Really hope to see a kot more bug fixes than content drops for a while now that 3.23 is out. Especially 1 before Invictus Launch Week.

Hell yah man, I think star citizen is in a good spot right now, just needs some refinement, I haven’t been able to play since the weekend I hope it’s still holding up as nice as it did then

That's a longer term goal for these videos, up until recently I didn't have the smoothest computer for star citizen, but I did upgrade now, so I'd like to work in some of my own footage from time to time. Glad you liked the video 😁

Cool video. But frustrating as fuck. Downloaded the latest patch and haven’t been able to play. If it loads (if I’m lucky) once I move off the bed it fuckin freezes.

Dam man that's horrible, have you tried a clean install? wiping everything and doing it over? I installed clean this time and I haven't had any Issues yet

What don’t you like about master modes? So far i’ve been finding it pretty fun, but it could just be the way I personally play the game. There’s definitely a lot more keybindings

@@faintanomaly Thanks for responding Mr. Anomaly. I started playing 3 months before 3.23 came out, so that should give this some context. The flight model and the way ships worked was simple, logical, and felt really intuitive in atmo and zero G. The big rub for me is that the ships are unnecessarily convoluted now and combat has been boiled down to whoever has the higher DPS (in the case of two fighters fighting) or faster strafe (smaller ship vs. heavier) will inevitably win the 150-200 m/s strafe and aim fest that is 3.23 combat. In 3.22 we could maneuver, strategize, joust if necessary, and even circle strafe an enemy if we were skilled enough. No matter the size ship, I always felt I had a chance in PVP or PVE combat. Now the ships feel kind of clunky and slow, though I'm not sure what changed in the actual physical flight model. Master Modes forces me to take a lot of damage because combat can only occur in

Alright I think I see where you're coming from. Your main concern seems to stem from combat not having the same "opportunities" it used to, in other words, more limited for the ships that could've escaped sticky situations in previous patches, now potentially getting crushed, up close, from the close range engagements. I can see where you're coming from, previous patches probably made fights more unpredictable and by extension more exciting. Am I correct in my understanding that you're more concerned with what we lost, than what we gained? Do you feel like we gained anything from patch 3.23? Does the patch have any merits? I think this new patch has definitely added complexity with the 3 sub modes under the 2 main modes... I myself have got stuck with this a couple times but I think I'll get used to it. What I don't get is why we can't have shields in NAV mode. It's not like anyone will be able to shoot us, if they are in SCM and we are in NAV mode, we'll be 2 times faster than them, so escape should be easy. Shields also make sense incase you bump stations or mess up landings. I think the combat aspect will improve over time with many passes of ship stats. I just want to know if Master Modes are so broken that the Tweaks that will eventually happen, won't be enough? or will we have to go back to the old way? do we stick to this and tough it out? who knows...

@@faintanomaly Fights before made more sense too, in a way. Why would a manufacturer make a ship limited to 200m/s when there's no legit reason to in a fight? Like...one manufacturer would just make a ship that could behave like 3.22 ships (high speed capable, shields always up, stealth, easy to use functions without switching modes, etc.) and just dominate the star system. Yeah, the shields in nav mode thing is a killer. If you try to break contact then you end up dying to missiles as you jet away without shields... I don't mean to come off all negative, but it seems like 3.23 is all fluff and no substance. They made the UI better, but the gameplay is worse somehow. Contracts barely accept and track and cargo disappears even more than before. It's just frustrating to play right now.

@@leehrvyoswld No no you're not coming off negative, I see where you're coming from and I understand many of the points you raise. I'm just glad you actually have some points, I've had some people complain about master modes in the past on the channel but they couldn't tell me what they thought was actually wrong. I still think there's gonna be a place in the middle, where everyone makes some sacrifices. The way MM is now seems to not be working for a substantial amount of people. I guess, my hope is just that the tweaks to MM can get it there in the end, but I don't know. I do know that the previous version also had it's flaws, for me personally the high speed altercations was too much, but I know some liked that aspect of the game with jousting gameplay being a huge part of the skillset they developed and came to love.
