It might not get a lot of likes, but I'd really like to see Plymouth. I'm currently saving for my first steel ship and everyone who plays Plymouth is actually enjoying her - not as a less DPM Mino, but as a T10 Belfast. Since most other wows don't cover Plymouth that much, I hope for a video in the future. Thanks for keeping the series alive;)
@@felixwang5689 definitely imo, yammy leg mod was the first thing i ever bought with my research point, accurate overmatching guns absolutely slap as they deal tons of damage as long as they hit
Neutrashimy :-)! Actually I've had some good games in Columbo - I find the AP is pretty effective. You can definitely tell that the line came out at the time deadeye was around though, was surprised it didn't get an accuracy buff when that skill was removed.
I love the hybrid build in ranked. Max secondary range while reducing the reload time as much as possible. When in secondary range you have sub 19 sec reload. And the secondaries still hurt like hell, even if you don't go fully into it. (And it scares DD players, especially if they're in smoke and you hydro them) The bad thing about this is, that the high range precision isn't good and you won't be as survivable or stealthy. In randoms I'd just use another ship, or go for an artillery build. Still good reload time ~21 sec and better accuracy. A little more boring if you'd ask me, but eh... That's the game.
@@Swarm509 i can tell you here, if that's no problem. (The import slots) 3. Slot, secondary mod 1 6. Slot, main battery reload mod 3 (the secondary mod 2 doesn't increase the range) Captain build: Most important: Long range secondaries (3 points), close quarters expert (4 points) Moderately important: Adrenaline rush (3 points), Accurate manual secondaries (4 points) The rest isn't as important, though I'd advise for tank build. Sorry for the wrong names of the captain skills etc., I don't have the game in English.
In my early days in wows, the first game with Bismarck, my first t8 ship, i saw red shells flying in my direction. And I was nuked of half of my hp. I had no idea what ship and what shell just did that to me and I figured, "op must be pay to win!" Since then i have an irrational fear of sap shells...
hahahah me too, back in the day when the Colombo was being tested, there was no reduction to SAP dmg against dds, I got dev strike by a colombo from the moon and to this day I still fear BB SAP when i'm playing any dd hahaha
Back when Colombo had better accuracy I always get nuked for 20k at the start of the game by some laser SAP shell flying across the map. The next few salvos didnt hurt as much but it did leave an impression.
Ship for the next video: Schlieffen Schlieffen is a perfect ship for the next one, quite new, quite strong but still needs some skill to play. I'd love to see how to play it in the next one and thank You a lot Potato Quality for spending Your time to make all of these videos, it matters to me a lot. Keep it all up! o7
@@fulviorsc yep, Schlieffen is a dd killer, most dd-deadly at ranked battles or clan battles with timed radar activation from friendly crusiers + it has hydro and fricking torpedoes
Keep the horrible dispersion, but just give me 20km range and like 2-3 seconds off reload and the ship would be much better. I'm also an advocate for them giving SAP secondaries on all Italian BBs Tier 8+ at least.
Would like to see the Harugumo with the legendary mod, I have been playing around with it and it is quite interesting (really turns the ship into a light cruiser because of the loss of concealment)
@@zacharyjackson1829 101k with a dev strike and dd kill, only died because of bad positioning and bad team lol. on top of that he was still top of his team.....
Yeah, and if you look at his stats on all T10 BBs, Colombo is nowhere near the bottom. In many categories, it's closer to the top than the bottom. (PR, Average Damage, Average Frags, etc.). I'd love to see a branch of Italian BBs with SAP secondaries like Verdi... and an Italian Super BB with 20 guns on 360-degree turrets. :D
@@AaronBaecker Yeah, not sure why he always gets the idea its a terrible ship. It's his 10th highest average damage ship when it comes to tier 9-10 at ~150k and 8th for average frags
4:50 dont be over confident. With enough practice it is incredibly easy to blind shot ita smokes. As you are always in middle of "top of circle" from center.
duke of york could be very good cuz many people look at this ship and they think this is basically a king george V with improved pen angles but with long reload is it really worth to get that improved pen angles or should i stick with good ol king george V ? so a video could answer that question very nicely
I want to see you play an objectively bad ship that I personally enjoy, Fenyang. Fenyang isn't great, it's basically a nerfed Akizuki with improved AP pen angles and AP pen and damage.
I think that a cool buff for the colombo in addition to more range would be kinda like these supership gimmick where, for like 3 or 2 SAP volleys, you would get one accurate AP volley. So that SAP doesn't become useless and AP is more reliable on broadsides
i would like to see you play the less popular steel, coal, and RB ships. what are they like? why are they not played more? are they bad ships, or is it that, there are so many other choices? as a player who has been getting the "better" ships in these categories i am always wondering what to get next because i see so little of them being played and can't make any real judgements off of that.
I said this before, will say this again: every colombo video I saw you playing was a blast, you got top XP and you did more than 100k dmg, every single of them... next time please show us your metrics because god damn those games are awesome... I imagine someone who does not play WoWS, see this video and think wow, if that is the worst battleship I can only imagine the other ones
Special ship request: CLEMSON.! OMG, come on dude, the Clemson is where the FUN is.! Throw out a game for FUN, have a ball with the damn thing, or are you scared someone might ahh, sink you in the lower tiers? Imagine what a brute that would be with Halsey on it, OMFG.! Hehe. My records: 9 kills, with 146K, highest damage was 150K+ (normal, 14-point captain) Seal-clubbing at its FINEST.
I wanna see you play Sovetsky Soyuz next. I am currently going down the RU BB line and the next ship I am going to unlock is Sovetsky Soyuz. At the Vladivostok right now.
Best t10 bb Chadlombo. Probably my favourite t10bb because of how fun it can be. That being said it’s still frustrating at times. The accuracy argument is always there but I still find with SAP even hitting 3 or more shells can hurt. I recently hit a Patrie with 12 and slapped them for 42k. The accuracy is frustrating but if it were even slightly better you would obliterate cruisers and have BBs donate insane amounts of damage with just superstructure hits. The ships can suffer big time but it has the tools to make it terrifying to come up against for most ships. It’s situational but not as situational as a ship like Schlieffen.
'you can't do full pens on DDs' 1 second later only does full pens on a dd... I like the idea of this ship but giving it the same 1.5 sigma as Pommern is brutal.
Have noticed a lot more near dev strikes in my games, short by just a few hundred. It happened in this video a lone a few times, so it's not just me. Has WG added some magic to make it less common so games are not ended so quickly?
I've always been around 60-70% winrate in Japanese cruisers, however I'm struggling to stay above 55% in the Zao. I would like to see you play it more and get your thoughts on its playstyle since its armor is sometimes great and sometimes nonexistent. Its hard to know what I'm doing wrong.
My big question is when people play one of these unique commanders how do they reset the skills each time - most YTers kind of gloss over that part. To reset and move a commander over to a tech tree ship it costs dubs or commander exp to retrain unless you slogg through 5-10 battles. To reset that commanders skills its 500 dubs or 150k capt exp. I know it wouldnt make WG as much money - and there is the reason why - but I think it would be nice to allow each capt to be trainable for 2 ships (call them profiles) then that capt can be moved back and fourth between those two ships (or classes) without retraining. I mean in real life there is a skill curve and I get it but say you train that capt up to 21 on each class its not like you totally forget the battleship skills...... Just sayin IMHO.
If transferring them to a gold ship no retraining is require which is why a solid Gold ship is a great trainer for new captains. Outside of that they will likely do retrains from just having a huge pool of free XP from doing 8 hour streams or just from Doubloons which I think you can get as compensation from the Wargaming community contributor program. Or if the streamer is big enough, through $5 a stream on retraining is a small expense compared to all the subs and dono's they pull.
Ship request: Richelieu. I've just been grinding the French BBs for the first time and I was surprised how good the Richelieu actually can be: Good armor, punchy guns, if they hit, and some good AA as well. I would recommend Honoré as the commander though, with that improved AR he brings the reload down to acceptable levels.
I have all the coal ships except for Marco Polo and z44. I’m not that interested in z44 and I heard that polo got a decent sigma buff. Can you revisit the Marco Polo?
I would really like to see a Nakhimov game from you. I know your aversion to CVs, but you have admitted wanting to learn to play them to understand how to deal with them. So since WG are probably not gonna remove CVs anytime soon, might as well play one.
If they're going to insist on balancing ships like every Italian line around the special captains, they need to make the special captains act like special ships. You should be able to move those special and expensive captains freely. They should not somehow forget the training on ships they've already been trained on lol.
