I can't thank Kathy for how honest she was about crying out that is how I feel many times. I'm blessed with a beautiful grandson who is very autistic. I tell the Lord I don't understand because we have to have lots of money in order to really help him. I try to help in every way I can but it is very difficult when he and family have so many needs.I also want to say Kathy I'm sorry for your great loss but the Lord is your comfort.
My husband was a man of prayer. When we prayed together it was so much easier than it is now that he is gone to Heaven. I'm surprised that they didn't mention praying together as one of the keys to praying. We had a 25 minute slot in the morning when we prayed and actually I would do most of the praying, because he prayed much every day. I was the one who needed the time of praying together to help me have a better prayer life. Now I pray with friends on the phone, or I even text prayers to friends and family as I cover them in prayer. I have a friend who always asks at the end of a phone conversation, "How can I pray for you?" I tell her and then we pray. I also try to pray for people that I converse with by phone or in person. These are all helps for me.
Beautiful quote from Tim on prayer: "I really want to have to pull myself away from prayer." May our time in prayer be so enthralling and rapturous, that we would rather remain in God's presence than engage in any other activity.
This is such a good authentic interview for both Kathy and Tim. I feel good that I am not alone in my prayer life. We will miss Tim. He is such a godly human being and he finished well! Praying for Kathy and family for comfort and peace in the passing of Tim. They sure will miss Tim too.
@@deborahconnolly8949 She is human same as you. If intideed she did, i dont think it was intentional. Tim is human as well. Please dont be a glass half empty!
So glad you speak from real life with the heart of Jesus and not from ' great life experiences ' which are only for some happy few who ' made it'. God bless you richly! Love you and your ministry!
Excellent questions! I love to hear the different answers by Kathy and Tim. This really opened my views on my communication with God. Thank you kindly and may God keep you and bless you.
Great stuff early on about 1) frusrtration and anger with God/arguing with God 2) Praying the Psalms and how to do it in the first five minutes. He covers a fuller understanding of prayer later. Such a great family, such a sad loss.
I have been reading your book,Songs of Jesus~ my sister & Cuz- are in nursing home & I read to them daily out of this book. Separately. I am blessed & they seem to enjoy. Thank you both!

It was good until the 14th minute and the New York apartment thing started making this teaching go off the rails and then Kathy said my prayer life just turned to “whatever !” Which jjust seemed like you don’t care. I would’ve heard the rest of it. It didn’t turn into a comedy routine, unfortunately. I disagree with her that she turned everything over to the sovereignty of God. Go read the stories of Moses and Abraham how they even made God repent and change his mind. So much for making everything into the sovereignty of God. That’s too lopsided. It’s too bad she didn’t keep some things from her charismatic days like FAITH To move mountains. “Oh look there’s a mountain in my way! Whatever!” Bad theology.
