I wonder if they found the slinging of bodies off the edge as funny as I am watching it. Probably not. Maybe though. I can't help but chuckle everytime he dodges rocks flinging by him or an enemy falls over the edge, ragdolling into the abyss below.
@@86ajmn Doubt it's as amusing when it's your friends getting turned into mince meat around you. Then again, in the intense trauma of the moment, there were probably people laughing in pure delirium as a coping method to the absolute hell happening around them.
For your next game in the WW1 Series, could you please have it take place in the deserts of Arabia, with the Ottomans fighting the British? I believe out of all the battles waged during the First World War, the conflicts being fought by the Ottomans are the most captivating, with the stunning visuals the deserts and coasts provide, and the interesting, sometimes obsolete weapons they had to work with.
@@iaina3251 Yeah, i know how it is with an ADHD brain. It's similar to my autism brain. lol 😆 I sometimes completely miss some words, etc too when typing.
Another thing that italian did in WW1 was the "Salto del granatiere" (the "Grenadier's jump") when, surrounded and destined to fall, the Granatieri di Sardegna's brigade, after furious melee combat with bayonets, were just running towards the austro-hungarians and grabbing them while jumping off the cliffs.
Im sorry to tell you but that is very likely a false myth. Modern historians tend to believe that simply during the hand to hand fights for the summit of the Cengio many soldiers on both sides fell down but that there were no recorded istances of suicidal jumps. The story was likely invented by the italian propaganda of the time to have a very patriotic tale of heroism and self sacrifice in the name of the motherland. The italians still lost the battle of monte Cengio so the italian propaganda tried to turn it into something more heroic than just sayng that one of their elite units run out of ammo and was forced to surrender.
The Isonzo front was a relatively unknown campaign in WW1. Brutal conditions, lots of blinding injuries due to shell bursts amongst the rocks. Due to intermarriage between Italians and Austrians, many of the combatants were related to each other and did their best to wipe each other out.
3:50 Wiki: 150,000-180,000 overall deaths, only one third of which caused by combat, overall. 1915-1917 Altitude 2000 - 3905m The white war And the war is more than just here in the game. Italians victory Also check replies
You wanna tell me 180000 young men had to die climbing a sheer fucking mountain while being shot at and having rocks thrown at them... WHY! That just pisses me off... Just because of an extended royal family squabble...
Sorry that is not correct. Those are not numbers of dead in one battle on one mountain. The WHOLE Isonzo front casualties number (all 12 battles/offensives from 1915 to 1917) is around 1.500.000, but out of that the DEATH TOLL is around 186.000, others are wounded/poisoned, missing, captured or fallen ill. Those are numbers for the whole front for 3,5 years. Still a massive loss of life....
I love how jack was like "I told you not to" because he was probably spamming it before they started recording and didn't want it in the video, but he did it anyway lmfao
i started fuckin' SCREAMING "reload the goddamn gun properly!!!" reminded me of a new hunter the family invited on the old ranch, the first buck he shot, he needed a follow-up but was so shaky and nervous he just racked the bolt action like 5 times and ejected every round. i was there with the Mini-14 to take the shot though. teamwork makes the dream work.
@@brothatscrazy3418 He probably had auto bolting on, so the game bolts the gun after every round automatically but will not reload it automatically. still got a bit annoying.
Fun fact : These paths created in the Alps by the Italians were the origins of the Via Feratas. During the WW1, soldiers had to carry canons and heavy stuffs through thoses rocky mountains, which led to many casualties. However, it made their movements less predictable and gave them a huge advantage. Some Via Feratas are actual paths used by these soldiers, just a little bit safer now...
Via ferrata* but yeah that's true, and you can still visite em today. I went to the Lagazuoi various times and climbed through the tunnels to the top to the Cengia Martini. It's incredibly cool.
Despite sponsored video, this game is great indeed. Everyone who is fan of realistic or semi-realistic shooters need to try this one, especially right now when the game is on discount on Steam
Finally one of the most respectful big names in gaming putting this series in the spotlight, i really hope verdun and tannenberg get the same love, anyways love your videos jack please do more videos of this game series and bf4❤
I've been playing Isonzo for a long time, Its sad that the community only has 5-6 players on when im playing, But i have a tonne of fun with the bots - I hope this video brings in more players, The devs truly love and support this game despite the player base, Its so much fun
This game is insane. Last Christmas they added a map where part of the map there were clear ice caves/caverns that look stunning and were awesome to fight through.
i actually whent to the italian/austrian border to see one of those mountain trenches and it was quite the spectacle. there were tunnel networks leading to the top of the mountain and firing ports across chasms, at the very top there was just a small crossing path (about 2 plank widths) where they might have fought.
This reminds me of the Resort map in RS2. Similar concept where GIs need to get on chopper from an island and land on the mainland/beach while trying to evade enemy fire, rpg and SAM.
JACK KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! ITS 2024, IVE BEEN WATCHING YOU FOR A VERY LONG TIME.. YOU BRING GOOD CONTENT CONSISTENTLY FOR US WE THANK YOU!!! NEVER FAIL
