You nailed it dude. I ordered this over others cause all the buttons are there. AliExpress has 11/11 sale right now so the 6gb model is prettyyy affordable imo. For the AC thing, maybe one of your connections is a bit loose? Probably not worth taking everything apart though if it's not bothering you. Thanks for the follow up! Super hyped to get mine.
With the amp situation you're gonna have to replace it eventually. I cleaned out the dust, and plastic and duck taped the area. Haven't had any moisture issues since.
Hi, bought this exact one preowned for 250€ for my Lexus IS 220d Diesel to replace my broken DVD Navi Head unit, as a OEM replacement from the junkyard would have cost me 30€ more. Is that USB Connector Cable that short, or can i lay it into the glovebox?
I have NAV+Back Camera on my 2006 IS350 but NAV ECU does not work. Screen works just no NAV. Would this Apple Carplay head unit work without NAV ECU working?
I have this exact unit and ordered from link posted by you.. The unit works well but the sound coming from the rear speakers is a lot lower than the sound coming from the front speakers.. Have you experienced an issue like this?

does anyone know why the volume would not function anymore from the dash volume ,the steering wheel volume controls function as they should ... aftermarket amps are installed using the audio outputs on the unit
I contacted the seller and they said the fitment doesn’t support 2012 2IS models. I’m confused if 2012 doesn’t haven’t the option for aftermarket display or i just can’t find the write one. not sure what to do

Did it happen to anyone that the hazard lights are blinking while you start the engine? Then and after the check is completed the hazard lights are turning off and they work normal.
There are three plugs that are kind of on one wire loom: one is for the 06-12 with no nav, one for 06-07 with nav, and one for 08-09 with nav. You should only be using one of these plugs.
Kind of late but mine is doing the same thing. When I turn the car off, the hazard lights start blinking but when I turn it on they function like normal. Did you figure out the fix? Thanks
@@Vaxry Unfortunately I didn't find the chance to check it out, but it has to do something with the connections. I was told by the seller do not connect three cables. Also, regarding the "Passenger" indication I thought it was the passenger's seat belt, but as I read it's the passenger's airbag. Not sure about that though. Another thing regarding is, if I switch the passenger's airbag off, then the hazard alarms are blinking all the time, no matter what.
@@sotiriosmichairinas1593 I found out what the issue was. There is a cable that says 06-07 on it from the Headunit. I have a 2008 and had it connected and it was causing the hazards to blink when car was off. Once it was unplugged everything worked normal.
Hi! Theres videos on youtube on how to take the oem head unit out of the car. After that everything is plug and play wire wise. I didn’t have any previous experience, it took about 2 hours for me to install it but its not hard at all
Question! do you know if there is a reset button? I ask because out of the random it isn’t touch sensitive anymore? I have re touch it to comprehend what I want it to do. The other day Apple CarPlay was acting funny, it just began skipping the time length of the song and what not, not sure if all of this is due to it being programmed as wirelessly rather than wired? But it’s just annoying. Do you also know if it is warranty?
Got an is-f with mark levinsons, but head unit started acting up when in wide open throttle.(like you said during a bump) this is-f is lowered and stiffed then stock. so hoping that this unit works with Levi sons amp, and all it’s speakers? Ani idea? What gps do u prefer? Google maps, maps r Apple Maps work on this unit?… Thanks.
Hey bro I have a similar mode. I used to use Wireless but it became spotty. I am installing my wired CarPlay but having trouble getting CarPlay to pop up. Did you have to change any settings or do anything else’s? Thanks
The carplay is screwed up on mine too. Won’t connect wirelessly or wired. Did factory reset and still doesn’t work with the TLink5 app even when I redownload TLink5 from the APK Installer
I'm getting one cause my screen froze and I want an updated one instead of fixing it and then getting the add-on which is way more pricier to do. My only question that I hope someone can answer under this thread is if the oem back-up camera is plug and play?
@@my2is Hey thanks for the feedback. One more question - do you get hissing sound when no music is playing? I am worried that factory amp and stereo amp will make an hissing static noise when no music is playing.
I did this swap - had the original nav unit + camera + mark levinson. Aftermarket camera is hard to install - it is very different from the factory one and we had to make a kind of a stand under it, so it sticks enough to be useful. Run wires etc. is also not easy. Seller says you could connect the original one, but resolution would seem very bad on the new display. You loose the active guide lines when reversing. Buttons on the wheel - next track and previous track/ station are switched and you can do nothing about it. While the music/audio is not bad, it can't be compared to the original Mark Levinson audio - not so clear & loud and gets distorted pretty early on. EQ is s*it - you pretty much have to use the presets. GPS antenna is really weak so i installed it under the cover of the center speaker on the dash (remove the plastic box first). Now it works fine. Pretty big upgrade, compared to original outdated nav, but has its downfalls of course. Get the 6GB Ram version.
@@Juxnchito Seller says it should work, but you have to rewire it (run new wires from the original camera to the head unit) and set it in the settings menu to NTSC signal. The resolution and quality would be quite lower than the aftermarket camera, which is great but a pain in the a** to install properly.
@@johntuffthe image isn’t terrible at all, it has the same output as the oem head unit which also is probably better because it is a larger display size
@@my2is I’m just confused from the adapter wiring clips that go between oem and the new one… granted I also have the oem nav system wiring💀 I assume it’s probably different from the non-nav systems
@@my2is - For install, did you keep the Tire pressure box (the black box attached at the top of the radio bracket), or does it get replaced by something with the new head unit?
I just installed my headunit, and the buttons won't work. Did you have to set some settings for it on the headunit? One of your questions were about the radio. Mine works. I just put the antenna on the headunit, instead of the radio itself. Grt Marvin
@@my2is that might be. I just entered my car and now i have my ‘danger’ lights blinking. Is there a way to disable them via the screen? My buttons won’t work. I guess otherwise tomorrow my battery is empty;) I did a factory reset for the head-unit via the menu, now the 'danger' button is off.
@@my2is thanks for you feedback. Due to that, I investigate the problem and found it. The wiring from the factory went wrong. The wrong side of the connector was used, therefore i could not Connect the other side. Can i add pictures here for other people who might have this issue?

@@pd5041 you might have a vacuum leak somewhere. I had the same exact issue (it wasn’t throwing any codes) so I went in and checked the hoses going into the intake manifold and sure enough the one that connects the PCV valve into the intake mannifold was loose (I guess that one comes loose really easily on the 2gr-fse) so I double clamped it and now it’s good.
@@Joethetuber Did yours have the OEM camera? Also does this unit plug directly into the OEM camera or will I need to wire in the new camera? No worries if you don't have the answer :)
