I'd actually like to see a teardown of this laptop. I have basically the same laptop and I don't really know how to upgrade laptop RAM.

I was like "This should run Csgo beautifully" Untill I heared 4Gb Ram. I have a way weaker I3-6006u and I get 70-80 Fps just because of dual channel.

You should try 4:3 resolutions with these tests. Almost everyone who plays csgo with a cheap laptop plays on 4:3 black bars or stretched low resolution

I mean, with dual channel ram it's actually "decent", I've played for some time at 720 GTA V with around 35-40 fps with an extremely similar setup, except it had 2x4gb of ram, 4gb of those being soldered, I think it was a Lenovo Ideapad something.

My little brother has a laptop with a 3200U I believe and I expected it to atleast run games well, until I realised it had 4gb ram, I'm gonna throw another 4gb in there since only one slot is soldered

Back when i worked at a pc repair service, a old couple wanted to upgrade their laptop since it got both broken and slowed down. i found this laptop with a ryzen 5 and recommended it to them. they said it was perfect and loved it. Its was probably the best value/ performance hp laptop out there because of the ryzen cpu/gpu.

I have a HP DB15 (I use it mostly for college and travel) 8GB Ram - 1TB HDD - Ryzen 2200U - Radeon 530 and it's not a beast but it runs the games I like very good.

Just got my sister a similar HP 15 but with a Ryzen 3 5300U with 8GB Ram in single channel for around £399 with credit card discount, CSGO runs well along with a few frame drops, only downside is the non-backlit keyboard and bad viewing angles, would love to see a teardown if I wanna upgrade to 16gigs in the future

Even though 4Gb of RAM is really low, I still think the main problem is that it's single channel. Dual channel should make for a much smoother gameplay without those dives into single-digit framerates...

Hello! I've been watching your videos for a long time. I think if you start a series in which you buy old laptops. On which you can even upgrade the video card. It will be a very interesting video to show how the parts are changed, how much they cost and so on. If you find the HP Elitebook 8770w, they are perfect for upgradе.

I’ve got a laptop with the 3300u and the same gpu. As stock it was configured with 4 gigs of Ram but I put another 8 gig stick in there and an extra ssd (it has an nvme slot too), and it’s a decent gaming laptop now, if you play games from 2015-2016 and before, especially because of the native screen resolution which is 768p. It runs newer games okay too.

I just love it when people sell "gaming computers" that have a Celeron or pentium with integrated graphics, a 5400rpm hdd and 3.5gb of ram. 😆 At least this guy has a Ryzan in it.

I actually OWN this laptop and have for a year (apart from mine is a gun metal blue) and my review of it is that: It’s actually not that good for gaming, the RAM is too low and can basically only have 1 program open (along with a possible antivirus running in the background that isn’t in scanning mode). 80% of Steam games run terribly on this with normal settings. Most Steam games, even on low settings, give around 20 or 40 frames on 1080p, which is basically the norm for today’s laptop gaming average. The laptop itself for browsing and watching is a good and functional experience, but the thing it’s meant to do it doesn’t do very well. The graphics aren’t great as well, but when I got mine, I paid the full price for it (£450-500) and there’s much better options than what I got. If you do plan on getting this laptop, get it 2nd hand, as paying full price for this laptop isn’t worth it. That’s my review on it, have a great day!

I picked up a 14" Evoo 3500U Laptop recently for about $270 USD. Been daily driving it for various (Non gaming things.) Naturally I had to see what it could do gaming and it it impresses me immensely. Rocket League, Fortnite, Fall Guys and League of Legends all run pretty great. Granted I went to upgrade the ram from 8gb to 16 (Dual Channel) only to find it is limited to a single slot. Still happy though how well it does with (Very) Casual Gaming. I'll have to try CS:GO Next.

The desktop wallpaper is of the 2012 version of CSGO I believe. Which would probably get 100+ FPS. So, the seller isn't technically wrong.

Considering the upgrade you are going through, how about a before + after?

I have a HP14 with a 3300u in it. Mine has only a 720p display. These are very easy to upgrade storage & ram. It can play Fortnite too as long as you upgrade the ram...

I bought another HP laptop for my girlfriend last year, I don't know the actual Modell name but it has a Ryzen 5 3400u if i remember correctly inside with the integrated graphics card. What I found out after playing with this thing a few times that we had to set the power management mode to the Ryzen plan and cap always the framerate to 60. If we used for example high usage in Windows and uncapped the framework it worked but the framerate in every game dropped every I 1 minute or so of playing to low 5fps for example and then got high again. Now with the cap insert every game I tested so far works fine.

We need to compare the single channel setup to the upgraded dual channel.. assuming HP didn't gimp the jell out of it with a single slot.

You should do the test of laptop with AMD Radeon RX Vega M GL, this integrated GPU with Intel CPU should be close to performance of desktop 1050 Ti

this laptop looks a LOT like a lenovo laptop i have, specwise and physical build looks wise. i added dual channel memory in it and it made it actually pretty damn decent

I have an Acer Aspire 3 with a Ryzen 5 3500U, 8GB RAM (4GB on-board and 4 in the slot) and a 500GB SSD that already throttles (70°C) only while downloading the CS:GO. The lag spikes are too big to even call the the "spikes". I think its due to a slow RAM or that SSD thermal throttling. Otherwise, it could be a decent CS:GO gaming on the go. Except the battery.

My sis has this Laptop but with a Ryzen 5 3500U and I think 8 GB DDR4. CS:GO only ran at 20 FPS at 1080p *locked.* I think due to high graphics (which I didn't check).

i bought the same laptop model with latest ryzen 5 5500u (Vega 7 512mb graphics) 8gb DDR4 3200Mhz with 512 GB SSD and legit its good and i play at 1280x960 (4:3 streched ) works great ! the U generation laptops have great efficiency and low power consumption definately worth the money oops forgot to mention fps . i get like 150-180 fps at competetive settings 1280x960

I have a ryzen 5 2500u , it used to run csgo without any stutters even with 4gb ram. I am quite surprised by the result here cause the game ran horribly with that 4gb ram compared to mine

TBH I am more than ok to play to csgo on this thing all day. If we go 4:3 1024 x 768 or something like that, we can actually get some more fps but still 8gigs are necessary for to avoid lag. 😂
