@@roberternest4641 I'm honestly surprised that this name is being mentioned here, I stumbled upon one of his clients testimony last two months in CNBC world news and decided to try him out...I'm Expecting my third cashout in 2days
Thanks for a fair and honest presentation. That's one of the reasons I subscribed long ago. Personally, living on a pension, I am not able to buy expensive things. With that said, of my dealings with PSA over the past few years, I've never been disappointed. Their products are reasonably priced and the quality has never been an issue.
I would give customer service a better rating than a C personally. I called them once to ask a question on a order I placed and based on feedback from the rep I asked if I could cancel my order and order a different part. Prompt order cancellation and I was able to place a new order which shipped later that day. I would say A- and the reason for the minus was having to wait on hold for 45 minutes.
I've built many rifles with PSA lowers and uppers. As you pointed out, the furniture isn't anything special but it works. You can always change that to something that catches your eye. I've recently been buying PSA's "blemished" stripped lowers. They look pretty good to me and they have all worked flawlessly. No problems. :) Thanks for the video.
I have had very good luck with PSA uppers. Excellent value for the price, which for a recreational shooter (like myself) get the job done. It's also all American made!
Great comments. I have an Anderson AR-15 lower, and it's worked fine for the most part. I don't get the disdain many people seem to have for their brand.
They had a couple runs of lowers that were out of spec. Also, a gun writer was testing a rifle, and the barrel was loose. Of course, they also sell more lowers than anyone else.
@@brettbaker5599 Yeah, you get what you pay for. I wish I had the green to afford a Gucci AR, but I have to pay a mortgage and I have a powerful need to eat this year.
Got a couple "Poverty Ponies". Can't find a thing to gripe about with either of 'em. They both do everything I could reasonably expect from a rifle, and with PSA uppers slapped on top of 'em, I paid less for both than I did for my first "ready-to-run" (A Del-Ton) AR. Bonus: I actually like 'em better than the Del-Ton. (Which isn't saying the Del-Ton is bad - only that, for pure personal preference reasons, I don't like it as much as I like the rifles I built on the ponies)
I have build several Anderson lowers , PSA lowers I recently build a Aero lower for my 300 BO pistol . All seem to be functional. I have match up PSA lowers and BCA uppers. Fit and finish mate up nicely. I really like the side charger upper from BCA only issue is that you need to carry a Allen wrench to remove the bolt No big deal unless your in the field .
I've built 4 PSA AR's this year and every one of them shoot great. No misfires, feeding or ejection problems. From 8" through 14.5. I'm a very happy PSA customer.
I bought one of their premium uppers a few years back. It was a 20" FN CHF Govt. profile barrel with a 15" Geissele Mk8 SMR and gas block. It shot like absolute crap, and the gas block came loose. It turned out everything was only assembled finger-tight. No grease on the barrel nut, no dimpling of the barrel, no rockset on the set screws, and no pin installed in the gas block. Once I corrected all of those issues, it was a nice 1 MOA or better upper.
Agree with your thoughts. Customer service and quality control are hit/miss. I’ve had nightmare experiences with a canted FSB that went back 3 times and got worse, and had fabulous experiences with basic rifles and components. Contacting them can be hit or miss too.
Been buying from PSA for about 6 yrs and have only had to contact Customer Service Once. And it was a 100% positive experience. Fast, No Hassle Service.
I love Palmetto. I bought a PCC from them and I love it. It is perfect for my gf to use and a prime home defense tool. We live in a townhome so I do worry about over penetration. My only gripe with my PCC is that it doesn't have last round bolt open. It is a small gripe. I bought it knowing that. If I was dead set on having that feature, it would of been an extra 3-500 more dollars from a different company. I also bought two stripped lowers. One was used to build a MK12-ish style rifle and the other will be used for 300BLK SBR. It does exactly what I need them to do. I've recommended Palmetto to all of my gun buddies.
I'm a big fan of PSA. I've had a couple items with flaws. Customer service was great. One item was sent back and fixed quickly and the other item I chose a discount coupon and kept it as is. I haven't had any function issues with any PSA product.
PSA can have QC issues but they will address them. I purchased one of their blem premium uppers that I had to send back due to a feed ramp issue. They addressed it and I had my upper back in about 2 weeks. I love their daggers and the value you get from PSA is fantastic.
10 + years and no issues. Happy with the quality. Happy with the service. I like my Dagger much more than my G19. better trigger, and came cut for a red dot. Sadly there are people that just need to have high dollar name brands to tell others what they have. I am a veteran, and my bought rifles, are better than what I was issued. I bought and sold Colts, Rock Rivers, and I am happy with my basic Freedom rifle. I am not spec op wannabe. I need it to go bang, and hit the target within 2" at 100 Yards. They just work. I could care less about finish. I use my rifles, run and gun and dirt and sand will wear finishes. if you want a safe queen, buy that $2500 Dan Def and tell everyone what you have. I bought a PSA and 1500 rounds of ammo.
I love the people at Palmetto State Armory. I especially like all their custom "tolling" lowers they have come out with over the years. The world would be a much better place if it had more freedom loving people in it like those at Palmetto
Glad to hear your opinion and review of PSA, I hope you continue to put out more content and also do your review on that 308 from Ruger that you got awhile back. Definitely would like to know what you think of it?!
There are a lot of reviews on the Tube. The only ones worth anything are from people that have purchased the items from their own pocket without any discounts.
Makes perfect sense and we'll said on your description. I am so happy someone finally put it into perspective especially now with everyone on you judging one another.
I hear more good than bad about PSA. Mostly a lot of good. They improved the quality of their AR components and their AK's are pretty decent, especially for the price. I used to avoid PSA but I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them today.
From my personal experiance , I've built two guns with all their stuff and both of them are incredible in every way you can imagine for a firearm . I have no problems recommending Palmetto state armory to anyone .
way better than a C on customer service. read the comments. not one person said they had issues with cs. they will fix any problem you have. psa is a great company for sure.
Well I tell you what , I wanted a field/ tractor rifle with more punch than a .22 mag , and lighter than my Rem 700 .243, i didnt want to trash any of my better AR15 rifles this this was over the summer , maybe late spring 2022 , I built a bare bones Palmero AR for under $400 , I bought everything on sale or with coupon , I did not care about matching finish , blem or furniture color because I can paint it camo for $12 bucks The rifle shoots about 2 1/2 -3 MOA at 100 yds with a SIG Romeo 5 RDS using steel cased .223 , more than enough to spin a Coyote, or tumble a fox and its not even really broken in yet , about 500 rds max and zero malfunctions , with the romeo 5 I have perfect co-witness incase I forget to turn the dot on (I'm old) I do not have to worry about scratching , dirt , beating it , I've decided to upgrade it to a carbine free float Hogue tube handguard ,you know because I'm addicted to tinkering But for under$400i was up and running not including optic , I will upgrade a Palmeto enhanced trigger on a Palmeto pistol I have to a geissele , and this rifle will get that trigger
i just bought a PSA AK second hand, the folding stock had a bent latch. i reached out to PSA told them upfront i bought it second hand. no problem they got back to me the next day and sent me the new part as well as offered to pay for shipping to send it in. second time i had used there customer service. id give it an A
The whole point of PSA is to make it affordable for everyone, and not just affordable but better than decent quality. You don’t necessarily go there because of variety.
PSA is good people. I like that theyre constantly changing things and adding products in order to stay competitive without turning their name into a tax in itself like Glock, HK, FN etc seem to do. That said i still have some gripes; firstly i dont like nitride finishes. Bead blasting can help a little, but i prefer a good chrome lined barrel. DC Machine, who makes all of PSA's barrels, does an awesome job and their attention to detail is well on point, but PSA doesnt offer any chrome lined barrel AR's that arent made by a different manufacturer. You must chose between nitride, bare phosphate and stainless. PSA's basic 'in-house' LPK's arent bad but they arent great either. When im in search of a basic lower parts kit i still find myself going Stag or Damage Ind because they atleast use Schmid Tool & Co parts for their kits (Damage Ind to a lesser degree, but still arguably better than PSA kits). Again though, PSA's stuff is fine and it will work 99% of the time...even if the colors and finishes of the parts provided in the kit dont match eachother very well lol. Lastly, PSA's standard carbine handguards for their FSB uppers are still flimsy, rough and only have a single insulator on each half. One might say thats fine because most people will change the handguard anyway but the last time i put a super basic 16" M4 styled carbine together from a PSA upper/lower i didnt want to change parts. Forgot my gloves on that range trip and learned pretty quick just how lousy their handguards are cuz i might as well have just wrapped the barrel in aluminum foil and it would have felt the same way. So i got a newer set of Colt M4 handguards and they worked great. Its funny how .750 barrels seem to get so much hotter or atleast seem to retain a lot more heat than .625 barrels. I know mil spec cut barrels are all .625 behind the gas block/FSB but i still have an old pencil barrel Bushmaster XM15-e2 that has the skinny handguard with only one heatshield and it works just fine. Maybe its just me idk. PSA is awesome, their business model is awesome and from a value standpoint it really is amazing what PSA can give to its customers while being affordable and easy to work with. I just ordered a PSA Dagger, theyve got them right now in a kit with ten pmags and some kind of soft-shell case i cannot ever see myself using. But im excited, its my first Glock that isnt made by Glock lol. TBH i was looking to get another Girsan M9 "clone" but i saw the ad, did a little research on the Dagger pistols, and decided to try it out. Itll also be my first green colored handgun, just thought that it was more interesting in a sea of FDE and black. Ive heard about the trigger pins backing out and hatred of the profile for not conforming to Glock holsters but Im not worried about repair mods and i dont even like kydex (i know, crazy right?). Anyway Oregon is trying to pass a law that requires classes and a permit process for FFL transactions, if passed it may or may not stick, but i went with PSA as kinda my "last hurrah" if you will, before the ballots come in. Im good for AR's, though ironically at this time i actually dont have any PSA rifles lol. Judt Anderson, Bushmaster, Colt and Delton ;'-D
I bought a 1000 rnd case of m855 from them 7-8 years ago it was grimey reloads w some split necks advertised as new factory AE after that I was very leery of buying stuff from them but I seen some videos of people saying they turned their stuff around but they had some unbeatable deals over the years and a couple years back bought my first complete lower w/ sba3 and separately complete 10.5" upper for a total of just 389$ fit and finish is nice and more importantly runs and shoots great I made a few videos of coyote hunting and shooting at 320 yds w/ vortex sparc red dot with it they have redeemed themselves to me I bought a Ruger AR556 from SW that blew out the mag and ruptured the case head shooting factory ammo because it had a chamber and bcg that could close on a no go gauge so any quality company can let a couple through the cracks Since then have been reloading for a while now so it's been along time since I bought Ammo from anyone except rim fire some years back they had a daily deal for 120 rnds AE m855 and a premium bcg for like 59.99 I bought 3 all good brand new quality items I still got the ammo unopened in those little green plastic "ammo cans". Just like primary arms scopes I bought one 4-14 r-grid scope I did not care for and got rid of but now they stepped their game up I still don't own any of their scopes (I don't care for their reticals) but own a couple of their red dots their deals, shipping and customer service has always been good to me
I've had great luck with their complete lowers. Complete uppers, not so much. Canted FSB on one, and picatinny out of spec on another. PSA did make it right on both issues in about a two week turnaround. It sucks, but I keep going back.
Been running a PSA 10.5" 'pistol' for about 4 (maybe 2K rounds) years with ACOG TA11F. My wife took it away from me. Under $500 'pistol' $1100 optic. Accurate reliable, my wife took it away from me. Did I say my wife took it from me. It stands up to factory my Spikes. Armalite. Windham. Colts. No complaints about any, but the PSA is a value price. I don't build. So there may be better value out there..... Surprised and delighted by PSA until my wife decided it was not mine any longer, I liked that little gun.....
i've tried to call our local shop and never even got to talk to a human. so the customer service as i concerns phone calls to my local store gets an f. but the products i've gotten from them new and a few items from them i bought use have all been satisfactory i'd say. but i'm not a big spender (much to my displeasure) so i aint gonna be able to torture test any of the pieces i've got no matter from who or from where i got them from even non ar platforms. but i'm happy with the items i got that has their label on it.
I’ve bought a lot from them. Most has been good. I got a basic FCG that would lock up sometimes and a 300BO that was way over gassed. But generally they are a good budget option.
I was looking into getting my G19X milled (kinda didn't want too) for a Red Dot.. So I just bought a $199 (sale, free shipping) complete PSA Dagger Slide- SW4 GatorMouth cut, RMR milled, with cover plate, threaded barrel w/cap, in FDE to slip on my G19X & swap out the backplates & make her beautiful in my eyes but still a great tool. 🤟 I couldn't get a custom cut SW4 GatorMouth slide milled for less than $300 if I sent my G19X upper off to someone else. I do have a brand new BCA 8.5" pistol Upper that I can't hit a barn wall with! lol it'll hit at 50y but won't zero. Just when I think it's zero'd? The rounds start flying in a 10" plus grouping. I've shot 55g to 75g match grade ammo but soon as that 16" upper goes on? It'll drive nails at 100y. Any suggestions on that BCA pistol upper?
I would give PSA their phone customer service an B-minus on the phone and I live in SC and have visited their Columbia store and their store associates get an A-plus. They really should balance this disparity with phone customer service. As for their products they get an A-plus-plus.
I bought one part accessory from them. Seems to be perfect. Did I get lucky? The only rattle trap AR I ever got was a vintage Colt original type sporter. That bothered me alot. Besides the non standard takedown.
I've bought more. I'll lead with that. Everything I've bought needed customer service. When I got it back, it was all perfect. If you have the time to play the game it's beautiful
Not a fan of PSA parts. I bought a brand new PSA Buffer tube from them and it was damaged. threads were damaged and the bottom of the tube was dented. I called customer service and they wanted me to pay to ship it back. It was not worth to ship it back. The cost with shipping was 34.97. I just ended up taking the lose and decided not to buy PSA parts anymore.
Hey I shoot about 30k to I think more like 40k. Wow how my sub conscious sorts of makes me not think of it like that. Yup I have blown about $20,000 in ammo alone this year. Oh mine
Have 3 daggers.first one was a turd.second one was better. third one was best.still part fitment is all over the place but they have worked even though they needed help
They tend to over gas there ar15s because way too many people run that cheap com bloc under powered trash ammo instead of buying quality American nato spec ammunition that properly works.
I way overpaid on a XDM Elite 9 and 3 days later they lower the price and when I try to contact them to get it resolved some silly lady says go online and I couldn't find anything and so I will never order anything from them ever again until it's resolved!
I dont get your issue. You bought a thing that later went on sale and you expect to get a rebate equal to the new sale price? It doesnt work like that. Nothing does.
Uh, you ordered it before a sale my dude. Tough luck, it happens. Just happened to me the other day. Thats not their issue, nor yours. That was just bad timing. Use your head instead of your hurt fee-fees.
@@georgewhitworth9742 dude 2 days after I bought it I don't care what anybody says they should have honored the sale price and then on top of that I had to pay transfer fee and shipping F that and f your opinion.
Here in Colorado PSA guns are ghost guns. I have never seen one, don't know anyone who has ever owned one or even been able to get out their special wait lists. PSA seem to do more in hyping their guns in social media by paying people off than actually making them or selling them in a convenient way. And if ever did break how would ever get it serviced if they ever even have time to respond given its already near impossible to buy one.
some of their stuff sells out in minutes, and they are giving hell to their competition. and some of their daily deals are remarkable, i'd love to see their sales numbers.
The last PSA upper i saw, the hole in the upper's back lug was so far back it didnt pin even tho it's slotted. The one before that had a record player finish in the upper. The last bcg I bought from them was pitted big time and then they sent me a replacement where the bolt was too.
I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH PSA UPPERS, LOWERS OR ANY OF THEIR PARTS, CAN'T COMMENT ON CUSTOMER SERVICE AS I NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS OR SHIPPING.
