Ayanokoji in this episode: -Damages Kushida's reputation. -Watches Suzune evolving. - Makes Hirata's mask fall. - Causes Yamauchi's expulsion. - Makes Koenji show a bit of his nature. - Prevents Ryuuen's expulsion. - Saves Ichinose from Nagumo. - Prevents his own expulsion. - Gains one protection point. - Causes Manabe's expulsion. (Don't mess with Ayanokoji's favorite tool and sometimes waifu.) - Puts both class D and B in debt with him by saving their leader. - Refuses to elaborate. - Leaves.
Sorry correct me if i am wrong but if i remember correctly ayanokoji not the one who made a move for getting the highest points in his class, he just try to not get expel & it work. The one who made ayanokoji get the highest points is sakayanagi.
Ayanokouji keep himself from getting expelled, got Yamauchi expelled, kept Ryuuen in the school, has Ryuuen and Ichinose in the palm of his hand, indirectly manipulated Suzune to give her confidence to carry out his plan, indirectly harmed Kushida’s reputation, got Hirata to reveal a part of his dark side, and got the highest number of positive points. Edit: Also got the person who was bullying Kei kicked out, that was the girl who screamed her head off. 🐐
Meanwhile Sakayanagi got rid of Katsuragi's homie to further isolate him, got Yamauchi expelled for tripping her, placed Ayanokoji in the spotlight by making him 1st place and sent a big fat "fuck you" to the school that made this exam to get Ayanokoji expelled by not only saving him but also granting him a protection point 😂😂 I swear, both Ayanokoji and Sakayanagi are playing 4D Chess against each other. Ah...and Ayanokoji also had an hand in getting Manabe expelled, she was one of Kei's bullies.
Arise didn't lie about the cease fire between her and ayanokoji she played yamauchi and told him to vote on ayanokoji not to try and get ayanokoji expelled but to get yamauchi expelled instead she took that trip fall personally😭
SPOILER - - - - - - - - - - The positive votes of class A that were given to Ayanokouji was already Arise's insurance incase he didn't do anything to prevent his expulsion, Arise was out to get Yamauchi just for tripping her up XD
One that they never brought up about Yamauchi that made me want him gone, were his actions during the rumor fiasco. Rumors hetting spread left and right, class needs to band together, and heres this punk running his mouth, exacerbating the rumors. Man was my #1 choice to leave.
Am actually glad Ryuen was saved and I expected he would since Ayanakoji said he wanted to keep him around. The screaming of Manubu was pretty great though lol for her expulsion. This is my fav episode so far. Sorry Yamauchi. Also I am sure the gang figured out where Ayanakoji's points came from lol. "The king still has to be left on the board".
14:23 there's a missing convo from the LN where hirata suddenly acting like a dick way before the vote (or the day before i forgot) and then finally asking the class to put the criticism vote on him so he can sacrifice himself for yamauchi, but it backfired and made hirata current standing like a class guardian or some sort.. which turn out made him get more praise votes and put him on No.2
Is Hirata fake nice? Idk that switch up kinda threw me off it was unexpected so I was wondering is he one of those fake nice characters in the manga that end up doing crazy stuff??
@@shalomgebreyes6672 I think he is idealistic and wants to try and keep everything "perfect" so he acts in a way to make people happy but when things don't go his way he acts like this and would rather be thrown out then continue
@@shalomgebreyes6672 we know that everyone who was placed in class D at first were people with defective traits. We already know about Ayanokouji, Kei, Suzune, Kikyo, the known group of 3 idiots of class D (Yamauchi and his 2 friends), the guy with glasses (he is smart, but lack physical training). We can guess from this interaction that Hirata is someone who has the defective trait of being too much de-attached to reality, he is being too realistic, despite being a good leader. The teacher commenting specifically on the fact that a good leader has to take the responsibility to choose what to sacrifice to keep the team strong is because it is probably a direct connection to Hirata with being a good leader, but the worst he could be outside school.
@@shalomgebreyes6672 he's nice to a fault, all he wants is a peaceful high school life but sadly you cant do that in ANHS, the switch up is beacuse of a past trauma where his close friend got bullied out of school in junior high. After his friend stop coming to school because of the bullies, he thinks atleast the bullying will stop but then the bullies switched to another victim and knowing that hirata snapped and beat up the bullies and took a dictatorial stance in his class like ryuen does.. just for keeping the peace in his class, this keeps going until he graduated.. and thats the reason hirata is in class D
Props to Sakayanagi for the assist to ayanokoji in this arc. Set up Yamafraud to target him knowing he would annihilate the fraud 😂 literally the iconic Dwade Lebron photo!
i liked a line from novel(don't know if it is in anime), after this exam between Ryuuen and Katsuragi, they both wasn't expelled and Ryueen said with a smile: i think the god of death is on my side after all.
(Gonna preface this by saying I’m not a novel reader so I can’t verify this) Just to clarify, Ayanokoji’s class didn’t give their positive votes to keep him in the class, at least not all of them (since a decent amount were surprised to see him at number 1). Sakayanagi probably made Class A give their positive votes to Ayanokoji to keep him from being expelled. Yamauchi was convinced he was gonna get them, but Ayanokoji got them instead.
Yamauchi went out shamefully. On top of fact that he threw his friends under the bus the day before, he got cocky, admitting to working for Sakayanagi and started talking smack to everyone. And after it was revealed that he was the one getting expelled, he made a big scene and nearly got beat up. Massive L
if I was the teacher; he'd be leaving the classroom with much more than a bruised ego... and I'd remember to keep the camera footage in case the parents try to defend him...
@@legalza0843 It was totally worse, Horikita just exposed him with evidence of his betrayal, Yamauchi went out of his way to shoot himself in the foot and burn all of the bridges with his classmates
@@KelShu Then why not pick Kushida? She had just as much involvement and has betrayed the class intentionally. Horikita specifically chose yamauchi as a sacrificial lamb because it was easy to. That is more or less what yamauchi did except he was just going off of another’s orders.
@@legalza0843 Kushida played it off and saved her reputation. Yamauchi’s biggest offense was working for Sakayanagi, that was the biggest reason why he was voted out.
Ayanokoji got rid of Yamauchi, saved Ryuen and Ichinose, got a Protection Point and as a bonus one of Karuizawa’s bullies (Shiho) was also expelled. My only concern is if Nagumo is the type of person who doesn’t take no for an answer because he was willing to give up over 4 million points to get Ichinose to date him.
i literally watched this episode a few minutes ago, seeing a reaction as soon as i'm done is so satisfying. makes me feel like i'm not alone with all my reactions n stuff
Still waiting for that Hirata backstory in the anime, that shit is abou to be lit. Plus the reason for Kiyotaka 1st placement was because Class A, instead of submitting their positive votes for Yamauchi like he himself explained, they actually submitted those votes for Kiyotaka
If you think about it, it took the efforts of Ayanokouji, Sakayanagi and the whole A class, Koenji, Horikita Suzune, and even Horikita Manabu to take down Yamauchi, he truly is the goat of the black room
This was everything i expected and more. Haha the only thing i wish they included is the part where koenji roasted yamauchi about not getting a written agreement from sakayanagi about the praise points that was supposedly for him. Thia couldve added more to his devastation. And i hate this guy. Hahaha
Was I the only one watching this episode of COTE thinking "Holy shit, it has been more than 15 minutes and we still haven't heard a single word or thought by Ayanokoji"? XD
She’s a hypocrite for coming down on yamauchi so hard whilst trying to be kushidas friend. Kushida is objectively way worse. Hirata had the right idea, the way horikita went about it was all wrong.
Albert must've been gone on vacation or some I ain't see him anywhere lol this was a great reaction more so AMAZING episode, Already 4-5 episodes left lol
I don't think the anime really got into the point of this school. It's designed to train up future high-profile individuals like politicians and business leaders.
I get what Hirata was getting at. An approach where no one actually plotted against anyone and voted without a plan would eliminate the potential for any malice and ill intent for most of the class, it'd ease the emotional burden. But as the teacher said, you can't always view the act of letting ppl go as something that holds ill intent behind it. In the real world, you''ll be put in situations where you have to let go of ppl, jobs etc, you'll be let go or cut off and no one means anything by it. Someone just saw it as the best, but they mean nothing more beyond that decision.
The teacher just made it up. Remember that this special exam was made for the sole purpose of expelling koji, there was never any meaning or lesson behind it when they created it.
Shira “you’re actually trying he’s not” Reminds me of a time when people were laughing at some guy in my class for getting 1 in math, the said the fact that he got 1 meant he was actually trying💀 and that he should have atleast got a 0 man I was so dumbfounded
Arisu is smart. Expelling Yamauchi for tripping her in the training camp, at the same time putting Ayanokoji in the spotlight. Making people wary of him, now it'll be difficult for him to pull stuff in the shadows (I didn't read the LN so it might not be the case, but hey)
Hirata be like "uhhhm it's okay when Yamauchi did it because, erm, he did it without telling anybody, i think that was very polite and i'd prefer that"
tbf he got up Yamauchi as well but was specifically against ganging up on him like Horikita did because, while it was necessary; from Hirata's perspective, it was cruel and more akin to bullying than simply negotiating (even though negotiations were not working) Personally, if I was Horikita; I'd point out to Hirata that while her actions might seem cruel; Yamauchi was far worse as he literally threw all of his friends under the bus without hesitation and also took advantage of Kushida (who was a super sweet girl as far as everyone else was aware) and had her convince a large group of students to turn of Ayanokoji then I'd say "In the real world, in a real workplace; people like Yamauchi are the types who get good, hard workers fired simply because a hot secretary offered to date them in exchange, someone who falls to temptation that easily has no place in our class... and with all due respect Hirata, here's a question for you; say Ayanokoji gets expelled... what's stopping Yamauchi from attempting to expel another innocent student? I get that you cannot accept my methods, but sometimes hard choices need to be made"
@@deinonychus1948 What he did was no worse then horikita. Plus, even after everything Kushida has done she still wants to be her friend and keep her around, even though she’s objectively a worse person then an idiot who was manipulated. That makes her a hypocrite. Hirata had the right idea, even if strategically yamauchi being gone is the smart move, it’s the most cut throat and ruins class relationship. At least if everyone voted blindly without a plan the class could move through it with some dignity.
As Class A said, the King has to stay till the end. I was certain she never intended to actually get rid of Ayanokoji there, probably even sent some positive votes his way just to make sure he didn't get clapped by accident.
1:00 basically the top student will be able to apply at any job in Japan or maybe it’s the whole world not sure but ayanokouji don’t care about that in my opinion he just trying to beat the whole system they got
Hirata is an idealist and that’s one of his major defects for starting out in Class D. It’s annoying to see but you can understand that’s who he is. At least his mask has finally fallen
Sakayanagi wanted to keep Ayanokoji safe (for their competition) and expell Yamauchi (cuz he had tripped her in episode 1 of this season). So she did all this to make sure these two things are achieved.
I hope the reason why Ayanokoji got no1 would be mentioned in the next episode... coz its certainly not that his classmates felt bad for him so they gave him votes. The reason Yamauchi got expelled and Ayanokoji got saved was kinda similar and we really need the anime to say it
Ayanokoji didn't need to do anything. He knew from the start that sakayanagi was messing around with his class. His safety was guaranteed since sakayanagi wants to have a one on one against him and wouldn't have him expelled. So, she made all of class A vote for ayanokoji. Not only that, yamauchi dug his own grave by being blunt and a lot of his classmates and those from class A voted against him. As for Ichinose, ayanokoji exchanged all of Ryuen's private points to vote for Ryuen. Not only that, he made Ryuen's followers and Class B vote against Manabe in order to make sure that Kei's past remains protected indefinitely. Ryuen was saved. Ayanokoji got the trust of Ryuen's friends. Ichinose was saved from Nagumo. Ichinose is now indebted to Ayanokoji. Ayanokoji made sure that Nagumo doesn't have control over the first years which means that he can't use Ichinose against horikita when she joins the council. Ayanokoji reduced kushida's influence. Ayanokoji broke hirata and will later make him indebted to him. He use the opportunity to switch class leadership from hirata to horikita. Yamauchi's expulsion will push sudo and ike to actually work harder so as not to be at the bottom. Sakayanagi made it impossible for katsuragi to betray her since he doesn't want his followers to get expelled and he has to help the class. Sakayanagi also understood kushida's true nature and has a better understanding of ayanokoji's classmates and how they operate. The biggest W for ayanokoji is that he got a protection point that will protect him from expulsion in the future.
The show did a good job in making Yamauchi unlikable the past couple episodes. He was always useless, but other classmates have been useless, he went out of his way to be detestable. Pushing that rumor bs while everyone was trying to downplay it. Always being annoying and sexist to everyone around.
