HOW TO: Install Aftermarket Radio in Lexus IS250/IS350/ISF

Just an FYI from 2006 to 2010 you can easy put this type into as I've found out the hard way 2010 to 2013 this type of head unit won't go in as the wiring changed at 2010 and up so hope I saved you money before getting one

Great walkthrough and explanation. Wish I would have gotten this one to replace everything vs. the one that just replaces the upper portion of the center console.

I did learn something new watching this video which was one of my biggest concerns . When I would raise or lower the volume on the steering wheel it will sound different from raising or lowering the volume touching the screen. Hopefully car setting , set into car will fix the probably . I kept peaking the audio and hearing distortion and static from the speakers

If my car already had a built in rear camera with navigation system, could I just connect the stock cameras cable to the new radio unit or do I have to run a new line ? Please advise.

Which canbus decoder do you use? I have 2006 IS, got Teyes CC3 with canbus decoder and rear camera. Everything works perfectly, but it’s no dynamic parking lines on rear camera, only static traces. I tried a lot of methods to fix it, but nothing helped me. In my opinion, the reason is canbus decoder - there is no steering wheel angle decoding in my version. Could you help me please? I trying to resolve this issue about 1.5 years, but it’s not enough information in web. I see that you have 2006/2007 IS with WORKING dynamic parking lines at the rear camera, and you are the only man who can help me.

The display won't turn on, my flashes work, my security light works and the passenger button comes on, and the lights but my display wont come on and there is no sound. When I connect my phone to the usb , it keeps going on and off , I’m not sure if a wire is loose or something , my a/c seems weaker than normal as well on my 2006 lexus is350. Sometimes the screen lighting glitches and blinks for a bit . I tried to connect to my hotspot but it won’t even find any phones just houses and different cars Wi-Fi’s . I’m not even sure how to screen mirror yet on iPhone lol. Just got this car btw . Thinking about resetting the whole system and logging into with a email. The nav and browser says it’s offline as well I guess you have to be connected to wifi all the time ? Sometime my door icons stays open when it’s actually closed as well . I’m going to try to update but if nothing gets better . Might go get everything calibrated and rebooted or whatever with new wires etc i guess

Hey will this work for an is250 from 2010 I think I found the same one on Amazon is oled and everything I asked if the manufacturers wiring harness and canbus will work for the 2010 because I think the wiring changes.. I am just trying to make sure I just ordered it through Amazon it comes Friday I want to make sure it will work before then

This is a cmprehensive video. I have this same tesla style on my IS 250, but the touchscreen malfuctions at present. Some parts od the screen are not responding. Is this an hardware or a software problem? The screen is not broken so I'm surprised some parts are not working.

I see you have a yellow rca connected that is lying horizontal down under the bundle of wires. Im not talking about the rear view camera harness, i can see your rear view camera harness and rca clearly and i have mine connected like yours(black and little red wire) i have a disconnected yellow male rca labeled camera and two disconnected yellow female rca one labeled video out and the other cvbs in 1. Which connects to what?
