I've seen raiohead live six times but never seen thom play any of his solo stuff. Gotta say - this looks incredibly difficult to pull off live. I play the guitar myself and am quite competant but I doubt I'd have the nerve to try and play that. Nice one thom.

I doubt I would even attempt this without a loop pedal because there are parts in this song where the vocal is syncopated with the guitar which seems to momentarily render the down beat as a moving target making it very difficult for me to feel my way through.

Now what kind of effects is he using to play back his own guitar and build up from it? Im new at guitar and only have and amp but id like to have whatever it is he is using to add layers basically to the song. Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah I guess I hoped to find something very similar to album version, but with, well, live sound. Instead all I see is his weird experiments. That's fine i guess and now I see my initial comment being edgy

At first I thought about that 17ish min long video (that sucked too btw) but then I actually went ahead and used search and well I fucking found a decent live with very similar sound to the album version - it's Citi Wang Theatre live with AfP. I don't what to say man, I'm just glad we had this exchange and it bore some fruits. Thank you!

Its not a bad performance. His singing is up to the usual standard, maybe he should have just had someone else play the guitar for a better sound. U can still recognize what a great song it is though.
