I have the 140 and 240 and will never buy another type of knife again if it's not a Terävä, these knives are simply amazing, especially for the price. The 200 is definitely on my shopping list :). Thanks for testing and good job on the saw!
Hi Lai, I hear you Fällkniven is my favorite but expensive, Terävä I my favorite If you take price into acount, Like i say it takes no skills to produce a knife if price dose not matter, but it takes skills to produce a knife to a good price, Terävä is the best at that!!
The 200 doesn’t have a rat tail. Varusteleka confirmed that the tang is “full” underneath the handle, as in that the tang is the same as the bare tang version underneath the rubber.
if it's the same as the blade blank that they also sell (which allows you to make your own handle), the tang is not actually a full tang, but it is skeletonized, so almost full, but weaker than a proper full tang.
@@Elektroslag No, you’re looking at the 240. The 200 isn’t a rat tang. Check again. I also mentioned the bare tang option in my comment, so I’m pretty aware you can buy the “blanks”.
@@Elektroslag I don’t know if my previous comment got deleted because I provided he link, but I’m looking at the bare tang on the website and it has a skeleton tang - not a rat tail. The 240 has a rat tail that sticks out the end with the loop, but the 200 is a skeleton tang.
@@Elektroslag Unless you’re trolling. The company itself has publicly stated that the 200 does not have a rat tang, but rather a skeleton “full” tang like in the picture of the bare tang option, so I don’t know why I’m even discussing this with you.
Good stuff, thanks for the upload Look forward to wringing mine out when it gets here. The 240 tempted me greatly, but the 200 i think makes more sense for my uses Which im sure means i will also end up with the 240 in the near future...
Hi Thor, I have the 240 with the sheath but I never carry it on my belt, always in my pack (it,s too bulky on the belt). I'm thinking about the 200 to buy. Can I use the 240 sheath for the 200? That would reduce my price. Is it practical and possible to use the 240 sheath to carry the 200 on my belt? Or does that not make sense (is it too large, not comfortable)? Thanks and kind regards, Alain
The part of the 25%bevel at the handle is called a recassa,I probably misspelled it though, just thought I'd let you know Thor,ty for the review, these all are great knives for the money.
@@Thoristesting ,no problem, I understand, some words an pronouncing in certain tongues I can only imagine, also,it took me.some time to pernounce jaakaripukko, as jaggarr, which made more since, some knife reviews depending on where there from an who makes them is hard for me to say in English, so I at least give it my best shot, thanks Thor
Ahhhh yes it was not a specific knife but terävä is really called Terävä Jääkäripuukko it was the last part of their brand, I think it means forest knife but im not sure :)
Hi! My Name is Thomas. I am from germany. Yes, the video is older than a year, but I saw it now. RU-vid showed it to me 😅 Sorry 🙈 my english is for trash a little 😅 Last week I bought the 240 Skrama and it's on the way to me 🙂 I took it in the plastic only, because the leather isn't for me. For this I bought one of the old British Army Bayonet Frogs in Tarn. It's my first knife from a manufacturer and from outside of my Country. I am so happy and I hope it will be ariving me tomorrow monday the 03.01.22.. If it will be, it will be my absolutely knife for most of the works outside and, that's more importent, the knife of my heart and soul! I will see and try it. Wonderful video of the 200 and have a happy new year and a lot of health to you and your nearest lovely people 😃 See you!
Hmmm 200, only becauce for my work they can performe the same task, but 200 i lighter, though it is a nice feeling to have the large 240. if you are the type were knifes are never big enough or weight dont matter take the 240, just because it is awsome :)
