Yeh Thor & Tony were the most fleshed out characters out of all the Avengers. They lost EVERYTHING and still gave EVERYTHING they had to save the universe!

This is also how Thor was in the sagas. While he had his heroic moments, Thor also had quite a temper and was ready to kill other beings even after a smallest and pretty insignificant provocations (Prose edda and contest with Jotuns in Utgard came to mind, where Thor basically got pissy because he was beaten in contests...even if his feats where mighty enough to impress the Jotuns)

Technically, Thor is quarter frost giant. Odin is half frost giant with his mother being a frost giant. EDIT: At least this was the case in Norse Myths. I don’t know if this is the case in the MCU. I wish it was since it could have explored a whole new chapter on the consequences of war.

The plan was to build up and destroy Asgard and all of her citizens in the movies to begin with. But guess what? You will never destroy Asgard! The movies have turned into joke! Thor Ragnarok was a joke! Thor , for someone who had just loss his brother, hammer, and all of the rest of her citizens brushed it all aside like it was just another day and the other movies became nothing but a comedy. Sad really sad. I will just stick with my old school comic books and leave the MCU to the movie goers without a clue!

Even in royal families of the same blood, the heir is simply more important than the spare(s). Loki just attributed this to him being a frost giant but even Hela was downcast and she was trueborn

Hela is a different story, because her ambition grew greater than her father's. She became too dangerous(at Odin says so, which we can't fully trust).

THEN he caused the snap that further reduced their population by around half once more. So yeah, they have basically been wiped out by the time we see them on earth in Endgame.
