to happen to Nazuna now? Will it be shelved and fated to collect dust, never to be seen again? I figured that if one day Nazuna ever left VShojo, then she'd just keep using that model, but I guess she prefers Mikeneko.

Well I'm really happy for her, being Seiyu was always her dream since before she was rushia, since the days she was streaming on niconico she was saying it and looking to be one, she used to do singing streams and anime voices. Also, ever since Vshojo put that jerk in the group I knew she would leave, luckily she and Kson are still close friends, 2024 looks like it will be a great year for her and I'm happy.

I’ve watched Sydsnap for quite a while now. I had no idea she was with v-sho😂

They just weren't doing a lot with her and the people who would do collabs with her were small in number and basically just kson, but good for her she's doing her own thing and it's been going well for her.

Mikeneko was kind of a unique thing at the time. While she was coming from another VTuber identity, and thus VShojo needed to creste a new identity for her, she already had her identity as Mikeneko. She could have based her new original character on herself (as I believe Kson did to a large extent) but instead she kind of created an IP that turned out to just be temporary. I will miss Nazuna. I thought she had a beautiful design, and she has a lovely voice. But I will have to look into Mikeneko now. I'm interested in seeing what her new character is like, and if Nazuna will make cameo appearances every now and then. . I feel I also have to mention Henya, who came to VShojo under similar circumstances, but who has no public identity to return to, as far as I know. I could see her sticking with the Henya identity should she choose to move on. Not that I am expecting that for many more years. 😂 I do hope Mikeneko can still collab with the VShojo girls occasionally, even if it is as her new identity.

Mikeneko has completed spinning the wheel of fate now. From the top as Rushia and then crashing down to the very bottom, and then pulled back up by Nazuna, and concluding her journey back to the top with Nazuna returning the torch to Mikeneko.

You need a Joe Rogan like podcast to do scripts thru for hours about the things you see in twitter. We need more, we gotta get ya a few other similar channels to get some juicy discussions... Basically you'd be the first podcast I'd seen really super cover the vtuber drama the way you understand it

Yeah i'm glad for nazuna,being non-english speaker in vshojo makes it very difficult to be integrated, now that she got back on her feet she can do her own thing, plus it doesn't mean she'll stop vtubing altogether she just won't be part of Vshojo, and honestly theres even a chance she can even continue to interact with the members.

Vshojo is never a permanent deal, it's to help talents get on their feet and put out feelers to see if its worth doing. I mean you can see the difference with Matara and how surprised she was with how they're helping her so much. With Nazuna, she never left her Mikeneko account, so she was likely putting out feelers to see which worked better. Being a JP Vtuber in an American company, it's understandable why she would stay as Mikeneko only. I wish her all the best.
