And your laughter and joy has brought me so much happiness, especially during times this past year where my depression kicked in, seeing your videos really helped. As I've mentioned, I discovered you during last years Hallowbeans and instantly became addicted. I am an introvert who doesn't need a lot of human interaction, but sometimes I need a friendly voice and a good laugh with someone, and though all the upheaval in my life recently, moving across the country, starting a new job, and dealing with what feels like a fruitless search for an apartment, having you there to share a movie memory with me, to be able to watch some of my favorite movies along with you, has meant a lot to me. I'm going to try to write you a letter, which won't reach you for this unboxing live, but hopefully will for next months. But I just want you to know, we are here for you. You are a light in my life, and in 99,999 others and we are so glad you have the strength to push past the dark times and I hope if you find clouds ahead, you just need to look to us, to the comments, twitter, and IG posts to know you are not alone. Ashleigh, you’re a gem. Thank you for letting us into your life and occasionally into your closet. My wife is from Russia, and the pandemic kept us 7000 miles apart for six months. I started watching these reaction videos because I didn’t even have the willpower to finish a movie during that period. After the lockdowns, I unsubscribed from a lot of these channels, but I kept watching yours because you are such a real person and it’s a delight to experience things with you. It’s rough to get the job and realize it isn’t what you thought. It’s rough to have to cut off family who are tearing you down. It’s terrible to lose the people who have kept us going. I think we all are having to rebuild our lives now, and I’m glad you’ve got a solid foundation for it.

Ashleigh, watching your reactions has helped me through some very dark times. I was laid off from my job of 20 years because of circumstances with the pandemic. And also taking care of my mother after a stroke due to her having Covid. I was unemployed for many months and had to start all over again. well damn. that was the first time I've cried in like... probably two, three years? not because I'm as hard of a guy as my beard makes some people think, and certainly not because nothing shitty happened in the meantime, I'm just... too dead inside usually to be fazed by much. but that got me. Didn't expect to feel so emotional watching a vid on Thor: the Dark World. You too have helped us thru these dark times. Grats on the milestone.

The lights are blinking because LED lights turn on and off with each cycle of the AC current (60 times per second). That's fast enough that your eyes (without the camera) can't see the blinking, it all just blends together. If your shutter speed on your video camera is close to that though, then it sometimes catches while they are on for multiple frames, and then sometimes while they are off for multiple consecutive frames resulting in that flicker you see in the video. If your camera allows manual settings, then you can adjust the shutter speed to eliminate that. If you don't have direct control over shutter speed, then you can try adjusting other settings such as the ISO, the aperature, or the recording brightness. Any of those may indirectly cause the camera to adjust shutter speed.

Who knows if you’ll read this but, if you do, I just want to say this: I’ve been in the same boat mentally/emotionally fighting depression my whole life and the very real urge to make it all stop for prob the last 3-4 years. I want to say you aren’t alone but also that your channel has become appointment viewing for me. I literally cannot wait for Mondays and Fridays so that I can see what you’re watching and how you react. To see someone go through the emotions of a movie - the laughs, the tears, the confusion leading to a big twist - it puts into perspective how beautiful the art is when it’s easy to just think of it as just a movie. It's why I kept coming back in the early days. Even when you hate on a classic (ET, my god) I still came back because I always know I'm going to get a genuine reaction to movies I watched over 40 years ago. I have so enjoyed watching them all again with you. Over the past two years since your channel started I went through separation and divorce, had to hold in my emotions and grieve the loss of my family life that's no longer possible. Add to that having to put on my brave dad face for my young daughter so that the division and her now having to split time between us is just a normal progression in our life. For her, not for me. This shit is not easy. I struggle every day. But I have something to look forward to every Monday. Then every Friday. Then sometimes Wednesday's on special occasions. And I get to laugh and cry with you watching something I enjoyed long ago. It's a joy for me. You have helped me every bit as much as I have you. When I got into your channel last year through a friend, I was having some trouble myself, isolated as I am already, and then having all this happening in the world on top of that to make me more isolated, and I literally laughed so much with your videos and had such a good time that I could kinda forget a little and set all that aside for a bit. This helped me deal with things a bit better, and I took the time to go back and watch all of your videos all the way back to the beginning (except for A Nightmare on Elm Street, simply because I despise that series of films so much, but I'm digressing), and I've had so much laughter and so many (good) tears as a result. I also never miss an upload. When you uploaded your cover of Fancy, I cheered for you so much, and I'll say again what I said then. Ashleigh, I don't normally comment on your video's, I just enjoy your reactions and smile and laugh along with you. A week ago today a fire started in my daughters bedroom. Luckily our smoke detector alerted us and my partner, daughter, two sons and our two dogs got out safe. Unfortunately our cat didn't. We have lost everything, all we had was the clothes on our backs and each other. We are currently living in a hotel, so life is pretty shity right now, but you continue to put a smile on my face and joy in my heart. You are amazing and have earned that 100k subs. I've had a pretty rough last two years and I came across you channel last year. Sometimes your videos are the only thing that makes me laugh/smile all week. So feeling definitely mutual. You are fun to watch movies with and you even turn the films I didn't care for that much into a good experience. Now for the heavy stuff. I've tasted some of the darkness you're talking about. I almost died back in 2018 due to an infection in my body that I didn't even know I had until I was rushed to the hospital. I spent 7 months in a hospital bed with powerful antibiotic treatments. Many treatments and several surgeries later I survived. My rehab back to what will pass as my new normal continues to this day. Since all of that began I have asked myself whether my continued existence is worth the burden to my family. They have to help me now with basic meals and even just getting around the house. That's a huge blow to someone who was able to live an independent life at one time. You are right. Sometimes we are not kind to ourselves in our own thoughts. I think I can speak for the rest of us when I say that you've been an albeit small, but oh so bright spot in my life ever since I've started watching you. Your laugh is infectious and it's impossible to be in a bad mood while watching you, and that's a trait that not a lot of people have. Just letting you know, after a very horrible year in which I lost a job, my house, and a close family member dealing with some horrific health problems. Being able to spend some time escaping by tuning into your videos, as well as looking forward to the next one has helped me deal with quite a bit. So it's a two way street. We need you as much as you need us.

Aww, Ashleigh. I discovered you a while ago and I loved your content, your enthusiasm and your heart. I binge watch a number of your vids each day and enjoy every minute of it. I know where you're coming from. I got diagnosed with depression a while ago, and have tried hard to get out of the hole I allowed myself to fall into. I was on my way to good things, I could tell, but then 2020 happened and...well, I fell back into the hole. I'm doing OK now, but there are days when I struggle. You're an awesome person. Keep on being you. We love you.❤

Ashleigh, you and Shaneel from Shan watches movies are my favorite movie reactionists. Stay strong and hopefully 2022 will be a better year for us all. On the topic of the movie: In actual Norse mythology, Svartalfheim was also called Nidavellir, the realm of dwarves, and the dark elves were also dwarves, again, same thing, just different names. In the Marvel universe, however, they made Svartalfheim and Nidavellir two separate realms, and kept it down to 9 by making Helheim (the underworld) part of Niflheim. I enjoyed this movie more than the first one, I don't get why so many people say it's one of the worst ones. I think the biggest issue it has is the plot holes it creates with the others. In this movie they act like the 9 realms are different dimensions, while in the rest of them they're shown to be planets. Also, regarding the "universe of darkness" (potential spoiler alert); we later learn that before the big bang, there existed six singularities (black holes), but according to this movie, there were other things that existed in the universe of darkness, including life, which begs the question, did Svartalfheim already exist in the universe of darkness, or was it created after the big bang and colonized by the dark elves? One more thing, oh boy Ashleigh, you're coming up on what might be the best movie in the whole M.C.U.!

I watch a lot of reactors and can be selective on which videos I watch, however I don't miss a single one of yours because of who you are. You have a great energy, humor, wit, and sincerity and I look forward to every upload. YOU are even better than enough, you are amazing.

I enjoy your reactions so much - I go back and rewatch some of them that are my favorites! You give me happiness and laughter and sometimes that is in short supply in my world. I’ve been through (still deal with) depression, anxiety and insomnia. I had one attempt on my life which resulted in a fairly long stint in a mental hospital and another visit back there when I was having strong ideation and plans. The psychiatrist made me read a short book that had a huge impact on my thoughts about suicide. Suicide: The Forever Decision by Dr. Paul Quinnett. I know you don’t like to read, but the book is no nonsense short and blunt about suicide. I read it and it changed me forever. I still have very bad times, but have never once considered suicide ever again. I suggest this to you kindly, with the affection I feel for you. The world would be so much darker without you in it. Congratulations on reaching 100,000 subscribers! You have a great channel and creativity! I’ll be faithfully watching every new episode!

You are a beacon! Just for talking about those things. Even to this day I miss the comfortability of knowing my dad was in the next room at his computer with our dog on his lap and the news showing on the TV. Both my parents, grandparents, and aunt are gone, and I too thought about ending it. Its hard for me to even leave the house. This channel is one of the few things I look forward to.

Take it from a bearded, tattooed, pierced fellah from Minnesota, but put me squarely in the laughing with you, and crying with you category. My cat who died several years ago was an orange tabby named Bean, so that you call Chloe, Beans, like you do, is one of the first things that I connected with, when watching your videos. But you being you is what kept me watching--I've watched most of your vids, but I'm trying to leave some so when I'm in the mood, I can catch one I haven't seen. Thanks for stickin' around--it's not always easy. "If you're going through Hell, keep going." I've had to stop seeing toxic family members, to the point where if they are beside or above me on the family tree, I don't associate with them. Sometimes doing the hard thing is the healthy thing.

Whilst this is easily my least favourite Marvel film, you found a way to make the reaction enjoyable...as always. Spider-Man: No Way Home - make sure that you fit the original Spider-Man trilogy and Andrew Garfield's Amazing Spider-Man films in your schedule before you get to No Way Home otherwise it won't make much sense. :D And you're very brave going through what you've been through.
