I would like to know why we continue to give the Cashmans and dare I say Walkers of this country the opportunity to deal these substances. This nightmare is of our own making. Drugs need to be brought into the confines of proper legal regulation and control. The drug trade needs to be made lawful.

The "mafia" thing is stupid but you could say that Liverpool has a kind of cartel at the higher levels, if you think about what a cartel actually is. Like legal ones - they mostly cooperate and let the idiots in the streets kill each other over who gets to sell the gear and where, meanwhile the big boys are bringing in all sorts through the ports which is then distributed across the country, even beyond the country. There's a good book on it actually specific to Liverpool, if you google "Liverpool cartel book" you'' find I'm sure. The Huyton mob would be classed as an organised crime group (an OCG).
